A: This model has a filter basket and so it doesn't need a paper filter.

Q: How do I open the top to the pot to clean inside?
A: The lid on the carafe will raise up so that you may clean inside the carafe.

A: The Cuisinart 4 Cup Coffee Maker shuts off after 60 minutes. If you still need the coffee warmed after this time you may turn the maker back on.

Q: Can you use coffee instead of the pods with this Cuisinart 4 cup coffee maker?
A: This is not a pod coffee maker. This Cuisinart unit uses regular coffee. The coffee pouches that are included as a free gift (as of 7/19/11) are not regular pods they are coffee pouches, and I am guessing this was what was confusing. You can definitely use regular coffee in this coffee maker, and do not have to use coffee pouches.

Q: Regarding the WCM 04B, 4 cup coffeemaker, where can I buy a permanent filter...either gold, or some sort of durable plastic or fabric?
