I own this Waring Commercial Blender. Those who have been blending as long as I have know that home blenders with all those speeds are sold as a marketing gimmick. Two speeds for food work are all that's necessary. I've had my Waring Blender for about 4 years. I enjoy the compact footprint. I like the fact the buttons are not on the top where food can get in them. The paint on this blender makes it very easy to keep clean. I have both the classic Waring glass carafe and also have the stainless steel one illustrated. These stainless carafes are actually formed by hand. I usually use the stainless container because it's easier to clean. In short, this Commercial Blender is in my home, but it's been used thousands of times, making everything from mixed drinks to smoothies to soup to mayonnaise. It is expensive compared to the cheap discount store blenders. However, this Waring Blender can be a lifetime purchase for the home cook or bartender.
