    • Any coffee makers that brew one decaf cup of coffee and one reg at same time
    • Yes, The Cuisinart Black with Stainless Steel 2 Cup Coffee Maker
can brew two different types of coffee at the same time. It uses
"coffee pods" to brew each cup. You could look at a sample of those at

    • Does it taste like good espresso as I am thinking about purchasing for home use?
    • The WCM11 is a coffee maker not an espresso maker. It is approved for home or commercial use and is a good choice if you want a unit that will make individual servings.

    • I purchased the Cuisinart WCM11S coffee maker from you and ordered Lavazza coffee pods from another vendor. I just tried them today, and the coffee came out barely brown (weak). Are there different size/types of the 1-cup pods, or did I get a lemon coffee maker? I had used this system at a Hilton hotel before and it was fine. It seems like the coffee pods at the Hilton were a little bigger, though. ANy thoughts on what I may be doing wrong? Thank you, Michael Payne
    • Your question sparked my curiosity, as I was having the same issue with my personal Cuisinart pod coffee maker that I have at home. I have the 1 cup Cuisinart coffee maker version, but the same thing as the 2 cup in function, except for capacity. After work I brought home some of the Cuisinart coffee pods, and began testing. Here is what I found. I weighed, to the grams, a Melitta coffee pod, and a Cuisinart coffee pod. Melitta was 7 grams, and the Cuisinart was 8 grams. The coffee area was the same size, but Cuisinart had more paper on the edge, stopping water from flowing around it, and forcing the water to go THROUGH it. I made a cup of coffee in my coffee maker with the Cuisinart coffee pod, and it was black as could be, and not watery at all. I then made a cup with the Melitta coffee pod, and stuffed it down really snug into the filter basket, so that the water couldn't go around the pod, and also got a cup of really black cofffee. If it was any weaker, I couldn't really tell. Both were really strong. I usually just set the pod in the filter basket, and get weak, tea-looking coffee. So, my findings are that if you use the Cuisinart pods, it's easier to get a good cup, more fool-proof, but you can get a good cup with other coffee pods, you just have to push them down in the filter basket of your coffee maker really snugly to get a strong brew. Otherwise, you'll end up with tea looking coffee that probably wouldn't phase a child. I hope that helps!

    • Can you get standard coffee pods at a regular grocery store?
    • You may purchase the Cuisinart Brand Coffee Pods directly from our website in regular and decaffeinated. However, coffee pods for your Cuisinart Coffee Maker are available at your local grocer. Most grocers carry a few different brands and varieties. The coffee pods are usually located in the aisle with the other coffee products.

    • Can you use coffee instead of the pods with this Cuisinart 2 cup coffee maker?
    • This Cuisinart coffee maker can only be used with coffee pods. We have the Cuisinart coffee pods available in the related items above, or you can get coffee pods at most grocery stores.

    • Is there a difference in price between ordering the pods from the website, or the store? And how much are they going for?
    • Generally speaking it is less expensive to buy on line but without a particular store to compare to I cannot accurately answer this question. We do price matching however so in the event that you do find it for less we will match their final price up to a week after the sale.

Weak coffee Review by

This brewer is junk! They use pods but it is a drip machine and no pressure. You would need to use at least
2 pods to get 1 cup of decent coffee

Editor's Note: You have to push the pod into the holder very firmly, as we had this same issue when we tested the Cuisinart single cup coffee makers. After we pushed the pods in deeper, the water quit going around the pod, and started to go through the coffee pod. You might want to try this, as it worked for us. (Posted on 3/18/13)

This Cuisinart coffee maker is lightweight and super easy to use. No excess fuss , bells or whistles. That's why I like it actually. It just makes coffee. I tried this Cuisinart 1 cup coffee maker in a hotel then bought my own. Now am getting one for my elderly mother. The only negative would be the right side cup doesn't get as full as the left. No big thing for me. (Posted on 7/19/10)
