A: The Heart Waffler 840 makes a traditional waffle, not the thicker Belgium Waffle like the 840B.

I loved this waffle iron, but stupidly ruined the non-stick finish after trying to put fresh blueberries on top of the batter before closing the lid. They burned on, and nothing I could do would keep the waffles from sticking after that. I'll gladly buy another.
BTW: to the person that posted the negative comment, that 3rd party I believe you're talking about recommended the old fashioned style, NOT the Belgian style.

I could not achieve an evenly browned waffle, even with the highest setting for color. Though recommended by a trusted third party, I would not purchase this product again.

Better than the upscale brands -
I love this wafflemaker. Even the first one comes out perfect. There's no guessing when the waffle is done and after you set the controls to your liking you'll be amazed how easy it is. My husband wanted a fancy All Clad but now he is a convert!
