Q: Need a juicer that can be used to mix vegetables and make them smooth enough to drink without extracting any of the nutrients. It's for someone with cancer and we are told juicing is very effective.

A: This 3.5 HP blender will break down the cell walls of fruits and vegetables and process into a drinkable liquid as long as adequate liquid is added. However you specified that you wanted a juicer. A juicer will extract the juice and separate it from the pulp while a high power blender will just emulsify the two into a thick but drinkable liquid. The Xtreme Hi-power Waring Commercial Blenders is an excellent blender if you are wanting to keep the pulp in the "juice". If you are wanting a juicer the Omega 8003 or the 8006 is an excellent juicer that can juice fruits, vegetable and leafy greens.

Exceptional Blender - Fantastic power and speed. Coming from a standard retail/big-box blender, the performance is totally unbelievable! It requires a cleaning cycle after each use. There is water leakage around the center cap on cleaning cycle. (Thicker mixes do not leak.) Not at all well designed for that. The plastic jar is getting cloudy at the base where ice is flung by blades. Fix the cap insert leak and it could not be better!

Xtreme Hi-Power Waring Commercial Blender w/ 48 oz - I purchased this Waring blender last summer after much research. I was looking for a blender that was strong enough to make "smooth" smoothies. I was originally looking a the VitaMix and BlendTec blenders, but I wasn't willing to pay $500 for a blender. I believe one of them was too tall to fit under standard kitchen cabinets too. I saw that the Waring Xtreme was equally as powerful for $350. I am very happy with my decision. It makes smooth, creamy smoothies and seems to blend effortlessly. I make veggie and fruit smoothies, so it is hard to find a blender that doesn't leave it chunky. It is also easy to clean and fits on the counter under the cabinets. I love it!
