The Cadco DKR-S2 is a portable electric burner double range cast iron Heavy Duty electric burner with two heavy duty cast iron elements: one 7 1/8 inch diameter (1000W) and one 6 inch diameter (650W). The Cadco DKR-S2 double range electric burner is sleek modern and efficient. The infinite heat control in this portable electric burner allows the user to set the exact temperature that they are looking to achieve. In the event of spills, the stainless steel housing makes this double range easy to clean. This item is perfect for use in catering applications where an open flame is not allowed.

Q: Where is this double burner made?

A: Per Cadco this DKR-S2 Cadco Portable Electric Burner Double Range is made in Germany.

Q: I am looking for a double electric burner for a small kitchenette. I'm wondering if your Cadco Part Number: DKR-S2 would be appropriate for cooking a two pot meal. I have noticed that some cheaper two burner stove tops say that they are more for reheating (low wattage) rather than for cooking.

A: Per Cadco the DKR-S2 Double Range will efficiently boil of to 6 qts. of water so unless you are cooking over 6 qt. per side there should be no issues with using this high wattage unit for cooking.

Q: Can aluminum catered trays be put on this unit. Will it burn the tray?

A: According to the manufacturer this is not recommended the units are made for cooking pots.
