Q: How does the thermal overload protection work on this machine? Why do I need it? I'm not sure I like the idea of my mixer shutting down on me.
A: The thermal overload protection works by monitoring the machines
internal temperature and load. When the load or temperature exceeds the
set parameter the machine will automatically shut down. You will be
able to reset the machine and run it again, but if you are having to
reset the machine multiple times with the same recipe you need to
reduce size, mixing time or get a larger mixer. Please see the mixing
capacity guide PDF by Globe for the approved mixing amounts for the SP5 stand
mixer.
