Bosch Universal 6 Quart Mixer with Additional Attachment Promotion Option

The Bosch Universal Mixer is our most popular mixer for bread making. This mixer will mix through up to 15 pounds of dough, and most of our kitchen mixers are not capable of that or anything close to that, as bread dough is particularly hard on a mixer. The Bosch Universal has a large 6 1/2 quart bowl. We have sold hundreds of the Bosch mixers and extremely rarely experience an unhappy customer. We frequently have customers who have had their Bosch Mixer for 20+ years call to buy parts. Obviously these customers really like their mixer a lot if they are going to bother fixing a 20 year old mixer. We think you will be really happy with your Bosch Mixer purchase if you are planning on doing medium-heavy duty home mixing. If you plan to only do small batches of foods, we would recommend that you look at the Bosch Compact Mixer. The Bosch Universal includes a plastic bowl, dough hook, whips, splash ring, & cover. Four controlled speeds plus a momentary switch for pulse operation. The Universal comes with the best warranty in the business, including a 3 year motor warranty.

This Bosch Universal Mixer Includes

  • Bowl - 100 % BPA Free
  • Wire Whips with Driver
  • Metal Dough Hook
  • Splash Ring and Lid
Bosch Universal Mixer Features:
  • Standard equipment: heavy duty 6.5 quart bowl, stainless steel dough hook, bowl cover, french whisks
  • Three controlled speeds plus a switch for pulse operation
  • Built in circuit breaker protects the powerful 800 watt motor
  • Easy to clean, convenient to use and store

    • Hello,
I have a question for you. My husband bought me a bread mixer that is this model I think http://www.everythingkitchens.com/boschUKM.html and if you look at that small tower to the right of the mixing bowl, it is the drive for the blender (you can click a blender on top of that tower part). Well I clicked the blender in and poured 2 cups of milk WITHOUT PUTTING THE BOTTOM part of the blender on right and milk leaked into the drive. I wiped as much as I could off and let it dry a few days but now it is really loud every time we use it. No bad smells or overheating just really loud, any idea why it the liquid spill would make the machine so loud? I really want to get it fixed because I know my husband spent a lot of time choosing it but I would like to have an idea on the problem first! We bought it maybe 4-5 months ago.

      Thank you,
      Felisia

I have used mine for several years. Making bread is absolutely no big deal and it always comes out great. I can make triple batches of cinnamon rolls at one time and the machine doesn't strain at all. it's fabulous! (Posted on 3/31/13)

Nothing Short of Fantastic Review by

My 35 year old Kitchenaid was on it's last legs. It whined and coughed every time I'd knead bread dough in it. I spent endless hours reviewing new mixers and it all came down to the Bosch. I bought it from Everything Kitchens on their Black Friday special and could not be more happy. I followed their recipe and made four loaves of the best bread I've ever made. The mixer is a work horse with the muscle to power through whole wheat bread dough. (Posted on 1/30/13)

Bosch #2!!! Review by

I had my 1st Bosch since 1981. Last year I gave it to my son when my husband bought me a Kitchen Aide. I couldn't get use to it. I missed my Bosch. He just bought me a new Bosch. There was no comparison. Bosch is BEST!!! My favorite difference is the size of the bowl and the ease to adding ingredients during mixing. Ingredients go in the bowl, not half on the counter!!! Ordered this from Everything Kitchens on a Sunday. Paid for two day air shipping and saw that processing time was 48 hours. Was hoping to have by Friday to wrap as a Christmas gift. Delighted to get email on Monday that my mixer shipped, received it Wednesday. We used over the weekend and it's just the cat's meow. Thrilled with Everything Kitchens and Bosch. For the Serious Bread Baker Review by

Rating

What a dream this is to use for mixing heavy whole wheat/grain bread dough! Finally, I can bake more than two loaves at a time--usually four large loaves. All the components are quality made and designed to fit together and remove effortlessly. This machine performs great for large cookie dough batches that my KitchenAid couldn't handle. Would recommend this Bosch mixer for anyone who bakes all their own bread. Try the Nutrimill grinder made by Bosch for grinding wheat grain (Golden 86-- my favorite) to produce your own fresh whole wheat flour. You won't believe the difference in the flavor of using freshly ground whole wheat flour. (Posted on 8/31/11)

Bosch Universal Plus Mixer Review by

I am thrilled with my new Bosch mixer. I bake a lot of bread-type items and the Bosch is a real workhorse. It kneads it so well that the gluten is well developed and it is easy to achieve a wonderfully light loaf.
I actually had to adjust for its power when mixing up batches of cookies. Even on the lowest speed, it is easy to over-mix cookie dough into a gloppy mess. I found that a short series of pulses is better than letting the mixer run. And I would recommend buying the set of whisks for cakes, muffins and some lighter cookie doughs. The cookie paddles are fine for heavy cookie batters. But now that I have the hang of it, it is a snap to whip up piles of cookies. I can't wait to use it for my Christmas baking this year. This is my second Bosch Mixer. The first one one lasted me 28 years of extremely hard usage This new ones has a few new very good improvements. First, it has more power & that is always good. It has the suction cups on the bottom of the mixer & that is a fabulous idea. It has an "interesting" look to it but the performance is fabulous. This one will last me the rest of my baking years so feel like it's a wonderful investment. When my Bosch died, I didn't even consider anything else and my husband didn't see the need to purchase anything but the Bosch as well. (Posted on 8/16/11)

This is the 5th. Bosch machine I've purchased. I used my first Bosch for 25 years daily making everything from Bread, cookies, smoothies, grating, Meat Grinding, ect. I now also have the food processor and love it for making pesto, ect. I replaced my 25 year old machine with the new universal. I like the larger bowl, the removable center, the suction on the bottom and the extra power! I had to get one for each of my children as they now have homes of their own. You will not be sorry if you get one for you or someone you care about (Posted on 8/15/11)

I love my new Bosch Universal Plus Mixer. It is so powerful, easy to use, and mixes quickly and evenly. I love that the batter doesn't stick to the bowl. The bowl and most of the attachments are dishwasher safe which makes clean up even easier. My Bosch is so much better than my previous mixer. (Posted on 8/4/11)

I am happily making bread and bagels in my new Bosch 6 quart mixer after selling my KitchenAid. I would remind buyers to measure their storage space and remember this Bosch Universal machine has a 12" x 15.5 base, is 11" high. I was JUST able to squeeze my new Bosch into my appliance garage! I'm looking forward to getting some of the nifty attachments but will have to free up a drawer just for all the Bosch stuff that goes with the machine. (Posted on 6/5/11)

Economical Solution for Batches of Bread Review by

Rating

I make heavy whole wheat / multi grain breads. Our Kitchenaid professional wouldn't withstand making two loaves (2 lb each) at a time and would overheat and stop. With the Bosch mixer I can make 4 loaves at a time and 3 continuous batches without stopping (12 loaves total). I'm sure I could make more, but my oven is only so big. In the Bosch Universal mixer, the dough is worked enough the first time that I can go right to the bread pan and proof in the oven with a water pan (one step). I wouldn't actually try to make 15 lbs of dough - 8 lbs is comfortable. Any more and it gets difficult to keep the ingredients in the pan from flying out. The post in the center takes some getting used to, but I think it is a good trade off for well mixed dough. You do need a brush to get dough out of the little cracks during wash up taking some extra time. Overall I think the Bosch Mixer is an excellent deal for the amount of bread that most homes are likely to make at once. I freeze and double bag about 10 of the loaves after slicing and this lasts a month. Not as good as right out of the oven, but much better than anything I can get at a store for 50 cents to a dollar a loaf. (Posted on 5/19/11)

Nice for Large Quantities Review by

I bought this Bosch Universal machine because of its large capacity. It works great for bread dough and large batches of cookie dough. As for smaller quantities the paddles sit up too far to cream butter for cakes and smaller batches of cookies. I would still purchase but will continue to use my old KitchenAid for smaller jobs. We retired my old Bosch after thirty eight years of excellent service. I made bread this weekend and was impressed a how quiet the mixer was and how well it mixed a double recipe. The larger bowl is an improvement, and it is easier to get the spatula in to scrape the sides. If I had one appliance to splurge on in my kitchen it would be a Bosch mixer. (Posted on 5/17/11)

Bosch Mixer Review by

I love this mixer. I have had the same kitchenaid for 28 years and it has never needed any repair except a new plug. I just couldn't bake bread with the texture I wanted. I ordered the new bosch after tasting a loaf made by a friend and boy, am I pleased! It turns out my kitchenaid (from 1982) has a 325 watt motor. Well, there's the problem! Now I'm cooking (literally) with 800 watts of dough- blasting goodness. I was concerned at first that since it can handle more than 15 pounds of dough it wouldn't do well with a 2 loaf recipe. It does. I have been very pleased. The reason for the 4 stars as opposed to the 5 is that I find it a little irritating that I have to buy the cookie paddles separately. The Bosch Mixer has oodles of wonderful attachments and I understand that a grinder or pasta maker wouldn't be standard, but cookie paddles??! For crying out loud. (Posted on 5/14/11)

This is my first stand mixer. I have been using it for one month now and it works great! The only negative, is the center fixed piece of the mixing bowl makes it hard to get the ingredients out or to fold the ingredients using the mixing bowl. When folding ingredients, i transfer it to a longer bowl. I have already used the cookie paddles and they work great. The Bosch mixer is a very strong machine, yet light enough to move around unlike other stand mixers. I have not tried making bread dough yet. (Posted on 5/13/11)

I have never been so disappointed in my life. I spent a ton of money on this Bosch Universal machine, and I am very unhappy with it. I have wanted a Bosch for 30 years. My previous machine was a generic version of a Bosch mixer. I was disappointed 30 years ago that I could not afford the real thing. However, that generic mixer was great! It lasted 30 years, and it was fantastic. I have had the Bosch for almost a year now. It just doesn't mix good enough. A big, big disappointment! (Posted on 5/12/11)

Worst Experience Ever! Review by

I bought a Bosch Mixer that leaked dough on the bottom through the shaft and the blades got stuck. Even though it was less than 30 days, the company did not want to help me and the warranty service exchanged the bowl after a lot of hassle. The new bowl (plastic) broke almost immediately and I am back to square one calling L'Equip who does the warranty. I read other reviews and they say that Bosch is now switching back to metal bowl because of this trouble with the product. (Posted on 5/11/11)

A Really Nice Piece of Equipment Review by

Rating
5

I loved my KitchenAid Mixer but due to some interesting circumstances, I traded my KitchenAid to my sister for the new Bosch Universal Plus. Because I make lots of yeast breads, I think I now have the perfect machine. The motor can keep up easily and the protective cover is easy to use (important for keeping the flour from flying all over which is a problem with this Bosch machine) I also have the blender and the food processor. The food processor is a bit on the small side but works well and the blender is great for power but I find it harder to clean - the bottom is hard to take apart for cleaning the blades and even harder to get the threads lined up to put back together. Having said all that, for bread, cookies and general use this Bosch Mixer is an incredible mixer, and I like not having to have a separate blender and I love being able to put everything in the dishwasher! I bought this Universal mixer after my Kitchen Aid died while trying to mix whole wheat bagels. So far have made lots of bagels, whole wheat breads and have been thrilled with it. Also whipped cream and made cookies to try out other attachments. Everything has turned out fine. Not sure how the Bosch Universal mixer does with smaller loaf recipes but my neighbors don't mind loaf donations so I have been using four loaf recipes from book that came with mixer. Easy to clean. It is pretty loud though even lowest setting, just be warned. Totally worth it! (Posted on 5/11/11)

I can't say enough about this mixer! I went in to buy a bigger one, to replace my present mixer. I needed a bigger mixer for bread making. I intended to buy a Kitchenaid but the size I wanted (6 qt) was 1/2" too tall for my cabinets. The sales associate suggested the Bosch Universal Plus 6 qt and said it was great for bread making. He was right! I was very pleased with the service I received from Everything Kitchens too! Thanks! (Posted on 5/11/11)

I'm glad all these people like this Bosch mixer so much. I wanted it badly and got it for Christmas a year ago. What a disappointment. Within a month I had to send it back for repairs, at my considerable shipping cost, because it made a terrible racket. The Bosch Mixer does fine with large batches, but for ordinary baking it is really inadequate and never mixes the flour completely because the beaters don't reach the bottom. The blender sounds like it is going to fall apart every time I use it and the food processor is a joke. Anyone want to purchase a nearly new Bosch Mixer, and accessories, let me know. A Must Have for Bread Baking! Review by

Rating
5

I went back and forth trying to decide between a KA and a Bosch. I finally decided that I wanted a Bosch based on its reputation in the bread baking community. First time I used it, I was skeptical of only letting my loaves rise only once...but as I rolled out the freshly kneaded dough to form into loaves, air bubbles were popping just as if I'd used the first/second rise method. I was amazed. Baked my bread and it was perfect. Bread can be on the table in 90 minutes instead of 4 hours. Go Bosch...you guys rock. BTW, Kitchen Resource (USA warranty source for Bosch) has one of the best Customer Support lines I've ever dealt with. Would highly recommend the Bosch over the KA for all of you die hard bread bakers!! This thing is built for bread! (Posted on 9/2/10)

Bosch Universal Plus Mixer Fantastic Review by

This Bosch Universal mixer is the one to get! It is near impossible to put serious strain on the motor (even with 15 lbs of whole wheat dough). Lots of "extras" which are nice. Blender is fair, slicer/shredder is fantastic, cookie paddles are great, as are the heavier optional mixing whips. Highly recommended product. (Posted on 1/22/09)

I love my Bosch mixer. I have a kitchen aid that the gears stripped out of. It was a large heavy duty one. I am in the process of getting it fixed, but in the mean time I made the decision to buy the Bosch Mixer. Love it. The power is amazing. I bake bread every week, and this handles the amount of dough I need with ease. I am now thinking about getting the different attachments. (Posted on 12/12/08)

The Bosch Mixer is the best stand mixer I have ever used and I've tried them all. It handles triple batches of bread as easily as a single batch. Truly an amazing machine! (Posted on 8/17/08)

I have had the original Bosch Mixer for years. It is fantastic. But I would like to know where I can purchase the Bosch Mixer Manual Handle and other parts. (Posted on 5/6/08)

I've used the older style Bosch Mixer before, and they are incredible machines. You can make 4-6 loaves of whole wheat bread no problem in the Bosch Universal Mixer. Most stand mixers can't do that very well. (Posted on 2/1/08)
