Q: I purchased the Cuisinart WCM11S coffee maker from you and ordered Lavazza coffee pods from another vendor. I just tried them today, and the coffee came out barely brown (weak). Are there different size/types of the 1-cup pods, or did I get a lemon coffee maker? I had used this system at a Hilton hotel before and it was fine. It seems like the coffee pods at the Hilton were a little bigger, though. ANy thoughts on what I may be doing wrong? Thank you, Michael Payne
A: Your question sparked my curiosity, as I was having the same issue with my personal Cuisinart pod coffee maker that I have at home. I have the 1 cup Cuisinart coffee maker version, but the same thing as the 2 cup in function, except for capacity. After work I brought home some of the Cuisinart coffee pods, and began testing. Here is what I found. I weighed, to the grams, a Melitta coffee pod, and a Cuisinart coffee pod. Melitta was 7 grams, and the Cuisinart was 8 grams. The coffee area was the same size, but Cuisinart had more paper on the edge, stopping water from flowing around it, and forcing the water to go THROUGH it. I made a cup of coffee in my coffee maker with the Cuisinart coffee pod, and it was black as could be, and not watery at all. I then made a cup with the Melitta coffee pod, and stuffed it down really snug into the filter basket, so that the water couldn't go around the pod, and also got a cup of really black cofffee. If it was any weaker, I couldn't really tell. Both were really strong. I usually just set the pod in the filter basket, and get weak, tea-looking coffee. So, my findings are that if you use the Cuisinart pods, it's easier to get a good cup, more fool-proof, but you can get a good cup with other coffee pods, you just have to push them down in the filter basket of your coffee maker really snugly to get a strong brew. Otherwise, you'll end up with tea looking coffee that probably wouldn't phase a child. I hope that helps!

Q: Can you ship to British Columbia, Canada? The form only shows US States, and rejects my order when I leave that slot blank.
Thanks
A: We apologize for the inconvenience. However, we do not ship outside the United States.
