Cuisinart Perfec Temp 14 Cup Coffee Maker

My old Cuisinart kicked the bucket, but I liked to use it because it made really good coffee. My only complaints were that it was nearly impossible to fill without spilling. This new version seems to have just enough room to make it fill without spilling and when you pull out the carafe it does a good job of not spilling all over while it is brewing. It took me a little while to figure out the various functions, but if you read the manual, the darn thing just works and your hot coffee is waiting for you in the morning. You can also make enough coffee to take care of several guests without having to make multiple pots. (Posted on 5/5/16)

I have owned many coffee makers over the years but none have ever made coffee like this Cuisinart PerfecTemp. This product might take a little bit longer (not noticeably so), but the results are far superior to others in that the coffee is brewed perfectly and the temperature is actually hot. This is a welcome change from my previous coffee makers which have put out relatively warm coffee. The larger pot size is nice for guests. One thing I have noticed is that the coffee maker is a little noisier than some during the brewing process. This, however, is not a huge problem. First, I like hot coffee not the tepid brew that comes out of most coffee makers nowadays. This coffee machine brews coffee at the correct temp , especially if you add milk or creamer to your coffee. The large 14 cup capacity is perfect for my wife and I in the mornings when we both want a large mug of "starter" coffee and then have plenty left to carry to work. Before we always had to make two pots. It is easy to operate and very easy to see the nicely lit display. If you want to make less than a full pot it has settings for that and more. It is slower to brew than our old coffee maker, but worth the little extra for the correct temp. The only other nitpick is I wish it had a removable water reservoir to carry directly to the sink. Our old coffee maker had that feature and we really liked it. But here's the thing- this thing makes great coffee. If you go to the expense of buying good beans (or even if you don't) you want the best cup to live up to your kona or celebes or whatever you prefer. This coffee machine delivers where it counts, finally. There are a lot of expensive (and cheap) coffee makers that aren't worth a darn-this one is!!! (Posted on 4/2/12)
