    Handy hand blender Review by

I enjoy using my hand blender. It works great. My only improvement would be to somehow make it easier to detach the blender from the motor. I have arthritis and sometimes it takes me 5-10 minutes before I can successfully detach.

I absolutely love everything about this mixer. From the mini food processor to the mixer itself. If you want a all in one mixer, this is the one to get. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

This is the Boss of my Kitchen! Review by

My husband got this for me for Christmas, because I always thought how cool they seem. Then it sat on top of my fridge for months! I had never used one before and when I needed it I was always in a hurry so I wouldn't take the time to unpack it, wash it up and finally learn how to use it. Well, that was then and I do have it all cleaned up and ready to go! How convenient to have this around! I don't need my food processor as much nor my hand mixer! This one tool does so much of what I need! LOVE LOVE it!

Perfect for Salad Dressings and more Review by

I bought this about a month ago while doing the whole 30 diet. I wanted it to make my Own mayo after I was unsuccessful with a food processer. It worked perfect, made mayo like magic. I've since then used it to make amazing salad dressing it's makes a creamy delicious fruit vibgerette. I've also used it to make ice cream out of frozen bananas and my morning protein shake. I love it so much I'm going to purchase it for a friends house warming gift! It's a must have item!

Wow, another great Kitchen Aid product Review by

My old hand blender died. When I shopped for a new one I found that most are either really cheap with no power or very expensive as they all lots of extras that are not needed. Since I have used Kitchen Aid products for over 34 years I know they produce a quality item. The blender is a lot more powerful than my old one. The hand blender does separate so it can put in the dishwasher; a great convenience. The blades are stainless so they will hold up for years. it is easier to store than a single piece one. This is not as loud as my previous blender. This blender works great as well. This is definitely worth the purchase!!

    Does not chop Review by

Chopping attachment is a complete failure. Purchased this primarily for the chopping attachment as it is inconvenient to take the full sized food processor out at certain times. Unfortunately the chopping attachment has several flaws. First, upon washing it as per the instructions, it became full of water that we cannot get out of the unit. Who knows what sort of bacteria could be growing inside. Second, the attachment does not spin when attached to the motor. It makes a very loud noise when it encounters the smallest amount of resistance from something it is attempting to chop. Overall a significant disappointment.

heavy duty hand mixer Review by

I bought this a couple of weeks back. Though I only used the whipping attachment I am impressed with the strength and versatility of this wand mixer. I am very confident that it will do all the jobs I need to do in a hand mixer. Clean up was quick and easy. Unfortunately the heavy duty cord makes it cumbersome at times. Bravo KitchenAid you live up to my expectations again.

    Awesome Versatility Review by

I received this as a gift, and it is exactly what I needed. Not only is it an immersion blender, it also is an electric hand whisk and a food processor! I have used all functions when it is inconvenient for me to pull out my KitchenAid Stand Mixer and attachments. It has great power, I love that there are adjustable settings, and it is fairly compact. It is an extremely versatile appliance that handles all three of its functionalities perfectly. I am so glad I received this as a gift.

A Must for the Kitchen Review by

I bought this several months ago and it has been so handy. I luv it! Just in time for the holiday cooking. I used it to make a ginger butternut squash soup...yum! Makes pureeing for these types of soups so easy. I also used it to make a minced garlic paste, as I had a large supply on hand. I am finding so many uses. Like today: I was going to make a tomato basil soup which called for tomato puree, but I have only diced tomatos on hand. Was going to start a grocery list, then remembered my handy hand blender! No problem now!!

    Easy peasy Review by

Really put my hand blender and accessories through their paces this holiday season. Chopping onions, blending eggs into batter, even whipped eggs white. Cut down my preparation time more then half...plus I was able to do all of this by simpling using my hand blender and changing out the accessories that came with it...not only preparation time was cut, so was the clean up time. Easy peasy...love it, would highly recommended my newest addition to my Kitchenaid family of small appliances....love my Kitchen Aid hand blender.

    Disappointed Review by

I am one who usually does not bother to leave a review online but this product really gave me a fit that I just have to do it. I bought this handheld blender because I read so many positive reviews but I was so disappointed. The whisk attachment comes apart easily from the handheld when I tried to whip some egg white and I know I turn and lock it well so it has nothing to do with improper usage. This is not what I would expect from KitchenAid products. I would definitely not recommend this to anyone.

Some Issues w/3 Speed Hand Blender Review by

Would recommend to a friend with caution. Love Kitchen Aid products. Was brought up with them. Currently have the Kitchen Aid Mixer, Dishwasher..... However, when using the hand blender to puree a cauliflower soup, the attachment kept coming off..... This should not have occurred. If it's not broke... Review by

I had the original KitchenAid Hand Blender and after so many years (more than I can even remember) it finally quit on me. I just replaced it with the latest available model and am upset that the design to the blade attachment changed. The original mechanically locked in place and required one to squeeze the grip to release the clips. This latest model just is a slip and turn but does not lock. So when I went to use it to simply puree squash for my soup it kept detaching. I had to keep one hand at the blade/handle joint to keep it from shifting or slipping off and the other on the power pad. It is the cheapest, dumbest re-design for the type of equipment. KitchenAid, I am so disappointed. I was going to invest in your mixer but am afraid you have taken short cuts with that as well. Another example of American ingenuity going to garbage.

    think again Review by

Most things in the US are righty tighty, lefty loosey but the attachments to this device tighten in reverse of that. Why? Most motors can have their direction of turn reversed by swapping the electrical leads so if theses attachments tighten to the left because of the native direction of the motor, there's not that much circuitry involved to reverse motor spin direction. So think again! The speed numbers are printed in a black Helvetica font on a shiny gray background more or less on top of the dial. When I stand with the blender in one hand and the bowl in the other, the top of the blender is at or above my eye level. I need to lower and tilt it to confirm the selected speed. There is LOTS of room on that top cap: what about printing the numbers to extend down around the sides, about 4x larger, and in a color of high contrast to the background. Baby boomers are turning to age 60 at more than 10,000 each day in the U.S. Think about it! So yes it blends it slices and it dices but so do a number of other brands.

Exactly what I expected-PERFECT! Review by

This stick blender is amazing for pureeing foods quickly, easily, and dependably while needing very little clean-up effort. It's perfect for small batches of baby food without having to use the food processor and have a large clean-up job. As an added bonus, the whipping and chopping attachments make omelettes a BREEZE! I've seen some reviews where people say the wand attachment doesn't stay in place, but I honestly think they may not be giving that final, firm twist to lock it in place before turning the stick blender on. It requires a firm twist to lock, which is reassuring that it is attached well. My only regret is that I didn't purchase one sooner!!!

This hand blender is awesome! It is a little bigger and stronger than I thought it would be; it easily blended frozen fruit into a perfectly blended smoothy. It does not splash, which is great for me, as I not particularly graceful.

    Surprisingly tough Review by

I had this on my wedding registry because I wanted an immersion blender with a brand name that I could trust. What I didn't expect was the food processing attachment, and the whisk attachment. I had no idea that I needed these in my life. The food processor attachment is incredible. Baby food: no problem, chopping nuts: no issues, making my own spices: acceptable. It even does cilantro (make sure it's nice and dry though). Simply incredible. Had my sister in law not bought it for me, I'd buy it.

    Love it! Review by

I bought this about a month ago to purée soups, make baby food and to make smoothies (I hate using a blender! So much clean up!) I haven't had a chance to make the soups or baby food yet but I've been making a frozen banana w/ oatmeal, almond milk, peanut butter and cocoa powder frequently and love it. I love that I can take of the blender and rinse it off in the sink and call it good, rather rhan having to clean an entire pitcher and lid for the blender. I think the processer will work excellent for chopping onions or peppers as well. Hope this review helps. I'm satisfied!

I purchased this to make hot sauces, but quickly discovered the many other uses of this product. Excellent value for the money. Just used it to puree garden fresh tomatoes to simmer with fresh minced green pepper, garlic, and hot sausage to top over rigatoni. KitchenAid makes the best products by far. Bon Apetit!

    Solid Hand Blender Review by

I purchased this hand blender a couple of months ago to replace one (another brand) that broke after years of use. I don't use it a lot, but it's come in very handy to get the lumps out of cake batter. You just stick in the appliance and it whirs away the lumps! The accouterments have come in handy, too. The cup has been useful for shakes (I use the cup and appliance for my protein powder drinks). I hope this lasts for years to come.

    Seriously flawed chopper Review by

I purchased your 3-Speed Hand Blender for its immersion blender function and, very importantly, for the chopper attachment to replace my food processor's basic function. I am deeply disappointed in the chopper. I went to make a Thai marinade and instantly saw a problem: the blade is too high off the bottom of the bowl. To make matters worse, the blade's stem has a spring in it, thus ensuring that if the blade is in danger of actually contacting a small object, it can instead skim right over it! The solid ingredients were small: coriander seed, peppercorns, and a very large clove of garlic in a small amount of oil, fish sauce, and soy sauce. The garlic clove was cut into about three pieces; then everything just lay there while the blade spun. I tipped the bowl on edge, holding the wand firmly in place, and by tipping and rocking it, I succeeded in chopping the garlic although not nearly as small as it should have been. The peppercorns were intact as, of course, were the coriander seeds. Then there is the matter of the chopper's lid. The tipping, etc, meant garlicky oil had sloshed all over the interior surface. The bowl and lid (on its side) went into the dishwasher (top rack, no heated drying). It was when I unloaded them that I discovered that there was water trapped inside the lid. Shaking it and pounding it into my hand yielded less than 1/2 teaspoon of water, and there was still water inside. There still is, some five days later. Last night I tried to chop ~1/2 cup of peanuts. As the manual suggests I pulsed the nuts. I ended up with a lot of peanut dust, middling-sized pieces and almost whole peanuts. (I have before and after photos). AND … the lid dripped water when inverted and sounds as if there is more water now although it has not been near water again. I'm not sure that the fine performance of the blender outweighs the shortcomings of the chopper-and-lid. I'm not sure I can make cheesecake in a graham cracker dust crust. What will happen to hard cheese?

    Works great except... Review by

I used to have a Kitchenaid hand blender and a small food processor. Always loved them, worked really great and I purchased them in separate. Before I moved to another country, I sold them and found this new set that combines both in one product. Being Kitchenaid, I completely trusted the brand and selected it even though it costs twice as much the similar other manufacturer. It´s been less than a week that I received it and, although the products works great, there is one HUGE problem: the mini processor lid accumulates water inside and there is absolutely no way to get it out. This is very unsanitary and I am sure soon it will start smelling bad and drip on food. I am willing to return this produdct immediately.

I can't believe how this chops ice in smoothies and drinks! It's so easy to use to emulsify veggies for sauces and soups, mash potatoes and more. It's easier to use than a hand mixer and blender for some things and all you need to clean is the blade attachment.

Handy for small tasks Review by

So far, so good! The mixer and attachments are great. The blender option make excellent smoothies, protein shakes and a smooth tomato sauce. The whisk makes the perfect whipped cream. Just as well as my large mixer. The processor is great for quick but messy chops, like salsa. It can run for a long time, without over heating or shutting down. It has a good weight to it, which I hope means that the parts are a better quality ad with therefor last longer.

    Best Immersion Blender Review by

I needed an immersion blender, and after reading a lot of reviews decided to give this one a go. It's been a fantastic addition to my kitchen. It works wonderfully and I haven't had to worry about it over-heating even if I run it for a few minutes straight. Stays cool to the touch. Easy to clean. I haven't tried the whisk or food processor attachments, but I'd be willing to bet that they do their job well. If you need an immersion blender, then look no further!

Why didn't I buy one of these before?? Review by

I've had this hand blender with attachments for almost a week now, and I have to say I'm extremely impressed! So far I have mixed up pancake batter, chopped onions, twice made mashed potatoes, chopped olives, chopped tomatoes and whipped up a creamy salad dressing--in seconds! I'm floored! I purchased a hand blender because I live in a very small studio with just a kitchenette. It wasn't worth the trouble to drag out my big blender and mixer, and my mini food processor was a pain to clean. My counters are too high for me to mix and beat without causing shoulder pain, so I stopped making many food items and started relying mostly on convenience foods. I didn't want to continue eating this way, so I Googled, Cooking well in a small space. Getting a hand, or immersion, blender was recommended right away, and that seemed like a good idea to me. I researched hand blenders for a few days, and decided one with attachments like a whisk and chopper would work best for me. I have a big KitchenAid blender that I like very much and was pleased to see this model of their hand blender was highly recommended on several cooking websites. So I bought it and couldn't be happier with it. I only wish I'd bought one sooner!?
