Step up to the legendary performance and quality with the Bunn B10 coffee maker. Modeled after commercial coffee makers, the Bunn Coffee Maker B10 can brew up to 10 cups of coffee in just three minutes. Bunn is the only company that utilizes a water reservoir to keep water hot and on standby, always ready to brew a pot of piping hot coffee quickly and without the normal wait time associated with other home brewers.
How does the Bunn Coffee Maker Model B10 do this? When you first set the Bunn B10 up, you add up to 10 cups of cold water to the water reservoir and turn the power switch on. It will take about 15 minutes to heat the water initially. This water will stay hot and ready until you go to brew a pot of coffee. To begin brewing, you simply add cold water to the reservoir, which then displaces the hot water already in the system. This hot water is sent to the filter basket instantly where it diffuses through your freshly ground coffee. Afterwards, the cold water you just poured in will be heated for your next round of coffee brewing. And if you're planning to be away, just flip the Vacation switch and the heating unit won't continue to maintain the water temperature in a ready state.
Bunn backs up every coffee maker with a three year warranty! In addition you can expect expert support and service from the company that knows a thing or two about coffee makers since they have been in the business for over 50 years! | | Features | |
Simple ControlsSimple and quick operation is the key with the Bunn B10. There are no timers or clocks. Two switches control the whole operation. The main power switch is located on the side of the machine and it is called the Vacation switch. Since the Bunn B10 is always keeping the water hot, you should turn the brewer off before leaving for extended periods of time (longer than 2 days). When you return, turn on the switch and the machine will be ready to brew coffee after 15 minutes of heating. An illuminated switch located on the front of the machine turns the warming plate for the carafe on or off.
Durable ConstructionThe housing is made of durable plastic and the water reservoir, visible in the picture, is made of brushed stainless steel.
Hot PlateUnique to Bunn, the hot plate is made of porcelain and features an on/off switch.
Stainless Steel BoilerThe boiler is made of stainless steel to insure long life and better tasting coffee. It is equipped with a thermostat that regulates the water temperature so that it is kept at the optimum temperature for brewing.
Advanced Spray Head Water DiffuserIn order to achieve the optimum flavor and aroma extraction from the coffee grounds, hot water must saturate all of the grounds early on in the brewing process. Bunn designed the spray head to shower every inch of the coffee grounds.
Installation & AccessoriesYour Bunn coffee maker has excellent instructions and brewing tips, and they are key to the proper set up and use of your coffee maker. Since the Bunn coffee makers are unique in their simple operation, be sure to follow the few steps required to get started.
The advanced spray head requires occasional cleaning to prevent lime build up in the screen. Bunn included a clever device for cleaning, which resembles a long slender spring. Detailed instructions on how to use it are included. They also include a complimentary supply of fluted coffee filters. The filters can be purchased from www.bunnomatic.com, and many grocery outlets.

Q: how do I drain the reservoir?
A: DRAINING YOUR BREWER
The water in your BUNN coffee brewer should be emptied whenever it is taken on a trip,
shipped, stored in an unheated location with a chance of freezing, or goes unused for a
extended period of time. To drain your brewer, use the following procedure:
1. Unplug the brewer. Remove the brew funnel and spray head from the brewer and set
them aside.
2. Cool the brewer by pouring a full decanter of fresh, cold water into the top of the
brewer. Place decanter on the base plate and close the lid. When water has stopped
flowing from the brewer, empty the decanter. Repeat this process and set the
decanter aside.
3. Grasp the back of the brewer and carefully turn it upside down over a sink. Most of
the water in the tank will flow from the spray head tube opening. Some water may flow
from the area around the top lid. Continue tipping the brewer until the flow stops.
4. Replace the spray head and funnel after the water has been drained.
|
Q: How much water is added to the reservoir to heat before brewing your first pot of coffee? I have Bunn model GRX-B.
A: Fill decanter with cold water. Swivel
or lift brewer lid and pour water into
brewer. Position decanter on base
below funnel. Close the lid and wait
three minutes while the internal tank
partially fills. Open the lid. Remove decanter and
fill with cold water again. Pour water
into brewer. Position decanter on base
under funnel and close the lid.Wait until water flows from the funnel.
When water flow stops, pour out
any water that has collected in the
decanter. Replace decanter on brewer
below the funnel.

Q: Is it ok to turn water heater off on tank when not using to save electricity?
A: Yes, you can shut off your Bunn Coffee Maker's water heater when not in use, but it doesn't really save power unless you are using it less than daily. I was told this by the manufacturer when I called them, as they stated that it actually takes more power to heat the water back up to 200 F, than to maintain the temperature unless you have less than daily use. Bunn also stated that it will take 15 minutes for the water to warm back up after having been shut off and fully cooled down.
