Customer Questions:

Q: Does the LEM come with a larger wattage element...160-170 degree internal temperature is not sufficient to cook pork that should have a cooked temperature of 190+ degree. Also,, are there any product reviews anywhere ? Thanks, D. Jaxon
A: The information shown on our page here is to show the insulation quality of the unit. It will maintain an internal temperatures of 160 - 170 degrees F inside the smoker even when the outside temperature is as low as 5 degrees F. However the 750 watt heating element gives you an internal temperature range of 130-220 degrees F.

Q: Does this smoker have any dampers?
A: The LEM Electric Meat Smoker Model 738 does not have dampers.

Q: this lem is only for outdoor? it could be use in like a kiosk cart?
A: For safety reasons this LEM Meat Smoker is only recommended for use outdoors.

Q: This model 738 says it has an 750 watt heating element where as LEM.com claims it to be an 500 watt heating element?
A: Per LEM the heating element was changed to 700 watts in the summer of 2010. The heating element was 1000 watts, then changed to 500 watts and finally adjusted to 700 watts to allow the unit to reach the desired temperature and maintain that temperature. We have corrected the information on our site. I apologize for the error.
