Love this coffee maker and I have had Melitta, Cuisinart and Mr. Coffee, trying to replace my Melitta (that caught on fire!). Great coffee, easy cleanup, lovely to look at! I did buy the extended warrenty, just in case, after all of my troubles with the others. Pam
