Wonderful crock Review by Guest
I own the 15l version of this and just produced the most wonderful sauerkraut ever. I used an old formula I grew up with in Germany for the spices and let it ripen for 14 weeks. nothing beats the flavor and taste of home made sauerkraut. Next up will be a couple of smaller sizes and the 20l version...after all, the garden is planted and I have to get ready to have enough crocks to ferment for the winter. (Posted on 5/23/13)

These fermenting pots are great pieces of stoneware, and help immensely with any anaerobic fermentation you might do. I use them for food, but you could use them for the secondary ferment of alcohol, technically, I guess.
At $77 for a complete 5l set with weights, this is a great price!
4 stars, because the opening of the fermenting pot is rather small for the total width of the fermenting crock, and it makes getting the weights in and out a bit of a chore...but you only have to do it once per batch if you transfer your finished ferment to a separate storage vessel like I do.
