Q: Does the Globe GS30 scale weigh in grams or just oz.?

A: The Globe GS30 scale only weighs in lbs/oz.

Q: Is there any way to disable the automatic shutoff? Can you tare it once during the day and have it be tared for that same object all day?

A: The unit price and tare weight are stored until new values are keyed in. So, if you start out the day with a particular tare weight it will stay programmed in unless you change it. The automatic shutoff cannot be disabled. However, per Globe the automatic shutoff is only when the unit is being used on battery power. If the unit is plugged into the wall using the AC adaptor it does not shut off.
