- The Zojirushi 3 Cup Micom Rice Cooker model # NS-LAC05XA and the Zojirushi 3 Cup Induction Rice Cooker & Warmer model # NP-GBC05XA would both be excellent choices for a couple or small family looking for a smaller capacity rice cooker with all the bells and whistles. The NP-GBC05XA offers Induction Heating for more evenly distributed heat for perfect results every time.

- what is the smallest amount of rice this will cook? I am looking for one that will have one cup of cooked rice after cooking, or even less. That can prepare just one serving of specialty brown rice
- The Zojirushi NS-LAC05XA Rice Cooker has a minimum amount of a half cup of dry rice which normally equates to one cup of cooked rice.

Rating I recently purchased this model of the Zojirushi rice cooker and can't emphasize how pleased I am with the perfect results! The induction heating and spherical pan are a breakthrough in rice cooking. I love the delayed programming.
I've already used it for white steamed rice, sticky, and sushi rice.
If you regularly eat rice and want restaurant quality - actually I get better results than that, it pays to buy the best - Zojirushi.
It doesn't get any better than this! (Posted on 1/8/09)
