Cuisinart Original 7 Cup Food Processor Brushed Stainless Series (DFP-7BC) Enjoy the Breville Toaster's extra long slots measuring 1.5" wide by 6" deep, accommodating up to 4 slices of larger breads or even bagels in a single toasting cycle. The self-centering carriage of the 4 Slice Breville Toaster positions your toast perfectly between the heating elements. Running the length of each toasting slot are Mica mounted heating coils to ensure fast, consistent results. A unique feature of this toaster is its ability for the bread carriage to be lifted while toasting without resetting or canceling the browning cycle. You can view your toast, and if necessary, cancel the browning cycle at any time. Illuminated by an LCD, the control center of the Breville Toaster features an easy-to-read, extra large screen. Achieving high marks in versatility, up to nine preset browning settings can be selected using the soft-touch dial. Check the progress icon on the circular display, or wait until the toaster beeps to indicate it has finished its task. Quadruple-pressed, brushed stainless steel has been crafted and reinforced to keep this Toaster from being dented. The toaster's slide-out crumb tray is zinc plated for corrosion resistance and easy clean-up. Both the lever handle and control dial are made from soft-touch Thermo-plastic for ultimate handling. Each cycle is controlled by an internal smart chip. When “defrost” or “reheat” functions are selected, it regulates the length of the toasting cycle accordingly. Trouble with Breville Toaster - I purchased a 4 slice Breville toaster for my vacation home and unfortunately threw away receipt. It consistently burns toast when set on "1" and pops toast out of toaster and onto floor. I know it was expensive and now I'm stuck with it, and have to literally stand by it to check toast constantly to prevent burning.

Toaster - Seems to work pretty good almost every time. I've done bagels with the bagel button pressed. They came out OK. It is a toaster and it makes bread brown, the same color as toast and it tastes and smells like toast. If you want more than that, I'd say, get something else, like an oven.

I like it a lot - I'm not experiencing any issues like others describe. I like the toaster for its looks and so, I bought it. The toasting is as even as any toaster I have used before. None are perfect, but this one does well. The bagel setting works well. I find that a setting of 3 or 4 does a refrigerated piece of bread perfectly. I refrigerate because is it just my wife and I and it makes bread last longer. I also find that refrigerating leaves the inside moist and warm while toasting the outside of the toast. For frozen Toaster Strudel, I usually defrost on 2 and then toast on 2 after letting it cool down for a few seconds. That makes it just perfect since the flaky outside can burn easily. I am pleased even though there is a process to some things I toast. The important thing to me is consistent and even toasting which this Breville toaster easily provides.

Great Toaster! Sept 6 ,2008 - I do not have one...... I just used the 4 slice Ikon Breville Toaster for a week, and loved it! I am now shopping for my own and find it to be on backorder...I will wait for this one to be restocked.

Excellent toaster - The Breville 4-slice toaster has worked great since the day we got it. No complaints whatsoever.

Really Great Toaster - I am not easy to please when it comes to toasters. Zero tolerance for poor performance. I took back the last toaster after 5 days of use. So it's with relief and a little bit of surprise that we nailed it on our second try with the Breville Ikon, 4 slice toaster. This is a really great toaster. It toasts and does not dry out the bread in the process. We only have to push the lever down once for it to toast to medium darkness, and that's on setting 4-6 depending on how cold the bread is. The defrost setting allows for extra toasting time for frozen bread. And it's slim so it nestles up against the wall nicely. Not a monster toaster like all the other 4 slice models that take up 1 foot in 2 directions. I had to pay over $100 for this toaster in British Columbia and I'd do it again. Now that's saying something!
