The special jar that this blender uses allows it to blend a small amount (as little as 4 oz) with as much precision and consistency as a full container (64 oz.) thanks to the Vita-Mix design.

The unique jar design allows you to process the wide array of 200 recipes that come included with the Vitamix (4500) Blender. You can puree fruits and vegetables, blend smoothies, create salad dressing, sauce, baby food, ice cream and even grind grains. It is this versatility that has allowed VitaMix to be one of the front-runners in home blenders for so long. When you combine the polycarbonate jar, the 2 HP motor, 5 year warranty and versatility of the Vita-Mix 4500 you have a powerful combination that will meet everyone’s needs and exceed most!

With the TurboBlend (4500) blender you can process all of the foods as the Vitamix 5200 or the Super 5200 except you only have two speed options (Hi / Lo), versus the variable speed dials of the other Vita-Mix blenders. All of the Vita-Mix home blenders share the same 2 horsepower rating that allows you to power through the tough product, and they all share the same special Vitamix designed jar. Another key difference between the Vita-Mix TurboBlend 4500 and the Vita-Mix 5200 (Replaced the VitaMix 5000) is the warranty. The Vitamix TurboBlend Two Speed 1782 comes with a 5 year warranty and the 5200 series is backed by a 7 year warranty.

great great great!!! - We had a hurricane coming; we loaded up the RV and the first item that was brought on-board was the Vita-Mix. We have smoothies every day; cleaning up is a breeze. This is our second. We upgraded to the Vitamix 5000 several years ago and use it daily. The best appliance that we have ever owned and I'm 68. The reason that we first bought one was the fact that this amazing Vitamix blender is used in just about every bar and restaurant all over the US. They take a beating and keep on going.

VitaMix Nutrition Center Variable Speed - I bought this Vitamix Blender over ten years ago and use it every day. I am 81 years old and very healthy. From smoothies to beet and carrot juice. I take no prescription drugs, have normal blood pressure and play 9 holes of golf three days a week year around. I can honestly tell everyone to purchase this Vitamix Blender and enjoy good health. Do not cook vegetables before blending. You won't get all the vitamins and minerals to stay healthy. I recommended Vitamix to a friend several years ago and he eliminated his arthritis in his hands with beet juice. How about that!

Very Solid Blender - The Vitamix 4500 blender is a very solid blender. Just one look at it and you will probably think that you wont be breaking it any time soon - I thought that when I first looked at mine. With a 2 HP motor, it will blend up almost anything you want too.

The only equipment I need in the Kitchen. - I purchased my Vitamix 4500 TurboBlend 5 years ago and have used the many recipes and adapted some to make just about anything in record time. In winter we love throwing together some yummy, healthy soups and sauces; in summer we make smoothies and ice cream and we make our own peanut & almond butters. We really aren't "cooks" so this fits our lifestyle perfectly and clean up is a snap. I'm so glad a friend turned me on to this piece of equipment.

VitaMix Blender is the Best!! - I bought a Vita Mix Blender a year ago and I wish I had gotten it sooner. It is one of the best pieces of kitchen equipment that I now own. I use it everyday for smoothies, soups, "vegan" ice cream and many other things. I would have never known that you can even make hot soups with a blender. I would highly recommend this product.

An Old Friend - I've had my Vitamix 4500 Blender for so long I don't remember when I purchased it. I can say that there is no other product like it that I know of that even comes close to doing the job(s) it does for me.

Great product - Great product. I've had The Vitamix 4500 Blender for years, I make smoothies, soups, chop onions, vegetables. I would recommend it for anyone who wants to increase their fiber and eat more fruits and vegetables without thinking about it. Easy to clean as well. I haven't had any problems with my Vitamix over the years. It sits on my kitchen counter along with 2 of my old blenders which I never use anymore.
