A: All of the VitaMix home blenders have the same motor with the 2 peak horsepower.

Q: Does the professional 500 series reach the same high speed at variable 10 as the 5200 does when switched to high?

A: Yes the Professional 500 Series high speed would be the same as the high speed on the VitaMix 5200.

Q: What is the difference between the Vita Mix Professional Series 500 blender and the Vita Mix CIA blender?

A: The Vita Mix Professional Series 500 is essentially the same blender as the Vita Mix CIA blender as far as mechanics and cosmetically. However, the Pro Series 500 blender has 3 preprogrammed cycles (ice cream, hot soup and smoothies) that is not available on any other Vita Mix Home Blender. Another difference would be that the CIA Blender has color options and the Pro 500 Blender is only available in the one color.

A: The VitaMix Pro 500 offers a two peak horsepower motor with a blade tip speed of 240 mph.

Q: I am confused, maybe they are the same thing? The vita mix 500 vs the vita mix professional series (models 1363-1364-1365). According to some info the vita mix professional (models1363, etc) has 11.5, 37,000 revolutions per minute and a laser cut stainless steel blade. Is the 500 exactly the same specs or does it differ and if it different what are it's specs? Thank you, Zeta

A: These blenders are very similar but the VitaMix 500 has 3 pre-set programs along with the variable speeds while the CIA Professional blenders do not have the 3 pre-set programs.

A: All of the VitaMix Blenders are of very high quality. All of the Home Blenders by VitaMix have a 2 horsepower motor. The biggest difference in the home blenders is cosmetic. The Turbo Blend Two Speed is different because it does not have the variable speed dial in the middle and just has high and low speeds. The Professional Series 500 has 3 preprogrammed cycles....frozen desserts, soup and smoothies. Otherwise they all pretty much have the same functions but are different cosmetically.
