    Great Grinder! Review by

I don't drink coffee, I got this to grind herbs and spices. It makes short work of pepper, mustard, etc. If you want the freshest flavor, you need one of these. Make just what you need for dinner or grind a week or two's worth of your most used spices.

I love this grinder! Review by

I have had one of these grinders for coffee for years and finally got a second one just for spices. I have tried a couple of others, but they are just not as easy to use. They might cost a bit more, but they are worth it. You can see into the cup to grind to your desired amount. It's easy to clean and small when storing.

Beware the per cup markings Review by

Just got a BCG1110B a few days ago. We replaced the coffee pot at the same time. It took me a few days to check the fill lines and compare them to what it says in the user manual. I found that the 12 cup mark is 18 tablespoons, not 14 as it says in the manual. In fact all of the lines are for a number of tablespoons equal to 1.5 x number of cups. (I checked with several measuring device) Also note that the 8 to 10 distance and 10 to 12 distance are both one cm so it is unlikely the volume differences would be 3 and 2 tbsp. Anyway, it is easy to adjust, and I like being able to pour the coffee into grinder rather than count coffee scoops. Just beware, and perhaps the user manual can be updated or the markings on the grinder corrected in the next redesign.

Don't let the name fool ya! Review by

I suppose that you could use this to grind a fresh batch of coffee everyday, but this device's ability to grind hard herbs and spices is what I use it for. Everyone knows that herbs and spices last MUCH longer in a natural, unground state. This grinder is perfect for preparing a few weeks worth of FRESH flavor. I absolutely love it!

Fresh Coffee Just How You Like It Review by

I received this as a Christmas gift this year and I love it! The best thing about this grinder is that you completely control the size of your ground coffee. With other coffee grinders I've used, you put a specific setting before putting in the beans and then if it's not perfect you can't re-grind. With the clear lid you can easily watch the grinding process and start and stop when it reaches your desired thickness. I personally prefer super fine grounds (Turkish coffee level which is finer than espresso) which typically isn't an option on most other grinders. With this grinder I just for an additional 10 seconds and it is perfect. Not to mention, coffee that was ground 5 minutes before you brew it is just delicious. This appliance grinds quickly and evenly :)

Stopped Working after Just Under Two Dozen Uses Review by

Bought this grinder just after Thanksgiving in 2015. This unit has been used less than two dozen times to grind spices and coffee only. Today I went to grind coffee and the grinder does not work. The motor runs but the blade does not turn. Upon further inspection as to why the grinder is not working, I found that the cheap rubber material teeth that contact the METAL bar that fits between them to turn the blade to grind have worn off and will not maintain contact with the bar. If I could've rated this unit with zero stars I would have mImam quite disappointed that the unit, at this price point, only lasted a year and is just outside the manufacturers' warranty. Sadly Kitchenaid used to sell quality large and small appliances it appears from this experience that is no longer the case.

    Great appliance, but... Review by

Best grinder I've ever used. As a guy who really needs to measure any items relating to food, the cup tick marks on the bowl are much appreciated and have delivered accurate measurements to assure good coffee reliably. But... the plastic at the base of the steel bowl has broken twice now, for 2 different users (wife and I) with no rough handling. The first time I was able to superglue the piece back on and that worked fine. Today the plastic broke at an entirely different spot and into many pieces. I'll replace the part and keep using the grinder, but it's a disappointing weak spot apparently. Hence only 4 stars.

Great buy for the money! Review by

Just used my new blade grinder this morning for the first time, and I'm happy that I purchased it! While this isn't a $400 burr grinder at all, I'm impressed for the price point! If you carefully watch what you're doing with it, you can actually get a good grind with it. Seems to have plenty of power with a full grinding cup, but I've found that I get better consistency with about half of a load. I just had to experiment a little with it.

Was a good, solid grinder, until ... Review by

This grinder seems much more solid than a similar model by Cuisinart. However, after using for about four months the base of the grinder cup suddenly failed where the base clips into the motor housing. All of the clip inserts broke off the cup base meaning that only the lid was left holding the cup down onto the motor gear. Not sure if we will replace the unit or just go with a different brand.

    Love it but..... Review by

I have had several different coffee grinders but I have to say I love this one the best, or at least I did until the base of the stainless coffee bowl lost a piece when I was attaching it. I have had this grinder for about 4 years. I love how fast it is, noise level is acceptable, and cleanup a breeze. However, when I went to attach the bowl to the base a piece of plastic that helps secure the bowl for grinding broke out. I would like to replace the bowl but can't find where to get one. Help!

Quit working after about 6 uses! Review by

While I loved it when it was working, we've only used it maybe 6 times as a spice grinder when we're making sausages. It doesn't have build up of coffee like I saw some people say online that might prevent it from working. It hums, but the blade isn't turning (from the base) and I'm totally bummed that it quit working after so few uses AND I can't really find how to fix it online!

Not powerful and leaks - wet and dry Review by

This grinder is not powerful enough. My main complaint would be that there is spillage, when I dry grind spices, the powder is all over, most of it stays in, but there is quite a bit that spills out. Wet grinding, for one it takes very long as the motor is not powerful and if it finally does end up giving a half-way decent product, it has leaked all over, so cleanup is a mess. Bought it to save time but end up spending more time to clean and grind. Big disappointment.

    Almost perfect Review by

I primarily grind spices and got this with the two extra grinding cups for this purpose. They are smaller than the coffee grinding cup which makes sense. They come with plastic lids which are to be used while grinding to keep the contents from blowing out, a fine feature, but they are not snug enough to keep dust from escaping into the chamber, so there is some cleanup needed. Even so, it has the power and size that I wanted.

    Great Power Review by

I had the older version and it has given me years of dependable service. I wanted the new model so I could use the spice grinder attachment. I love it. I always use sea salt and grinding enough to measure into recipes or salt meat was a real chore. My new Kitchenaid grinder now makes short work of that tedious task. When you couple ease of use with dishwasher safe you have a winner. The coffee grinder also makes short work of grinding my coffee to just the right grind. My sister has another brand grinder and it just doesn't have the power of my Kitchenaid. My only negative comment is that the logo printed on the grinder is different from my other Kitchenaid appliances. It is black print. Now my next problem - to whom do I pass my old grinder. One truly does buy Kitchenaid for a lifetime of use.

Grinder Works Like A Dream the Toaster is A Nightmare Review by

We bought the blade coffee grinder to replace our grinder of 15 years. We enjoy the style, power and capacity for holding a boat-load of coffee beans. It is unfortunate that our four-slice toaster was not designed as well. The lever on the right is so hard to push down that the lever knobs break from the strain. I am disappointed that KitchenAid has not responded to my inquiry on the design flaw. I would think a reputable company would want to make things right.

Great grind for auto-drip. I haven't used it for espresso, but the grind looks fine and uniform enough to do so. The coffee under the blade tends to stick, so I swirl the butt end of a toothbrush around and it's all good. We'll see how it lasts with a pot a day.

Broken bottom on grinding cup. Review by

This would be a great grinder if there wasn't so much cheap plastic stuff on it. When you open the box it feels heavy and you'd think with a name like Kitchen Aid that was once synonymous with quality that it would last lifetimes, just like their mixers do. Alas, I've had this thing for less than a year and the plastic base/cup that screws the grinding cup onto the motor base has chipped off and fallen apart. I'm a pretty gentle user, and I only grind coffee maybe once a week, so it's not like it's undergoing heavy use here. Now the grinding cup can't be secured to the motor and this thing is little more than a loud expensive paperweight just taking up space in my kitchen. I am really disappointed with Kitchen Aid on this one.

Powerful, Easy to use. Review by

I have had other cheaper grinders that did not work half as well as this one, Powerful motor and blade design make for fast and fine grinding of spices. The best features: easy to use with one hand, and the bowl is 100% stainless steel and not half plastic and it is removable which makes it easy to empty and wash. This is my second Kitchen-Aid Blade Coffee/Spice Grinder. Most of my kitchen appliances are Kitchen-Aid because they are dependable. I had to purchase a new stand mixer last (2013) because my old one finally died,it was still young, only 43 years old and used three times per week average every week and five to seven days per week and up to five or six times per day during the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays and it never failed once when in use. Than it got old and died. HA HA. Great products, very reliable.

    Compact and Mighty Review by

Kitchenaid Blade Coffee Grinder is a breeze to use. Very fast, easy to use and clear top allows you to visually grind coffee to your desired coarseness. Once coffee is ground the holder is removable so it makes dumping coffee grinds into a holder, jar or coffee filter easy, this feature also makes it easy to clean if you are using it to grind different flavored beans. The grinder is small so it doesn't take up a lot of counter space and very powerful so it doesn't take long to get a consistent grind.

    blade coffee grinder Review by

I bought this grinder by mistake thinking I had a different one in my hand, when i got home and opened my shopping bag I was surprised but decided to give it a try. I am so glad for that mistake, it grinds just like i want it to, the bonus is that the stainless steel cup inside comes out which makes for easy cleaning.

Best in this Style Review by

I've had great success with Kitchenaid products over a lifetime, so when I needed to replace my old coffee grinder, I decided to spend a little extra and avoid the cheaper traditional units. Wow! Every part of this machine lives up to the Kitchenaid design ? it's as though the team that designed this actually used other grinders to see what needed to be improved. Great job! Just one thing; you have to read and follow the instructions. Although it's a coffee mill, it works quite differently; no pulsing, for one thing. Read the tips, rinse it out every day, and you'll love this machine.

Very simple but effective Review by

Overall there are more pro's than con's about this product. It it stainless steel except for the lid, it's mostly plastic. I wish it had an option as to how you want it ground (course, fine etc.) but that is not a big deal. It's sturdy, easy to clean, semi quiet (not nearly as loud as a cheaper coffee grinder I had) affordable and effective.

    Sleek Satisfaction !! Review by

Sent my original Kitchenaid Coffee Grinder to Afghanistan .. where my son was serving with our U.S. Army back in 2011. My son decided to leave the grinder with the soldiers who were replacing his unit (and there it remains .. on duty .. as we speak).

    Solid machine Review by

Bought this to replace another brand at our main house that broke and is no longer available. We have had it for a few months. Really like the removable cup and the measurement markings on its side. I find that we have to grind the beans a little longer than we did with either of the other blade grinders (Braun and Krups) we have used. Not a big deal, but a bit surprised. With all three of them, we use a small bristle brush to help remove all of the grounds, particularly if the beans are oily.

Bought it for the Brand Review by

This is the third coffee grinder we have owned. It was the only one at the store the morning our old one broke, I didn't have much choice, but it has proven to be worthy. KitchenAid is a brand I trust.

    Great Grinder Review by

This is a great grinder. I have not had any trouble using or cleaning it. I grind for one second less than the recommended time, and my coffee comes out perfect for use in my Keurig with the MyKCup.

I love this grinder! Review by

I use it for grinding spices to add to my coffee. It always does the job easily and well. It comes apart in a unique way for easy cleaning. I went through several wimpy, cheaply made grinders before I found this one. I should have look for Kitchen Aid first. Kitchen Aid devices are always solidly made, do the job wel,l and last for years.

    Love this grinder Review by

Tried this at our daughter's house and loved it so had to get one for our house. Love that you can remove the grinder cup when done to pour the coffee into a container. It looks great, feels great. A must have!

    Quality Review by

I am very pleased with my coffee grinder. Had a Sunbeam previously and was never happy with the quality of the grind. The Kitchenaid is easy to use and gives me a consistent grind every time.

Relatively silent and convenient Review by

Love this grinder. I use it to grind spices. Like the relative quietness compared to my earlier grinder which was very noisy. Also like the removable metal chamber. Makes it easy to clean and can be put in the dishwasher. The grinder looks elegant and colorful.

Starting breaking after a few uses Review by

This coffee grinder has a plastic piece on the bottom of the stainless steel bowl. After only a month or two of using it there were pieces breaking off this black plastic piece at the bottom of the bowl. I can barely use it anymore, and would never buy this coffee grinder again. I thought buying Kitchen Aid I was getting a good product, much to my dismay. Like I said, I would never buy it again.

    Enjoyable to use. Review by

I now have fresh, full bodied brewed coffee with great aroma and flavor thanks to my new KitchenAid Blade Coffee Grinder. The ease of use and performance grinds coffee beans quickly. An extra bonus is the style and color! It matches my KitchenAid Mixer, and both together brighten my kitchen.

    Great grinder! Review by

I've had this grinder for about 9 months now. I use it almost every day, and it's still going strong! It works great. I like strong coffee, so it's great that it has a higher capacity than most other grinders I've used in the past. I can grind enough beans for a nice, strong pot of coffee in one shot! The only thing that I'm not crazy about is that some of the ground coffee gets stuck in the bottom, below the level of the blade. It's not hard to remove it or anything, just use a spoon or something to loosen it. But it would be just about perfect if all of the ground coffee came out without any getting stuck. Even so, I would still recommend this coffee grinder. I've been through a few of them, and this one is the best I've tried so far!

    Great Product! Review by

I LOVE my Kitchenaid coffee grinder! It is the same great qulity, as all my other KitchenAid products, it does a great job! I like to grind my coffee to a very fine grind, but you can stop grinding, at any grind you like. Fresh ground coffee, brewed in my KitchenAid coffee pot, is wonderful! I love the quality of KitchenAid !
