      • What is the difference in watts between ka pro 600 and this model. I see one says 575 watts and this one says 1.3 hp.

      • whats the difference between model
        KSM7586PFP-1A and Model KSM7581MS
      • Both mixers were Pro Line KSM7581MS ( Medallion Silver) which was a Williams Sononma Exclusive but kitchenAid no longer makes this unit. They only make the KSM7586PFP ( Frosted Pearl) now.

    • From Jack at 11/19/13 10:03 PM
      • Does this mixer have a metal gear case and metal gears? Also, in an answer to Jorge's question, it says that the mixer has a 500W 1.3 HP motor . Something wrong here. 1 HP = >700 Watts. Could you clarify these specifications?
      • Yes this mixer does have all metal gears and a all metal case. According to KitchenAid they have only Horse power rating for this unit as it is a DC motor and wattage rating does not work for tis type of motor.

      • I'm upgrading from the Artisan model. I have all attachments for that one. Will the attachments work with this model?
      • The attachments that you have for your Artisan Kitchen Aid Mixer such as wire whip, dough hook, flat beaters and bowls will NOT be compatible with the Kitchen Aid Pro Line 7 Quart Mixers. If you have any of the Kitchen Aid attachments that hook into the front port on your mixer such as meat grinder, slicer, pasta press, etc....those attachments are universal to all Kitchen Aid Mixers.

kitchenaid 7 qt fantastic mixer! Review by

I chose this over the 5 or 6 qt for the motor size and 5 year warranty. It handles all the heavy batters and doughs flawlessly. There is a 5 qt bowl available AND the 3 qt combi whip fits too!! great for smaller batches! (Posted on 6/21/16)

Well Up to The Task Review by

In my early years I was a Union baker and performed all the jobs regarding the production of bread, buns and rolls, including sponge mixer, final mixer, panner, running the machine that placed the loaves in the pans, proof box operator, oven man, bread slicer, you name it, I did it, so I have a history in baking and know professional equipment

When I decided to invest in a stand mixer I researched commercial equipment for small scale use as well this stand mixer, strictly for use in my home kitchen. When it came right down to it, this 7 quart stand mixer won out on every consideration including price, attractiveness, and especially, would it be up to the task as I do tend to mix large loads of cookies, breads, I even make multiple pies at once

I've had this mixer for several years and it hasn't missed a beat. The only attachment it came with and I don't use is the pouring shield. I don't see a need for it. As long as you add the correct amounts of flour and or sugar (including powdered) and use the right speed, you wont have flour or sugar dust flying around. Besides, a little bit of flour on and around the mixer is part of the charm for this type of machine. It's a tool, meant to be used and it performs all of it's jobs well. I couldn't be any happier (Posted on 2/8/16)

    love my mixer Review by

I purchased this mixer 1/26/2015, so I'm slow writing a review. It's time I (get around) write my comments. I love, love, love my mixer. I waited a long time before feeling ok about paying so much for a mixer, but I couldn't be happier with a purchase. This is perfect for making rolls I usually use 5 lbs of flour. In the 6 months I've had my mixer, using it quite often, I've never been disappointed in it. It cleans up easy The only problem I'm having is I'm baking a lot more and you know what that does for the waist line. (Posted on 6/15/15)

This is my third kitchenaid since the early sixties...best so far! Review by

My mother had a home bakery when I was a child and had a 325 watt Kitchenaid which supported her needs for 17 years. I took it over and used it in my own deli after it had been in storage for a number of years. It finally died in late 2002 or so. I purchased a 6 qt and ran the devil out of it till this year. It needed gear repair but I decided to treat myself and buy a brand new 7 qt. I ordered the thing on the 12 of March and it arrived yesterday...I feel like a kid with a new toy! I can't remember a kitchen appliance I looked forward to as much as this one...PLUS it's a beautiful counter decoration! (Posted on 3/19/15)
