This Grind & Brew Thermal™ 12 Cup Coffee Maker by Cuisinart is a top of the line machine with a stainless steel thermal carafe. The DGB-900BC coffee maker is a 12 cup model with every key feature you could ever need in a coffee maker. A great cup of coffee has to start with the beans, this machine automatically processes them to the perfect consistency and quantity using the burr grinder with the sealed hopper.
Cuisinart has put in the time and quality needed to make sure the coffee is great for the user. Every pot of coffee you brew can be one of three different strength settings; strong, medium, or mild. Perfect to match your tastes or different roasts of coffee bean. The Thermal Grind & Brew™ has been set to grind beans to medium coarseness which is ideal for drip style coffee makers. All you need to do is choose strength and number of cups you are making, the Grind & Brew™ Coffee maker will take care of the rest. As with all of Cuisinart's best coffee makers this unit comes with both a charcoal water filter and gold cone coffee filter. Combining these two filters ensures that this machine creates a consistent flavorful coffee, up to 12 cups every time.

 Cuisinart Thermal Grind & Brew Coffee Maker -
This is a great product that earns five stars. It consistently makes a GREAT cup of coffee every time.

 Beware -
I've had this unit for 18 months. The grinder started jamming after a few months, but periodic cleaning usually fixed the problem for several more uses.
Now, everyday I'm having to take this unit apart. Today it took at least five times to get enough grinds out before I could brew a decent cup o joe! For what these things cost I expect much better. The hopper door has begun opening on its own too, but at least this version shuts down so you don't wake up to a bunch of spilled coffee all over the counter with grounds spewed all over too.
When this unit works it's great. But it doesn't take long before all the work starts to clean it all the time. I love the concept of grinding and brewing all in one, but may have to go back to using a separate grinder. But that was a pain too. May try the newer Breville grind n brew, but it's very expensive and I haven't seen any reviews. If the design is the same, it'll be a bust too!
