The Bunn BT10 Thermal Carafe Coffee Brewer combines the legendary performance of Bunn home coffee makers with a 10 cup stainless steel thermal carafe. Modeled after commercial coffee makers, the Bunn BT10 can brew up to 10 cups of coffee in just three minutes. Bunn is the only company that utilizes a water reservoir to keep water hot and on standby, always ready to brew a pot of piping hot coffee quickly and without the normal wait time associated with other home brewers.
How does the Bunn BT10 Coffee Maker do this? When you first set the Bunn BT10 up, you add up to 10 cups of cold water to the water reservoir and turn the power switch on. It will take about 15 minutes to heat the water initially. This water will stay hot and ready until you go to brew a pot of coffee. To begin brewing, you simply add cold water to the reservoir, which then displaces the hot water already in the system. This hot water is sent to the filter basket instantly where it diffuses through your freshly ground coffee. Afterwards, the cold water you just poured in will be heated for your next round of coffee brewing. And if you're planning to be away, just flip the Vacation switch and the heating unit won't continue to maintain the water temperature in a ready state.

Simple ControlsSimple and quick operation is the key with the BT10. There are no timers or clocks. Two switches control the whole operation. The main power switch is located on the side of the machine and it is called the Vacation switch. Since the BT10 is always keeping the water hot, you should turn the brewer off before leaving for extended periods of time (longer than 2 days). When you return, turn on the switch and the machine will be ready to brew coffee after 15 minutes of heating.
Durable ConstructionThe housing is made of durable plastic and the water reservoir, visible in the picture, is made of brushed stainless steel.
Stainless Steel Thermal CarafeThe carafe is made of double wall stainless steel and it is dishwasher safe. The carafe helps lock in flavor and keeps coffee hot for up to several hours.
Stainless Steel BoilerThe boiler is made of stainless steel to insure long life and better tasting coffee. It is equipped with a thermostat that regulates the water temperature so that it is kept at the optimum temperature for brewing.
Advanced Spray Head Water DiffuserIn order to achieve the optimum flavor and aroma extraction from the coffee grounds, hot water must saturate all of the grounds early on in the brewing process. Bunn designed the spray head to shower every inch of the coffee grounds.

The advanced spray head requires occasional cleaning to prevent lime build up in the screen. Bunn included a clever device for cleaning, which resembles a long slender spring.  Bunn Coffee Maker Carafe -
I have had a Bunn coffee machine for a few years and only now that I am looking for a part do I see this warning about the drippy carafe. I agree, it is a messy drippy poorly designed carafe but the coffee and convenience of this Bunn Coffee Maker is great.

Great Brewer but carafes need work -
Had a commercial Bunn Coffee Maker in the office. When I retired I bought a BTX w/thermal carafe for my home. Brews the same excellent coffee and keeps it hot as long as I need to but the leaking lid on the original carafe kept me from rating the brewer with 5 stars. Bunn sent me a new design but that one has no water level indicator and the tapered body makes it difficult to empty the water from the carafe into the coffee maker. Beats me how a company that makes the best coffee makers in the world has difficulty making a carafe to hold it!

This is the BEST coffee maker. This Bunn Coffee Maker performs like a top of the line appliance. Coffee brews very quickly. Flavor is perfect every time. Coffee stays hot much longer than other thermal pot coffee makers. I wasted a lot of time and money on inferior coffee pots.
It is perfect for my family's needs. I recommend it highly.

 Thermal Carafe Bunn Coffee Maker -
Coffee maker works great. Carafe is horrid. It doesn't pour right and spills everywhere. It only lasted about 6 months, after that it doesn't keep your coffee warm, and it's $65.00 to replace it, vs about $15.00 for a glass decanter.

Great but Needs a More Thermally Efficient Carafe -
I love my Bunn coffee maker because my second cup of coffee it has the fresh brewed taste as the first cup. The Bunn Coffee Maker has no burned taste as other coffee makers tend to do after it sits for a while. I do wish that Bunn would design a more thermally efficient carafe for home use. I often have to zap my second cup a little in the microwave. We use a commercial grade Bunn carafe at work and coffee stays hot for hours.

Coffee Great - Carafe Awful -
We love the speed of the Bunn Coffee Maker and taste of our coffee, but always fill out cups over the sink to catch the spill from the lid of the carafe.

Carafe Needs Improvement -
This Bunn coffee maker works great; good coffee, fast. But the carafe design needs some work. Drips all over when pouring. Ordered a replacement and it is a different design but it still drips. They need to go back to the drawing board. I still would recommend this Bunn coffee maker. Have had nothing but Bunn for past 20 years.
