Q: Response to KitchenAid KN256BBT is very negative but may be my own fault. I can't use it, I thought it would fit my KSM150 model, but alas, it is for larger mixers.

Love this flat beater - I was crushed - I'd read the instructions wrong with my brand new KitchenAid Stand Mixer and washed my pretty, shiny burnished flat beater in the dishwasher. Needless to say, it wasn't too pretty anymore. I ordered another one from Everything Kitchens (which is also where I got my stand mixer), and I was happy once again! This flat beater is my work horse - with the exception of my dough hook, the flat beater does everything!

Burnished Flat Beater - The beater turned to a horrible finish. Black residue was all over our hands from the beater and dough hook. Apparently they were not meant for the dishwasher which seems not to make sense since kitchen aid makes white ones which can go in the dishwasher. Why not have them all alike. The whip is just fine so it was assumed that the beaters would remain shiny and not discolor so badly.
