Glad I bought it Review by Vicki
I purchased this 5 months ago and use it often, though not every day. It makes really good espresso with great crema as long as the grind is fine, the coffee is freshly ground and fresh, and the tamping is strong and even. I do not use the filter basket with the single hole and the insert; it is supposed to make better crema but I found I can create a better one with the regular filter without the insert.
The steaming wand for milk is not wonderful. It makes a huge amount of foam that will overflow the container before the milk gets heated enough, and the foam has bubbles that are too large. Supposedly submerging the hole on the wand stops foam production, but I have not found that to be the case, and anyhow it is hard to submerge that part when you are only using 4 ounces of milk for a single cappuccino. However, taking the end of the panarello off and steaming with just the part that screws onto the metal frothing wand works a charm to produce a dense, hot foam with micro-bubbles. I found this workaround through the Gaggia Classic owner's forum, along with some other useful tips, though I've avoided the more extreme suggestions about replacing parts and temperature surfing that some of the fanatics on the board suggest. If you grind good, fresh coffee correctly and tamp it well, you can get a fantastic espresso out of this machine without all the fuss and bother of modifications and obsessive tinkering.
I am very happy with this machine and how easy it is to make a great cap or espresso with it. I've found it consistent and easy to use, and also easy to clean and maintain. The manual lacks a few details and could be organized better; the forum was helpful to fill in the gaps. For example, the manual does not tell you to release some steam from the frothing wand before steaming milk...this is necessary to get rid of the hot water in the wand. Otherwise, this is a simple machine that is simple to use and does a great job. (Posted on 7/20/16)

Great Espresso Machine Review by Guest
We've had our Gaggia Classic espresso machine for about a month now and don't know how we ever lived without it! Whether we use ground espresso or pods, the results are great. The hardest part is deciding what beans we like best - but we've been having fun working our way through a POD sampler.
This espresso machine is easy to use and I love that you can "hot swap" it and make multiple cups in a row without letting it cool down like I had to with my last machine.
I'm very happy with our purchase. My husband is considering buying a second for his office because he's become so addicted to the great espresso the Gaggia espresso machine makes. It's much better than Starbucks or Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf! (Posted on 8/31/11)
Love This Espresso Machine Review by Guest
I bought this espresso maker hoping it would replace my very expensive daily Starbucks bill. All I can say is that with this coffee maker I can make a better latte than Starbucks! Once you get your preferred measurements your lattes and espresso shots will turn out delicious. (Posted on 8/23/11)

Completely pleased with the Gaggia Classic Review by Guest
We use this machine every morning to make espresso and latte, usually 3 double shots. We're totally happy with the results. As good or better than any coffee we've gotten at any espresso house. We were Starbucks regulars, but haven't seen the inside of any espresso shop since we bought this Gaggia machine (except when traveling). We have yet to de-calcify, so I can't comment on how easy or difficult that is, but we are told it is absolutely necessary to do this kind of maintenance, to keep any espresso machine running well.
And Everything Kitchens was the ONLY place where we found a discounted price. Thanks, EK! (Posted on 5/21/11)
