Q: Does the teakettle keep the water hot after boiling?
A: This kettle has an auto-shut off immediately after boiling. If you want one that will keep it hot longer, then look at the Chef's Choice Kettle # 688 model, as it's a "Smart Kettle", which is where you set it for whatever temperature you want, and keep it that way for 40 minutes.

 electric tea kettle -
I got this as a gift last year and use it daily, actually several times a day. It is wonderful and really does heat water faster than the stove or microwave. Keeps it warm for a long time too. I am getting them for christmas presents for all my kids and relatives, they will love it too.
