Recently, the old coffee grinder I purchased, well used, at a garage sale in college over 25 years ago finally gave up the ghost. I purchased this grinder as the replacement. I am very disappointed in the quality of grind. In order to get a decent drip grind takes forever and in order to get most of the coffee down to a drip grind, you end up having to pulverize a significant portion down to a powder, finer than an espresso grind. At any grind, the results are very uneven. Probably one of the least effective grinders I've used. I only bought it because I thought a cuisinart was probably going to be at least a decent quality. Sadly mistaken. This is definitely t a case of form over function.
