Works well. We like it. - Works really well with the cotton candy sugar, but not perfectly with the hard candy. That being said, we still love the flavors of the hard candy that we've used and it's way more convenient than having to have the flavored sugar on hand. You just don't get as much end product using the hard candy. It's a bit crunchier and not quite so light and airy like when you use the sugar. Overall, I would recommend this machine. We really like it.

Great! - This cotton candy maker works very very well. For candy with sugars I'd recommend crushing it using some kind of blender that seemed to work the best for me but it doesn't say if that's an effective way to do it. We turned all the candies we used into a "powder" like sugar substance and it works amazingly. ONLY hard candies work this way though and they must have sugar. I would recommend only using full candy pieces for the sugarless candies because turning those into a powder didn't work well but for all other hard sugar candies it works remarkably well. You can also just put the full candy itself inside but I preferred crushing them in a blender first. It also made the cotton fluffier if it was crushed into a powder like substance.
