A: Yes, it is compatible with a glass stovetop.The manufacturer's site lists this Cuisinarts cookware as being compatible with halogen, glass/ceramic, glass, and ceramic.

Q: I am curious about how nonstick it is (The stainless steel). Am I going to have to scrub it every time I fry something in the frying pans?
A: The Cuisinart Chef's Classic Cookware Set (77-17) is stainless steel. It does not have a non-stick coating. Stainless steel cookware does require an adjustment period to become accustomed to cooking with stainless steel. However, if the cookware is seasoned correctly it does reduce the amount of sticking.

Bought this Cuisinart Cookware set over 2 years ago and I love it! No nasty Teflon to flake off and works in the oven and on the stove. Yes, you have to scrub it, but cooks well and evenly. Should last a very long time!
