Q: Is this motor loud, or quiet like the professional slicers you see in your local deli?

A: Here is the response from Conair: This is a relatively subjective question, but throughout product testing I have never considered the slicer to be loud. We have performed numerous comparisons to other slicers and it does not seem to be louder than competitor units. This is a commercial quality slicer, so it is very comparable to the slicers that you will see at the deli.
