This Silver Metallic KitchenAid Artisan Mixer has a 325-watt motor, 5 quart bowl with ergonomic handle, pouring shield and a tilt-back mixer head design that provides easy access to bowl and beaters.
Selecting the Right Shade:
In the Kitchenaid Artisan Mixer series, there are 3 different shades of grey/silver available, which can be confusing to the customer. The Kitchenaid Artisan Silver Metallic (KSM150PSSM) has a textured and slightly matte finish. The Metallic Chrome (KSM150PSMC) has a high gloss finish with a lighter metallic flake. The Contour Silver (KSM150PSCU) has a high gloss finish with a slightly darker flake than the Metallic Chrome.

 I Use the Kitchenaid Artisan Almost Daily -
After literally years of thinking about it, I finally bought a Kitchenaid stand mixer. I got the silver metallic 5-qt bowl Artisan model. The only thing I'd do differently, if I had to do it again, is I would have gone ahead and spent the money to get one of the Kitchen Aid professional models. However, the Artisan model is certainly great for what I need. I've been taking lots of cooking classes lately, and I use the mixer almost daily. It's great for breads, cookie doughs, cakes, etc. Love it, and now I wonder why I waited so long.

 Makes Baking SO Easy! -
This Artisan 5 quart mixer does all the heavy lifting when it comes to stirring batter and dough. The silver color has a retro look and fits perfectly into my kitchen. The only [small] con I can come up with is you need to tilt the head up to add ingredients, and can't add them while the head is down and the stand mixer is running. Otherwise, it's a great product at a great price.

Outstanding Value -
I have used a Kitchenaid stand mixer for years and recently bought the Artisan series model when a chef friend suggested it. The silver metallic color is perfect. It does a better job at creaming butter and whipping meringue. I have made tons of bread and pizza dough because it so easy to assemble and clean up. I wish I had not waited so long to purchase it.

Great Stand Mixer For a Great Price -
I already knew the Kitchenaid Artisan Mixer was a good buy; I've seen them in use before my purchase and all the reviews about how easy they are to use and how much better your mix comes out. What makes me write this review is how GREAT Everything Kitchens was in getting me that mixer. $50 less than the cheapest one I could find, PLUS a rebate, PLUS it was delivered within DAYS of my purchase (3-4). Very well worth it.

Fantastic Mixer -
I bought the Silver Metallic Kitchenaid Artisan Mixer after discovering that there are no plastic pieces used in its construction, unlike some other stand mixers. Artisan Metallic Mixer -
This is my second kitchenaid mixer. My original mixer had the lift type bowl which I did not like, this time I opted for the artisan model and I'm very happy with it. The mixing ability seems as strong as my previous one. I just don't have to contend with the bowl having to be lifted and lowered each time I used it.
