Generous 1.75-quart capacity water kettle with an exterior water gauge for easy measuring. The Tea Kettle's powerful 1500 watt heating element is hidden beneath the stainless floor of the unit, so it's never in contact with water, eliminating build-up of mineral deposits on it and allowing for easy clean-up. The revolutionary cordless design allows the Chefs Choice water kettle to be lifted from its base for convenient filling and serving. Handsomely constructed of high-quality brushed stainless steel, the kettle ensures years of service. The automatic shut-off, double boil-dry safety shut-off and lid-lock features guarantee safe use UL listed. One year warranty.

electric tea kettle - I got this as a gift last year and use it daily, actually several times a day. It is wonderful and really does heat water faster than the stove or microwave. Keeps it warm for a long time too. I am getting them for christmas presents for all my kids and relatives, they will love it too.
