How Have I Functioned for SOOOO Long Without This! Review by

I have had numerous food processors - always adequate but not great. But NO MORE... this food processor is fabulous. I am in love with it. It's quiet but mighty. Do yourself a favor and get one!

Easy to Use. Easy to Clean. Review by

The product is easy to take apart and clean. There are no tricky pieces to detach or crevices that require struggling to clean. The base is surprisingly light and the bowl/blades are very easy to attach. And 9 cups is plenty large to accommodate all my needs thus far.

    Tips, Hints, Suggestions Review by

We just recently purchased the 9-cup ExactSlice Food Processor. Last night was our first hands on experience. We were trying to make coleslaw. By the time we were finished we had quite a bit of cabbage on the counter and on the floor. Not sure what we were doing wrong? We seemed to be having a problem with the tamper, sometimes the processor would run, sometimes it would not! Very frustrating! Is the a users group where we could trade information? We do see a future with our new purchase, we just need to get more adept!

    Best ever Review by

Don't know how I ever lived without my kitchenaid exactslice food processor. Cut my prep time in half. I almost didn't purchase this model because one review said the buttons were too hard to push. I have arthritis in both hands and I felt they were easier on my fingers to push. Thank you for such a great product.

Most complete processing system Review by

I gave the 9-cup KitchenAid Food processor to my girlfriend for Christmas and I have used it more times than her. The unit looks as though it is built to last, as well a being aesthetically pleasing. Three different sizes of feeding tubes, all built around one unit. Not chopping a lot of stuff? No problem, use the 3-cup bowl. The adjustable slicing system is the best feature. Powerful, easy to use, easy to clean, and good looks, make this the perfect food processor. I want my own! Peace.

Nice size and features Review by

I was a little worried the container would be too large for many of my jobs, but the mini cup insertion is a nice feature which allows more flexibility. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase and looking forward to trying it out with future recipes.

    What I wanted. Review by

It serves my purpose which is to have something to slice with. At first I thought it looked complicated and too much to take apart or put together but after you learn what is what then it isn't. It sits on my counter and it has one large bowl and one small bowl. I didn't need a lot of gadgets but I did purchase a plastic container to put the blades and the other parts that came with it. I went through a few before finding the one that would be a keeper for me.

Unbelievably quiet. Multiple blades to let you do anything. Review by

A previous model from a manufacturer failed and I got no support from them, so I looked for a replacement. Based upon positive reviews about customer service and product reliability, I tried this model. I've only used it for a couple of weeks, but it is great. It is significantly quieter than any other model I've tried. The processed food is consistent with the blade (i.e. no big chunks left over). It is extremely fast, even on low power. Potential the one problem area will be the large food pusher (not even listed in the parts). It **MUST** be used to get the unit to work. It has a metal rod that must complete the safety connection. Over time, I see that metal rod getting bent or broken, rendering the unit inoperable. Extra care must be used with this food pusher. I think this is going to be a great addition to my kitchen!

Just what we were looking for Review by

I was skeptical about the purchase of a food processor. But lemme tell ya, this thing is pretty great! It has significantly cut down (... hehe see what I did there!!! ;) ) the time taken to prepare veggies for sauces. And the hash browns are flowing hard for breakfast!! Clean-up is a breeze too! Definitely recommend this food processor!!

    Does not work Review by

From the beginning this model (KFP0930) was very difficult to turn it on (pushing very hard on bottons), and after a few attempts, it stop to work at all. I have even assembled the bowl and lid as instructed by picture guide and nothing changed. This was an expansive one, and I expected to be satisfied - it is very frustrating. I have other KitchenAid small appliances, but this food processor is a big disappointment. GDM

    Love it !! Review by

I bought this Kitchen Aid food processor to replace my old Kitchen Aid food processor. I had the old one for over 20 years and one of the plastic pieces broke off from taking the bowl on and off so many times. I liked the old one well enough not to change brands. The new one is much lighter, which is a great improvement, and they have added a couple of other new features. I am glad they make it in Red as it now matches my Kitchen Aid stand mixer. Great Product

    Super Multi-Tasker Review by

I was on the hunt to add a food processor to my kitchen collection. My requirements were that it needed to perform a multitude of tasks, offer easy adjustments, and quick cleanup. This KitchenAid product fit the bill. The features that sold me were the ExactSlice system and the dough blade for kneading bread dough. Very few other machines offered this combination beyond basic processing functions. The machine is well-built and solid - no rattles or loose fittings. The motor is also super quiet. Much quieter than I expected! Looking forward to many years of use.

Not the Product....It's the Operator! Review by

I previously wrote a review complaining that the food processor I purchased worked once and then didn't work again. I have spoken with KitchenAid customer service and they have walked me through the assembly of the processor. I did not have the lid of the processor lined up correctly and once it was I had power. So it is my error and not a faulty product. Those who are having problems may be able to solve them with the aid of Customer Service. I now look forward to using this appliance! BD

    Quiet Operation Review by

I have only used once and find it to be really quiet and tough on the job I did. I thought it was quite light weight compared to my older model but it seems to work without much effort. So far I love owning it and it looks great on my counter even though I thought it would be smaller in size but is is okay and I like the idea of the smaller bowl. Was a bit cumbersome locking in position compared to my older model.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago. It has a nice design and looks beautiful sitting on the counter. Has a lot of nice attachments and they may do a good job. I really don't know how well it works but it sure has a nice design. My question is Why do they ask you to review an item a couple of days after you receive it?

Only kitchenaid product that I would NOT recommend Review by

I've had several kitchenaid appliances and utensils that I love, including my stand mixer, icecream maker and meat grinder, but this one was a real waste of money. Every time I try to use it I get SO frustrated, it almos never works, I click, un click, disassemble and re-assemble to no avail, I've chcked the cord, switched aong the blades included, and I've been able to actually use it a handful of times, and since I do not live in the US, I cannot exchange it. So sad, I don't kow if it's too sensitive or what, because out of the blue it will work. I don't know what to do with it! and it is a shame, because it's everything else works beautifully

Used once and now it doesn't work Review by

I bought this a few months ago and was only able to use it once before it stopped working. I thought I didn't have all of the safety features in place, but I tried everything I found online to try to get it to work and it didn't help. I have no idea if the power is even on for it, because there is no light or indicator. It worked great the first day. If it kept work it would have been great.

don't like this one Review by

I have had my processor for over a year. received as gift from hubby because I can and freeze a lot of garden produce. It doesn't slice evenly, food gets caught in the grooves and cubbies around the top and makes complete mess. It is very hard to clean. The drop tube is narrow, only the smallest zucchinni, potatoes, etc will work without cutting them in half or even smaller. the buttons are hard to push, especially when using pulse features. I am 65 and have some arthritis in my hands-hard to use

Quiet, does a fantastic job Review by

We need to use a food processor at least 3 times a day to grind food for a person who is disabled and can not eat whole foods. This kitchen Aid Processor is the best so far. It is quiet, easy to use and is very strong. The blade(s) are very sharp. The unit has a good size base and is sturdy. The 9 cup bowl is thick plastic. Strong as glass. Far the best we used in 30+ years.

    Not the best Review by

Over complicated feed tube, over complicated blades, over complicated safety lock, non intuitive anti-clockwise-to-lock bowl, high speed too slow, buttons hard to operate with little feedback. Un-processed food gets caught on ledge between bowl and lid. Ugly and brash design. After 3 days I repaired my Braun (lid melted in dishwasher) and relegated this processor to the basement.

Good Medium Size Food Processor Review by

I bought the 9-Cup Food Processor a few weeks ago and am happy with it. It is a good size, but it isn't huge. I made a recipe for gazpacho that should serve six, and I had to cut back the size of the recipe because the ingredients didn't fit. Also, cleaning is somewhat of a process because of all of the pieces, particularly in the feeder tube. Overall though it's good for a medium size food processor.

    Perfect Size Review by

I recently purchased this food processor for making nut butters. I had a 3 cup Cuisinart that I have used for years but it really was too small for most of my kitchen jobs. When I looked at the 11 and 13 cup versions I thought they were too big. The 9 cup fits the bill perfectly. This processor does a great job. Enough power to grind the nuts for single jar nut butters with ease. It is not too loud which was some of the complaints I read in reviews of the high powered blenders.

    Fast and Efficient Review by

I received the Food Processor for Christmas and hadn't had the need to use it until Easter weekend. I had to make a Scalloped Potatoes au Gratin for our Easter feast and the head count was around 25 people. My husband peeled and I sliced! What would have been tedious work was reduced to minutes! Beautiful uniformed sliced potatoes and grated cheese.

Quiet motor, solid unit Review by

I haven't had a food processor in about 20 years, so the new technology that has come along since then is fabulous in terms of the quietness of operation. This unit feels much more solid than the one I had two decades ago (different brand.) Two complaints: 1. When using the small bowl, it has to sit inside the big bowl and whatever I am chopping (usually onions) will typically migrate into the rim of the large bowl, necessitating cleaning of both bowls 2. When grating a brick of cheese, there is always a portion of it that gets lodged between the grater and the side of the bowl. Instructions say the cheese needs to be very hard, but even when taking it directly out of the refrigerator, this still happens. I prefer not to have the inconvenience of needing to put the cheese in the freezer ahead of time to prevent this issue. Overall, it is a great unit and I am pleased with it. Would still definitely recommend.

    Looks great! Review by

Thought it might be more than needed, but its just right, and works great lots of power. Very happy I didn't go with the smaller ones ( 3 cup or 7 cup) it's just right.

    Disappointed Review by

I bought the 9 cup because of the exact a slice and the wide mouth. The exact a slice works great on so many veggies. The multi-purpose attachment works beautifully for making fresh salsa and salad dressings. The shredding disc shreds carrots and hard veggies, but it doesn't shred cheese. The cheese balls up in the top and I have to dig it out with a knife. Good thing I kept my old Cuisinart! Kitchenaid needs to do a major overhaul on this one.

    Loving it! Review by

I have used this several times over the past couple months that I have had it and it has performed great! It cleans up easily (who doesn't love that?). I am finding there are a few kitchen gadgets/appliances that I can get rid of because this does what they do and more. So more cabinet space too!

    Great customer service Review by

Although your customer service is great I don't think I will ever buy another Kitchenaid product. This is the second Kitchenaid product I have owned and I have had problems with both. You have already replaced my food processor once because the adjustable blade was not working properly and the one I have now will not even mix a simple batch of biscuits without quitting It just doesn't seem to have enough power. Sorry but I would not recommend this product to anyone. I'm very unhappy.

Works effectively, quietly and consistently Review by

I've been using a tiny 3 cup food processor and received this processor as a birthday gift. It works quietly and I love the shredding blades. Only thing I would change is that the buttons on the machine are very hard to push. Combine that with how light weight the machine is, when I push the buttons I end up sliding the machine instead of turning it on.

    Super Food Processor Review by

My husband bought this for me to replace an aging one. It's a Christmas present given early to help with the party cooking. It's working just great and very helpful with all the tasks I have this time of year.

    Dissapointment Review by

I have had this unit for about a year, and desperately want something different. The slecta size slice feature is horrible. On the thinnest setting, you get a wide variety of thicknesses. Trying to make potato chips, some will be very thin, some will be decently thick. This feature really is horrible, I would be happy if I could get a thin slice disc to replace the adjustable junk. Also, I grate a decent amount of cheese, but for some reason, no matter how lightly I press the cheese into the disc, it likes to overload, and shut down the machine. Soft and hard cheeses do the same thing, for a pound and a half of cheese, being as gentle as I can it will usually shut down at least 2 to 3 times. Then, the metal chopping blade stopped working. I never thought I would see that happen, but apparently the middle of the blade that connects to the shaft of the motor is a seperate piece, and broke, or stripped. I had to throw it away because it will no longer process anything, it makes a weird screeching sound, and doesn't spin. I know it's not the motor doing that because every other attachment works until the machine shuts down with no screeching. Also when gripping the center of the large chopper with a pair of pliars, the blade was able to be turned around it without too much difficulty. I still use this machine for now, however I look forward to the day I can replace it. $200 and I think I would have been better off with a $75 walmart special.
