Cuisinart Coffee Maker 12 Cup Programmable - |
May 28, 2008
|
I purc. this coffee maker in Oct. 2007. I like most of the features, except
the interior where the hot coffee is. The interior bottom is peeling and I
don't think (for this price) it is healthy. No, I wouldln't buy this product
again. CUISINART SHOULD DEFINITELY IMPROVE THE INTERIOR OR
TAKE COFFEE MAKER OFF THE MARKET.

REPAIR ISSUES - |
November 29, 2009

My wife just emptied the hot coffee container and we too have black bits. Not been used every day but we have owned it for a little over two yrs. My wife's cousin has one (needed to have timer repaired after only one year) which is where we originally saw this machine. Ours just stopped working (won't turn on and brew) and do you think it's easy to find a Cuisinart repair place in Kingston On.? Nope!! Now I feel bad for telling so many people how much of a marvelous product this is! Too pricey! Just got a programmable Sunbeam for $15 on Sale. Easier to throw away $15. as compared to $150.

TOO BAD - |
November 12, 2009
|
We have had two of this model. The first one stopped working after less than six months; the warranty was honored and they sent us another one. Now, about six months later, the second one has stopped working. We have not had the "peeling" problem that others have reported; maybe we have not been able to keep one working long enough for that to happen. No, we do not abuse it. We make, on average, about two pots a day. Not having a carafe was such a great idea! Too bad!

I like everything about this coffee maker. However, it definitely needs a stainless steel interior to hold the hot coffee. I would feel much better about this healthwise.

Wake Up and Smell the Coffee!!! - |

My mother and I were shopping for a coffee maker and came across this one. Oh my goodness, what a diamond we found in the coal mine!! We were so tired of the drippy old coffee pots from our previous purchases and began looking for an alternative. We found this Cuisinart Coffee Maker. After the purchase, we got in the car and grinned at each other, the crossed our fingers and headed home. We were very impressed with the ease of filling the coffee maker. We turned it on and waited. The coffee smelled wonderful and we waited impatiently for the first cup of coffee.....Thank you Cuisinart for creating such a superb coffee machine!!!!
Top of the mornin' to ya.

Problem with Peeling inside! - |
February 14, 2009
|
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this coffee maker so it pains me to have to write this review...I have had it since Christmas '07 and it is now Feb. '09 but just this week large chunks of black stuff started coming out of tank that stores the hot coffee....no matter how much I rinse, it just keeps coming. It must be coming from a hard to reach area in the holding tank. I love this so much that I would love to go buy a new one even, BUT I won't cause I can't see this NOT happening again. Cuisinart should really fix the interior material to withstand the hot coffee better without losing it's integrity....I am so sad to say that I will have to find a replacement.

Love the concept- peeling is scary! - |

I was so excited to get this coffee maker. The idea of not having an additional container to clean up was very appealing. However, when the inside began to peel continuously, I had to stop using it. I am not sure how much we ingested, but I hope that the material is not a cancer causing substance.
