I bought this toaster a little over a year ago and now it does not work. I saw other reviews that said the same thing but ignored them. I loved it at first and it is great for the kids to make their own breakfast but I can not afford to and will not buy a new toaster every year or two. I will be looking for a different brand toaster now.

Not Reliable - |

I bought this Back to Basics Egg and Muffin toaster a year ago, replacing the one I had previously purchased because it went out after a years use. This one has gone out as well. It does a great job steaming the egg and sauage and toasting the muffin, but it tends to go out after about a years use.
I will not buy another!!

My only wish is that it was designed to make 2 eggs at one time.

I purchased this item online approx. one year ago. I do like the egg steaming feature and use it everyday; however, after several months the toaster was useless as the lever to depress for toasting quit working and I about broke my fingers trying to get it to stay down (at first it would with several vigorous pushes then quit altogether). The egg poaching tray sticks like crazy even with non-stick spray. So now I have a large item on my counter that I use to steam four eggs every morning. Will purchase another egg cooker without attached toaster. Too bad...It was a good concept.

This Back to Basics Egg and Muffin Toaster is as good as it comes and you can customize your McMuffin. It even times the muffin with the egg cooking so they are both finished at the same time.

Thought it would just take up space! - |

Once I used this Egg and Muffin Toaster, I knew that I would make space on my counter for it. I've had it over a year and still love it. Great for controlling your protions, and even works with egg beaters (use the higher water mark on the measuring cup). I would recommend tracking down a couple extra of the egg pans - they seem to lose a little of their non-stick quality after a while.

Mixed... - |

I used to LOVE this toaster! I have raved about it to many, many people - most of whom have bought one themselves. And then - all of a sudden - it doesn't work anymore. The steamer just doesn't work. The light goes on and I can get bread to toast, but eggs? Forget it. So sad. I'm not sure what to do. I wish there was someone I could talk to about this. Maybe there's any easy solution without the hassle of tracking down another one...

My Husband and I found this Egg & Muffin Toaster at Marshalls. We both use it every morning to make egg, cheese, and ham sandwiches. It is fast and easy to use.. you won't be stopping at McDonald's drive through for breakfast anymore. I highly recommended it. We bought another one for my dad as a gift.
