This Grind and Brew 12 Cup Coffee Maker by Cuisinart is their top of the line machine with a glass carafe. Every feature on this machine speaks quality, from the built in burr grinder to the non-stick warming plate. This coffee maker is a 12 cup model with every key feature you could ever need in a coffee maker. A great cup of coffee has to start with the beans, this machine automatically processes them to the perfect consistency and quantity using the burr grinder. The burr grinder is supplied by a sealed coffee hopper that holds 8oz of beans. Every pot of coffee you brew can be one of three different strength settings; strong, medium, or mild to match your tastes or a different roast of coffee bean. The Burr Grind & Brew has been set to grind beans to medium coarseness which is ideal for drip style coffee makers. All you need to do is choose strength and number of cups you are making, the Grind & Brew Coffee maker will take care of the rest. As with all of Cuisinart's best coffee makers this unit comes with both a charcoal water filter and gold cone coffee filter. Combining these two filters ensures that this machine creates a consistent flavorful coffee, up to 12 cups every time. Cuisinart has put in the time and quality needed to make sure the coffee is great for the user every brew.

More than I bargained for! - I thought the concept of a grinder and coffee maker was a great idea, as it saves space and less trouble than 2 devices. Well, if I could trade this back in for one of each I would do it today. The coffee maker makes great coffee and the grinder works just fine! However, trying to clean and keep the grinder chute working (coffee going from the grinder into the coffee holder) is a constant challenge. I do not recommend combining the two into one. I have gone to using my old coffee grinder and just using the coffee maker so I don't have to try and keep the coffee chute clean.

Love This Coffee Maker - This is the 2nd Cuisinart Grind & Brew Programmable Coffee maker I have. I tried the one with the thermal pot and hated it. Coffee didn't stay hot and pot was very heavy . Also you needed to put hot water in it first, so how could I set the pot up the night before? This one is a dream and I love the glass carafe better.
