Super Automatic Solis Palazzo
The Solis Palazzo is a feature packed super automatic espresso machine. As with all super automatics this unit will grind, tamp the grounds, brew and then empty the used puck into a dreg drawer allowing user cleanup to be quick and easy. Solis has created a unit that is fast, simple and still packed with high quality features. Solis engineered the Palazzo with a Rapid Steam stainless steel boiler system that minimizes the time between steaming and brewing. What this means is that you can go straight from frothing milk to brewing your favorite espresso without down time waiting for the machine to catch up. The bean grinder in the Solis Palazzo espresso machine has a wide variety of settings from coarse to fine, but you can also adjust the amount of coffee in dispense with the additional adjustment knob inside the bean hopper. If you need there is also a bypass doser for pre-ground coffee. The extra large 2 liter water reservoir is easily removed for filling with the integrated handle. On any super automatic espresso machine the larger the reservoir the better because that equivalents to fewer fill ups. The integrated bean hopper holds 1/2 pound (8 ounces) of your favorite coffee and seals the coffee away from moisture and air. Then user interface is straight forward with LED indicators and easy to use buttons.

This unit is a super automatic and can create a drink with the user simply pushing a button, while doing it extremely fast. The Solis Palazzo can create the drinks so quickly because of the Rapid Steam boiler system, this also allows you to go directly from brewing to frothing almost instantly. The competitors of this machine such as the Saeco Syntia or the Gaggia Platinum Swing offer a milk island, where this unit does not, but they cannot brew as quickly either.

Loved it while it worked. - I had it for 9 years. Worked great. Not a problem or issue with anything, until stupid me, on meds after my hip surgery, poured water into the bean hopper. My fault. Ended up giving it to a friend who could repair it and keep it. I'd buy another. It has worked better than any machine I've owned. (In that price range.) Had a commercial automatic $7,000. That was great, but the price wasn't. An electrical storm ended that. Thank goodness it was covered by insurance. That's when I bought the Solis Palazzo. I loved the espresso machine and yes, I'll buy a new one.

Solis Master 5000 - Very difficult, if not impossible, to find repair parts for Solis. If it breaks buy a new one! I've just spent a month waiting for an eight dollar gasket to repair the leaking boiler, a common problem in aging machines. The dealer said he has quit handling Solis, order canceled! Good machines while they are working.

Great machine Poor repair from manufacturer - I have been trying to get a new circuit board from the maker of this machine Solis Palazzo for almost 9 months. Circuit board went out because of the plastic steam coupling blew out and shorted out the circuit board, the coupling should have been steel. Each time I or the certified repairman contacted them about the part it was always on back order. They just seem to placate with no intentions of service.
