I got this mixer in the early 1900's, and it has never skipped a beat-love it! Review by Beulah
Perfect Review by kschaben
I could not be happier with my mixer. Took it out of the box and made the french bread recipe in the owners manual to see if it worked as good as I saw on the videos. I used ten cups of whole wheat flour instead of white. it literally took 2 min to make the dough. The mixer had no problem even though the bowl was almost to the top I did not even use the shield and no mess. Raised in the same bowl and within an hour we had three loaves of fresh bread. The mixer is wonderful and I highly recommend it. (Posted on 12/4/14)

Love my Bosch Mixer Review by Guest
After doing a lot of research I decided on the Bosch Mixer. Since it's just the two of us it's a good size for me. Received it yesterday and made some dough for French Bread. It was quiet and loved how it mixed. All in all very happy with it! (Posted on 1/10/13)
So far we love it, especially its compactness Review by Guest
I purchased the Bosch Compact Mixer for two primary uses, to knead whole grain heavy bread dough and to grind grains into flour with the Family Grain Mill and Bosch Compact attachment.
The Bosch Compact Mixer kneads the heavy dough for one loaf which is what we wanted as we prefer to make it fresh a loaf at a time. The kneading action seems more effective than the Kitchen Aid Classic 300 watt mixer we previously used. It does handle one loaf of all whole wheat, rye, and other heavy grains well. We have not tried two.
As for using with the Family Grain Mill, it is slower than I had expected. So far we have only ground wheat berries and rye berries into a fairly fine flour. On speed three, it will grind a cup in about three minutes. Reviews I had read prior to purchase indicated 1-2 minutes. We have not been able to replicate this. Per the Cris Enterprises representative who represents the Family Grain MIll, you should only grind on the maximum mixer speed of three, not four. So we did not exceed this. On speed two it was even slower. The Everything Kitchens rep thought the mill was slower with the Bosch mixer than it would be with the mill motor that is designed to run the mill. However, she had not used this system. After debating whether to return the mill because it probably won't keep up with the quantity of grain we want to mill, we decided to keep it. It will grind oily grains like flax and sesame that the micronizer mills will not. We want this option. Also it will crack grains and the micronizer mills don't offer this option either. So we plan to purchase a Wondermill or Nutrimill as our primary mill and use this one as secondary. It seems they have different uses.
Since we have only had the mill and Bosch Compact Mixer for about a week, I cannot speak to durability and service issues. (Posted on 2/11/12)
Bosch Compact Review by Guest
I purchased this mixer before Thanksgiving this year 2010, I love to bake bread and I want to express my delight with this mixer. I have made all types of breads, rolls, cookies and I'm extremely pleased with mixer. It's easy to clean, easy to use. Love it. (Posted on 12/16/10)
I love my Bosch Compact Mixer Review by Guest
I have had the Bosch Compact Mixer for several years now and really love it. I do more baking because it is so small and easy to use and so much quieter than a larger mixer that I own. I confess, I have not tried 100% whole wheat bread dough in it yet, but have made some partially whole wheat breads, and it works fine. The biggest problem I have with it is that the lid always wants to come off, so I have to watch it carefully. If the load inside is small, this does not happen, but it does if anything significant is mixing. It is easy to use and easy to clean. I highly recommend the Bosch Compact Mixer, especially for beginning breadmakers, or those who love to bake cookies and things. (Posted on 3/29/09)
Compact, but no Weakling! Review by Guest
I have two Bosch Compact Mixers, one bought in the 90's and one only a couple of years old. I also have the Bosch Universal and the Electrolux Assistent for heavy bread baking. The Compact has a very ingenious 4-way arm that tilts for different uses. Unlike the Bosch Universal Mixer and Bosch Concept, the Bosch Compact arm has a novel action for mixing from the arm. Tilt the arm down and there is a fantastic 4-cup blender, and a food processor (optional attachments). Tilt the arm another way and there's a capable meat grinder available. Tilt it yet another way and there's a slicer/shredder made available. I replaced a Kitchen Aid Mixer with my first Bosch Compact Mixer. It is absolutely perfect for recipes not requiring a larger capacity. Its capacity is roughly the same as the Kitchen Aid Mixer models that have the screw-in bowl in the bottom. It will easily handle 2-loaf bread recipes with the dough hook (included). It does fantastic whipped cream and meringue; I use the whisk to make angel food cake with over a dozen egg whites. Cakes are one of my hobbies and I actually prefer the Bosch Compact Mixer to the Bosch Universal Mixer for cake making. The secret added bonus is the very light weight of the machine compared to the Universal. It is ultra-easy to put this mixer away in a cabinet and getting it out for work. The base unit seems no heavier than a couple of hand mixers on this market and this machine is much, much more capable. I have every accessory, though I use the blender most. The meat grinder is awesome. Unlike the Kitchen Aid mixers, I've never had either Bosch Compact Mixer get hot with cookie dough or kneading bread. Why can't the American companies make one this good? The Bosch Compact Mixer is very practical Review by Guest
I have the Toastmaster labeled version of the Bosch Compact Mixer, plus several attachments. I've used mine for years, and love it. It's perfect for a small family. I usually make small batches in my Bosch Mixer such as a batch of pancakes, cookies, a loaf or two of bread, etc. I really like it. A bigger mixer wouldn't be practicle for me, since I don't do big batches, so no use hauling out a huge heavy mixer. The Bosch Compact Mixer fits in my cabinet, and is light enough to pull out with one hand and have it set up on the counter in seconds. If it's not easy to you, you wont use it, so the fact that I use my Bosch Mixer all the time says it's quite practical. Oh, and the Blender you can buy for this Bosch Mixer is pretty powerful too. Good for margaritas, salsas, etc. (Posted on 5/14/08)
