Q: I've had Krups products in the past and have been extremely pleased w/the coffeemakers. I've had the round ball of a decanter too. My latest Krups purchase (which I returned) was the thermal current coffeemaker out on the market which I purchased at Macy's. (the one where the lid opens slowly). I returned it because it wasn't brewing hot enough. I replaced it w/a Bunn Phase Brew since we have a Bunn machine at the office and it really brews the coffee hot. My question to you is how hot does this brew and I assume it has a warming plate due to it not being a thermal carafe. Also cay this be purchased in a store or does it need to be purchased on-line?

A: Krups does not offer a brew temperature on their units unfortunately. However I can say from experience and many years of customer feedback that the Bunn coffee makers are your best bet if you want a hot cup of coffee. They lack the cosmetics that some of the other machines have and do not have a lot of the fancy features but they are excellent at doing their job, making a wonderful pot of hot coffee. Yes, the Krups KM7000 does have a warming plate since it comes with a glass carafe. We only have one location, Springfield Missouri, but we ship most of our items for free anywhere in the contiguous USA.

Krups Grind & Brew - My coffee pot went out- the grinder after 1 year. That is the picture of the one with the clear glass. Then the whole machine quite working after another 3 months. At-least I was able to make reg coffee for awhile. I looked on-line and other people have had this same problem. I called Krups but if it is a year later they wont do anything. I also read on-line some people's machine went out after only 3 months, then they had if fixed under warranty & it happened again. I would not recommend this coffee pot. It is very pretty though and made great tasting coffee while the year it worked.

TICKLED PINK! - Love this coffee maker and I have had Melitta, Cuisinart and Mr. Coffee, trying to replace my Melitta (that caught on fire!). Great coffee, easy cleanup, lovely to look at! I did buy the extended warranty, just in case, after all of my troubles with the others. Pam
