Q: Can the pasta roller be used just to roll dough and then the rolled dough be layed on the countertop to cut out cookie shapes by hand?
A: The pasta roller is only intended for pasta dough. Cookie dough would be too sticky.

Q: Is this one unit that rolls and cuts fettuccine and spaghetti sizes or is it three attachments?
A: The Kitchen Aid Model KPRA is actually 3 separate items. It contains the pasta sheet roller, the spaghetti cutter and the fettuccine cutter.

Q: Will this attachment work on egg noodles?
A: Yes, it will. You can find egg noodle recipes on page 9 of the manual at http://www.everythingkitchens.com/PDFfiles/KPRA.pdf as well. I hope this helps!

Q: Will the pasta maker fit any KitchenAid mixer?
A: Yes, the attachments to the front of the KitchenAid mixers are designed to fit all KitchenAid mixers.

Q: Is the attachment metal or plastic?
A: I had one of our warehouse employees look at one of these, and they reported back that the KPRA Kitchenaid Pasta attachments appears to be all metal construction. They could not see any plastic on inspection.

the fettuccini cutter doesn't cut all the way through on the edges, but other than that I like this set. ..though I have not tried the spaghetti cutter yet.

"Bought a Kitchen Aid Pasta roller and cutter, along with a Kitchen Aid pasta drying rack for my daughter for her birthday. What a hit!! She LOVES it!!! She is always making pasta by hand, this has helped in cutting down time for her busy family.
Was very impressed with the quality of the product, customer service and how quickly it arrived. Ordered on 12/23/11, it was here on 12/30/11, would have been here quicker, but there was a problem with my credit card. Customer service emailed me right away, problem solve.
Needless to say we have had several pasta dishes...yummy! Would definitely buy from Everything Kitchens again, will pass on your site to friends and family. THANK YOU!!!!"

Love it -
The pasta maker/cutter does a great job with our mixer. We made spinach fettucine and although we had to pull apart some of the strings after it was cut (spinach is one of the hardest to cut), it was wonderful. Love it!
