Q: Does a recipe book come with the juicer? I purchased omega vert 350 and there was no book.

Q: Can this juicer handle wheat grass and similar?
A: This can do wheatgrass, but the Omega 8003, 8005, or 8006 will be better for leafy greens. This OMVRT350 can do leafy greens, but is better at fruit than the 8000 series listed above.

Q: Whenever I juice kale or spinach or beet greens, the fiber plugs the outlet. I've tried steaming them first and even blending them first....I still have the same problem. Any suggestions??
A: I called the manufacturer, and they said to make sure that the yellow plug is pushed in during juicing at all times, then pull it out to clean it. Do not steam the greens, or chop them really tiny. Keep them as whole as possible. Roll them as tight as you can before juicing. This should help. If the pulp gets too thick while juicing, you can run a little water through there as well to help loosen it up.

Q: I have an Omega 350 vert that I use almost daily. Can I get a heavy duty crusher/strainer basket for it? The original one in the juicer is starting to develope cracks.
I'd prefer to not buy a whole new juicer when I only need one part.
If not, can I order new standard basket (fine strainer) ?
A: This will be covered under warranty, as there is a 10 year warranty on this juicer, and they haven't been making these for 10 years yet, so you are in luck. Q: Is the Omega Low Speed Vert Juicer good for commercial restaurant use?
A: The Omega Juicer Low Speed Vert is not NSF certified and is not recommended for commercial use. If you are looking for a commercial juicer then you may want to check our commercial juicer product line; one similar product would be the Omega BMJ390.

Q: Where does the pulp of the fruit and vegetables go?
A: The Omega Vert 350 is a pulp ejection style juicer allowing for continuous juicing. This juicer automatically ejects pulp into a pulp container of your choice. The pulp container is not included. This style of juicer produces a full-bodied, pulpier juice than most juicers.

Q: Does this juicer have the newer hinged pulp extractor plug and larger pulp extractor port?
A: I called the manufacturer and they said that the OMVRT350 does have the hinged pulp extractor plug and larger pulp extractor port.

Q: should I peel cucumbers before juicing?
A: You do not have to peel the cucumber, and I personally wouldn't, so you can get the vitamins out of the peel. You can juice just about anything with the skin except for things with really thick skin like a pineapple or watermelon.

Q: I will be retiring in the Philippines next year and there power source is 220V. Do you have a masticating juicer that will work there?
A: No, the Omega Low Speed Juicer will not work in a 220V. However, the Champion Juicer Overseas model CH-220V does have a 220V plug.

Q: Is the Vert 350 dishwasher safe?
A: Yes, this is fine for the dishwasher for the top rack, with no heat dry, and, of course, you can't wash the base.

Also. does the Omega make soup and sauces? Does cold press and emulsify mean the same thing? Does recipe/wellnessor natural healing books come with the machine?
A: These are hard to compare, as they are not the same at all. The Vitamix is a blender, that can be used as a make-shift juicer by blending fruits and vegetables with water, and the Vert is a juicer, that squeezes the juice from the produce and removes most of the pulp, though not all of it. The Vitamix leaves all of the pulp in the juice, which is why you need to mix it with water, so that it's not too thick to blend, or too thick to drink. The Vert is a true juicer, and the Vitamix is not. The Omega is not for making soups or sauces. The Vitamix would be a better choice for this. The manual includes a few recipes, but I'd recommend buying our "Juice Alive" book as well. If you search for that in the search box, you'll find it. Thanks!

Q: Will the juice be with or without the feeling of lumps in your mouth?
A: This juice will not produce pulp lumps in your juice, but it will have pulp in it. If you want an Omega juicer that has way less pulp in the juice, then please take a look at the Omega 1000, 4000, or 9000. These will have way less pulp in the juice.
