  • How many eggs can you poach at one time. Does it signal when done?
  • You choose how you want your eggs, then it lets you know when they are done. You can poach 3 eggs, or hard boil 7 eggs at a time. This egg cooker has dry boil protection as well.

  • I am confused as to how to cook hard-boiled eggs. I lost the instructions. How much water do I use for 7 eggs? Do I turn the item on first and wait for a buzz before I put the eggs in? Do I use the numerical timer or just the H? Do I have to use an additional timer or does it automatically turn off when the eggs are cooked? Water does leak out onto the counter and it is dangerous to lift the lid due to steam pouring out. Please help. Thank you.

    What is the black material that makes up the product?
  • This is BPA free. The egg baskets are food-grade polypropolene, so that may be what you are referring to?

  • Can you only poach 3 eggs at a time? How does this compare to the Cuisinart?
  • Yes, you can only poach 3 eggs at a time in the 810 Chef's Choice Egg Cooker, though you can hard boil 7. The Cuisinart allows you to hard boil 10, poach 4, by comparison.

  • What temperature water do you put into the egg cooker? I want soft cooked eggs and they come out medium on the soft setting. I put warm water in so the cooker will heat up easier.
  • Start with cold water, fill just below the water line, set to soft, and see if that helps. If that doesn't work, call the manufacturer at 1-800-342-3255.
