This versatile, rugged, budget-friendly Chefs Choice meat slicer features a multi-purpose 7-inch stainless steel blade, tilted food carriage and structural components of cast aluminum and steel. The powerful, cool running, high torque motor and reliable, smooth gear drive operation help you slice with ease and confidence. This Chef's Choice Meat Slicer has other professional features include precision thickness control from deli-thin to 1" thick, easy-clean cantilever design, tilted, large capacity food carriage and a button to lock the food carriage when not in use. Q: Does this unit have a blade sharpener and how long can you run the unit?
A: The Chefs Choice Food Slicer International Model 610 does not include a blade sharpener. As for how long you can run the unit, the manufacturer recommends that the unit be shut off and allowed to cool at least every 5-10 minutes. However, keep in mind that the time would really depend on what you are slicing.

Used my new 610 slicer for the first time since I purchased it from you about a month ago. We made homemade Italian sliced beef and used this slicer to cut it up. It did a great job, and was easy to clean. It was able to slice the beef very thin with the serrated blade that comes with it. Great job for the price.

Hello! Just got this Chefs choice model 610 Meat Slicer and I am very pleased. I shopped a lot & made the choice. Ordered Monday arrived Friday. Wiped it down after I got it out of the box then started slicing everything I could find in the fridge. Brisket is easy to slice professionally, cheeses, even veggies so thin they are see-through! This meat slicer will cover all your needs for in-home entertainment. With heavy meats like brisket just slow down a bit and let the blade do the work. Very nice! My wife is also very pleased.

Chefs Choice 610 -
I bought this meat slicer to slice jerky meat. Mostly frozen meat works very well. I have learned to rotate the slab I'm cutting to help do away with the "tail" that happens at the slicer bottom. I also bought the non-serrated blade that work great for cooled roasts and London Broil. It will cut just about paper thin. French dip sandwiches have been consumed. YUMMY. The Chefs choice slicer is easy to clean. I'm very happy with the purchase. The price was affordable and well worth what I got. The scale is handy also. The next time I'm in the market for a kitchen gadget, I'll be looking here.

My 610 Chef's Choice Slicer -
Very happy with it! Living in the south now, I have to import some of my favorite northern cuisine down here, and the 610 helps me make quick work of a large roll of Taylor's Ham. Nice and thinly sliced is how we like it, and the 610 meat slicer helps make quick work of a 10 pound roll, which we then freeze. Also, this Chef's Choice meat slicer does great in the Cold Cuts area! I can now buy whole rolls of our favorite lunch meat, slice and freeze it for future use! It's AWESOME, easy to clean, and is not so bulky that it can't be stored! I am a very satisfied and happy customer!

Chefs Choice 610 -
Have used the Chef's Choice Meat Slicer to slice large beef roasts for steak sandwiches and it works much better than I expected it to. I would recommend it to anyone that wanted a great product. I also ordered the optional blade. It is the one that I used, as my butcher told me to use a non-serrated blade and it worked great.
