The Kitchen Aid Flat Beater is for use with 6 Quart Stand Mixers and the Professional 5 Plus Series. Kitchenaid replacement products are the original products direct from Kitchen Aid. A 6 quart flat beater does the trick no matter what job you throw its way. This Flat Beater attachment is a replacement part for you Professional 600, 6 quart Mixer, or 5 quart Bowl Lift Mixer. Due to the burnished finish, you must dry this burnished flat beater immediately after washing to avoid discoloration. If you do not want to do this, then you will need to buy part # KN256CBT Kitchenaid flat beater, which is coated, so will not respond to water like this.

- What is the style number for the Kitchen Aid Professional series 5 plus? I need the flat beater, preferably coated.
- The KitchenAid mixer KitchenAid Professional 5 Plus Series is model KV25GOX. The flat beater that was made to fit the KV25G is the Kitchenaid Flat Beater for 5 & 6 Quart Bowl Lift Mixers Model(s): KN256CBT.

- Response to KitchenAid KN256BBT is very negative but may be my own fault. I can't use it, I thought it would fit my KSM150 model, but alas, it is for larger mixers.
- The correct flat beater for the KSM150 mixer is part # K5THCB. I apologize for the inconvenience and feel free to contact us regarding returning the incorrect flat beater.

- I'm looking for a flat beater to fit my Kitchen Aid Mixer model KSM90WH. It seems that they don't make any more, what do you suggest?
- The Kitchen Aid Flat Beater for mixer model KSM90WH is the K45B. You can find this item on our site by searching for model # K45B with the search feature. Part # KN256BBT will not fit the KSM90WH mixer.

- The K5THB is the model that fits the 5 quart Artisan mixers (tilt-head).

I was crushed - I'd read the instructions wrong with my brand new KitchenAid Stand Mixer and washed my pretty, shiny burnished flat beater in the dishwasher. Needless to say, it wasn't too pretty anymore. I ordered another one from Everything Kitchens (which is also where I got my stand mixer), and I was happy once again! This flat beater is my work horse - with the exception of my dough hook, the flat beater does everything! (Posted on 8/20/11)

The beater turned to a horrible finish. Black residue was all over our hands from the beater and dough hook. Apparently they were not meant for the dishwasher which seems not to make sense since kitchen aid makes white ones which can go in the dishwasher. Why not have them all alike. The whip is just fine so it was assumed that the beaters would remain shiny and not discolor so badly. (Posted on 4/22/10)
