A: Yes, the 5200 series blenders are sold through Vita Mix's referral program so they are billed and shipped directly through Vita Mix. We only sell brand new appliances. Yes, this blender is available in Stainless Steel. I am not aware of it ever being $340.00 as long as we have sold it, the current price is as listed on the website. Q: does this 5200 work with a smaller wet container. The height of my counter top is 14-3/4" I've noticed smaller/fatter wet containers.
A: We carry the Vita-Mix Eastman Tritan 32oz Blender Container - Wet Blade & Lid Model: 15842 and the Vita-Mix Eastman Tritan 48 oz Container Model: 15255 both fit the VitaMix 5200 blender.

Q: What is difference between Vita Mix 5200 blender and the Turbo Blend VS?
A: These two blenders are almost identical. The specs on both blenders are exactly the same, the blenders just come with different items. The 5200 model comes with the "Let's Get Started Class" on DVD, the "Getting Started Guide" on DVD, and a "Whole Food Recipes" Cookbook while the Turbo Blend VS comes with the "Live Fresh" Recipe Book, the "Lets Get Started" on DVD, and a Nut Milk Bag. Also, since the Turbo Blend VS is sold directly by Everything Kitchens there is no sales tax on this model (unless shipped withing MO) while the 5200 series blenders are sold by referral only and are subject to Vita Mix's sales tax policies.

Q: What is the difference between the Vita mix 500 and Vita mix 5200? Williams Sonoma sells the 500 series, before purchasing need to know which is the better model. Appreciate any info.
A: The Vita Mix 5200 is available in different colors and has 2 speeds of High and Low and a variable speed dial in the middle. The Vita Mix Professional Series 500 Model 1710 is only available in one color. The Professional Series 500 also has High, Low and Variable Speeds, but also has 3 preprogrammed cycles...Smoothies, Hot Soups and Frozen Desserts. You may view the Professional 500 Series blender on our site by entering 1710 in the search box.

This Vitamix 5200 is not inexpensive, but it is also not cheaply-made; this Vitamix 5200 Blender is, by far and away, the single best blender available anywhere. We use the Vita-Mix 5200 daily, making the most wonderful smoothies, full of nutrition and as low in sugar as we want, saving ourselves the $6.00 and up for lower-quality smoothies available in stores. We even incorporate vegetables, nuts, and flaxseed for the added health benefits, and the fibery pulps totally disappear under the high-powered blades. Invest in your health, boost the nutrition intake for the kids, and enjoy amazing, cool treats all summer!

I've had my Super 5000 going on 20 years. Having a small jerky business I've been use is almost daily for the pass 15 years to make marinade. It has given me a long and dependable service. I was just now using it to make hummus and it started dancing all over the counter, then stopped. I' buying a new one.

Perfect smoothies every time -
Will blend anything smoothly every time. I love my protein powder soy smoothie with bananas, strawberries, chocolate powder and peanut butter. This Vita-Mix machine is a workhorse. Durable and well made. Thanks Vitamix.

i just received my vitamix a week ago and i love it....i drink 2 green smoothies a day and so do the kids...there are so many things to make the list is endless. It is well worth the price!!!!!!

Everybody was right! What did I ever do without this machine? I just bought the 5200 model 5 days ago and I use it twice a day every day. I simply LOVE it! What a great and tasty way to "drink" your veggies! Haven't experimented too much yet other than veggie/fruit smoothies, but I will. I'm used to throwing whatever is in the fridge into my Magic Bullet, so I know that you can almost throw any combos together - with a little pineapple, oranges, apples or most any fruit, all your veggies in a smoothie are awesome. But the Vitamix compared to my trusty Magic Bullet? The Vitamix is a 10 and the bullet falls to a 2 now. The blade, power, clean-up, size, ease - you name it, just does not compare to anything else on the market. Where has the Vitamix been all my life ???
