About Krups:

Makes great coffee, but - I've done my research on coffee makers because I really enjoy my coffee. Coffee is to be brewed between 195-205 degrees. I've called Kitchenaid, Mr. Coffee, Cuisinart, and Krups to find out their brewing temperature. Krups is the only one that brews their coffee at a hot enough temperature. The others lack up to 20 degrees. This coffee maker makes a great pot of coffee. That temp has a lot to do with flavor. Come to find out coffee isn't supposed to taste like muddy water. It has a very crisp taste and I absolutely love it. Now for the "but". This thing is not that pretty, the carafe is pittiful, and the hole to pour the water in is incredibly small. My advice is to buy this coffee maker, pour very slowly, and buy a good pitcher with a spout to pour the water in.

Poor pouring performance - This is my daughter's 12 cup Krups coffee maker. Whenever I am visiting I am very disappointed when it comes to either pouring water into the Krups coffee maker or pouring coffee into a cup. The carafe is not designed to pour without spilling either water or coffee. A big disappointment for a coffee maker that cost almost $100.00.
