A: The unit is 550 watts. The fan is approximately 3-4 inches across in diameter.

Q: The trays look to be metal, are they metal or plastic?

A: The trays on the LEM1009 are made of gray plastic. We do offer dehydrators by Weston and The Sausage Maker that have metal shelves if this is what you are looking for.
