Customer Questions:

Q: Does Kitchen Aid make a food processor attachment? If not which attachment would I buy to do food processing like a normal food processor would be used for?
A: Kitchenaid does not have a standard food processing attachment. However, between the three attachments in this pack, you can do most things that you would do with a food processor. This would be your closest option.

Q: I received the food grinder as a gift. How do I use it to make salsa? Which blade do I use?
A: According to the recipe in the owner manual- use coarse grinding plate. There is a great recipe in the manual. I attached a link for you. http://www.everythingkitchens.com/PDFfiles/FPPA.pdf

Q: I have a mixer attachment. The metal part that locks into the mixer got caught in my garbage disposal is there any way it could purchase a new one!!!
A: Please contact Kitchen Aid Customer Service directly at 800-541-6390 to inquire about parts availability.

Q: i have just recieved the grinder attachment some reviews say it is not very good and a few are excellent. i guess i am asking if it is logical after grinding the meat for sausage to remove the blade and cuter disc before stuffing the sausage into the casing or if that is not necessary.
A: I contacted Kitchenaid, and their rep said "We would recommend removing the blade and disc before using the sausage [stuffer]. "

Q: I need to grate a lot of mozzarella for pizza. Which attachment should I buy?
A: The RVSA is the Kitchen Aid mixer attachment that would be best suited for grating cheeses.

Q: Is this the attachments that I need to make cole slaw? Will these shred cabbage and carrots?
A: Yes, the RVSA-Slicer/Shredder in this attachment pack will shred cabbage and carrots for coleslaw.

Q: I want to grate chocolate. What attachment is best?
A: I would personally use the RVSA slicer/shredder and use the fine shredding cone.

Kitchenaid Attachments - I just used the Kitchenaid food grinder for the first time to make salsa....LOVE IT. Kitchenaid attachments are very durable with easy clean up. Also very happy with purchasing from this site. Great communication and very fast shipping. Will buy from again!

Value Pack Has Great Variety Of Accessories - I bought this KitchenAid multipurpose accessory pack at least a decade ago, and I think I paid more than the low Everything Kitchens price back when the value of the money wasn't lost to inflation, and I don't think I got free shipping either. This is a great value on a lot of accessories that will greatly expand the utility of your KitchenAid mixer. The food grinder is one tough piece of heavy duty equipment that's built to last and last. It's simple and elegant in its design. My favorite use for it is to grind tomatoes, peppers, onions, garlic and spices to quickly make fresh salsa. The shredder cones on the food processor work great for most cheeses and most vegetables. Don't try to shred fibrous vegetables like celery. The shredding cone can quickly process a bumper crop of zucchini to freeze, to make zucchini bread or soup at a later date. The slicer cones work well and stayed sharp (which surprised me) but some vegetables can flip sideways in the chute and the last sliver can slide in between the slicer cone and the outer housing, but something similar is possible with most food processors I've used. I like the KitchenAid food processor attachment better than using my wife's Cuisinart stand alone food processor because I can process as much as I want without filling up a catch bowl, and cleanup is much faster and easier. I use the fruit and vegetable strainer to make applesauce, apple butter, strained squash and tomato sauce, and I'm amazed at how efficiently it separates the applesauce from the quartered and steamed apples from the stems, seeds and cores. This value pack greatly increases the utility of your powerful KitchenAid mixer, and the attachments require much less storage space and cost much less than the stand alone equivalent appliances.

Attachments - You might think these Kitchen Aid attachments look flimsy. Well there not. These are very durable. I own this Kitchen Aid attachment pack. They work very well - a lot better than they look like they would.

Amazingly durable - I bought this attachment pack at least two decades ago and have never once had a problem with it. I use the food grinder often to make my own ground beef with a higher grade of meat than commercial ground beef and so little fat that I often have to add a little water when cooking it. The fruit and vegetable strainer is terrific for prepping tomatoes for spaghetti sauce, and the shredder is without peer when it comes to prepping apples for applesauce during canning season. As a cook who loves to can organic fruit and cook with organic produce, this attachment pack is a must-have in my kitchen. And it lasts for decades, which is more than I can say about any appliance in my kitchen except my 25 year old KitchenAid bowl-lift mixer. Not only do I recommend this attachment combination, I gave it to my sister along with a KitchenAid bowl-lift mixer as a thank you gift for flying out and staying with for five weeks to help me as I recovered from a kidney transplant.
