Q: Is Model WW 4000 or WW 8800 made in the USA? Your one product states it is, but neither of these do? Thank you.
A: The WW9000 is made in the USA. However, the WW4000 and WW8800 are both made in China.

Q: Would you please advise the difference between the Waterwise 4000 vs 9000....I am wondering why the $100 discrepancy between the two. I am leaning to wards the less expensive one solely due to price difference. Please advise. Thank you in advance
A: The WaterWise 4000 is very compact and convenient for travel. It comes with a glass collection jar and will produce 1 gallon in 4 hours or up to 6 gallons in 24 hours. It comes with a one year warranty. The WaterWise 9000 has an advanced design concept including an external heating element for long life and a 30 minute fan-delayed start for improved efficiency. Overall, they both have the same function and produce the same quality water.

 I own one, then got one for my daughter -
We first purchased the Water Wise 9000. It had problems, we used the warranty, they fixed it, then had more problems, to the point that we switched to the 4000 distiller. We've never had a problem with it. We have had it for over 4 years. It is loved so much that when my daughter moved out, we got her one as an apartment-warming gift!

Waterwise 4000 -
It's my third one. They seem to last me about 2 years. I distill 2-3 gallons per day for drinking. They do the job, I just wish they would last longer. I like the idea of the glass jug, but I prefer the plastic one because the glass one cannot be sealed shut.

 Expensive and defective parts fail early. -
After 3 years of use the fan motor stopped working. Their customer support said the one year warranty had expired and a replacement part would cost $45. I asked if it was considered normal that this part would only last 3 years and was informed that it should last much longer. Just for comparison, another (much less expensive) unit I have is still working fine after over 10 years. A letter to the president resulted in an offer of a discount to replace the defective part. Stay away from Waterwise!
