    Customer Questions

Questions on KitchenAid Bowl Lift Mixer - KSM7586P

      • Q:  What is the difference in watts between ka pro 600 and this model. I see one says 575 watts and this one says 1.3 hp.
      • A:  The Pro 600 has 575 Watts .9HP AC Motor and the 7qt has 500 Watts 1.3HP high efficiency DC motor.
      • Q:  whats the difference between model
        KSM7586PFP-1A and Model KSM7581MS
      • A:  Both mixers were Pro Line KSM7581MS ( Medallion Silver) which was a Williams Sononma Exclusive but kitchenAid no longer makes this unit. They only make the KSM7586PFP ( Frosted Pearl) now.
      • Q:  Does this mixer have a metal gear case and metal gears? Also, in an answer to Jorge's question, it says that the mixer has a 500W 1.3 HP motor . Something wrong here. 1 HP = >700 Watts. Could you clarify these specifications?
      • A:  Yes this mixer does have all metal gears and a all metal case. According to KitchenAid they have only Horse power rating for this unit as it is a DC motor and wattage rating does not work for tis type of motor.
      • Q:  I'm upgrading from the Artisan model. I have all attachments for that one. Will the attachments work with this model?
      • A:  The attachments that you have for your Artisan Kitchen Aid Mixer such as wire whip, dough hook, flat beaters and bowls will NOT be compatible with the Kitchen Aid Pro Line 7 Quart Mixers. If you have any of the Kitchen Aid attachments that hook into the front port on your mixer such as meat grinder, slicer, pasta press, etc....those attachments are universal to all Kitchen Aid Mixers.
      • Q:  What's the difference between the KSM7586PFP-1A and the KSM7586PCA? Is the PCA version noted here on sale?
      • A:  Jeanne, there is no difference. We group products to make it convenient and easier to shop. KSM7586PCA is the individual product.
      • Q:  Is this brand new, in a sealed box, with full warranty (not refurbished, blemished, returns, 2nd's, open box, used, etc....)? The KA website has a 5 yr limited warranty for the KSM7586P mixers, and this web page lists a 1 yr warranty - please elaborate.
      • A:  Hello!

Thank you for reaching out to us with your inquiry regarding the KitchenAid 7 Quart Proline Stand Mixer!

Yes, the KitchenAid 7 Quart Proline Stand Mixer has 5 year warranty with KitchenAid. I do not see any warranty information listed on this particular, so we will definitely have this updated to show that there is a 5 year warranty in place. Also, all products that we sell on our website are brand new. We purchase these mixers with KitchenAid directly to receive in our warehouse and ship to customers.

        Have a great day!

        Thank you,

        Everything Kitchens
      • Q:  Will the 5Q stainless mixing bowl (J hook) fit this 7Q stand mixer? If yes, is there a need for a different set of flat beater, wire whisk and dough beater?
      • A:  Hello!!

Yes! The 5qt mixing bowl can be used with the KitchenAid 7 Quart Proline Stand Mixer! The item number for the KitchenAid 5 Qt Commercial Mixer Bowl, is KSMC5QBOWL. You can also use the same flat beater, dough hook, and wire whisk that came with the 7qt mixer, to use in the smaller bowl!

I hope this answers your questions! If you have any other questions, do not hesitate to ask!

        Have a wonderful day!

        Everything Kitchens
      • Q:  will the bowl, flat beater, dough hook, and wire wisk from the pro 6qt fit the 7 qt?
      • A:  Hello James

Unfortunately, the bowl, flat beater, dough hook and wire whisk that comes with the KitchenAid 6qt Professional 600 mixer, will not fit the KitchenAid 7 Quart Proline Stand Mixer. These beaters and accessories are not universal. These beaters and bowl are designed to fit the 6qt mixers only. Any attachment that will fit on the attachment hub, located at the top of the mixer, is universal and will fit all model mixers.

I hope this answers your question! Hope you have a great day James!

      • Q:  Hello,

I would like to order the KitchenAid 7 quart Proline stand mixer in the Sugar Pearl color but in one of your consumer questions, you state that only the Frosted Pearl is now available. Which is it?

        I quote:
Both mixers were Pro Line KSM7581MS ( Medallion Silver) which was a Williams Sononma Exclusive but kitchenAid no longer makes this unit. They only make the KSM7586PFP ( Frosted Pearl) now.

      • A:  Hello Roger,

The KitchenAid 7 Quart Proline Stand Mixer in Medallion Silver is no longer available, which is what the previous customer was inquiring about. We have the 4 colors available in the 7qt Proline Mixers, Sugar Pearl, Frosted Pearl, Candy Apple Red, and Onyx Black. I can see why that answer would be confusing. I can assure you that we have all 4 colors available, not just the Frosted Pearl.

I hope this answers your question! Hope you have a great day Roger!

        Thank you,

      • Q:  Can you provide the:
KitchenAid® Pro Line® Copper Stand Mixer, 7 Qt
If so, what would the price be?
      • A:  Hello Clint,

Thank you for your interest in the KitchenAid 7 Quart Proline Stand Mixer.

That model currently only comes in the Candy Apple Red, Sugar Pearl, Frosted Pearl, & Onyx Black.

        Happy Holidays,

        Everything Kitchens

      • Q:  I read that the beater/attachment height on the 6 qt pro model is adjustable so can be calibrated to be sure all ingredients get mixed into the dough. Is the same true of the 7 qt model?
      • A:  Hello Erin!

We appreciate you reaching out to us regarding the KitchenAid 7 Quart Proline Mixer.

All mixers have a beater to bowl clearance, so yes, the mixer may need to be calibrated to ensure that all ingredients are being mixed in. There are instructions within the manual on how to calibrate. If the beater hits the bowl, or is too high, then it is possible that the items may not mix correctly. You may view the manual by visiting:

I hope this helps. Have a wonderful day Erin!

      • Q:  I am somewhat confused. I have the Artisan 6 qt and all I want is a larger mixer like I have, will this fit the bill?
      • A:  Ann,

Definitely! The KitchenAid 7 Quart Proline Stand Mixer is larger and slightly more powerful. This stand mixer has 1.3 horsepower and includes the classic features of a KitchenAid Artisan, such as the elliptical wire, wide beater, dough hook, and pouring shield.

        We hope this helps!

      • Q:  I have just purchased the Kitchenaid 7qt pro line mixer, KSM7586P, and want to know what 5 qt bowl will work with it and if the 7qt accessories will work with the 5 qt bowl.
also, will the 3qt bowl with wire whip work with the 7qt mixer.
you also sell the stainless steel spiral dough hook and paddle, will these work with the 7qt bowl for my mixer.
      • A:  Hello Geoff,

We appreciate you reaching out to us with your inquiry!

Congratulations on our new mixer! The correct 5qt bowl that can be used with the KitchenAid 7 Quart Proline Stand Mixer is the, KitchenAid 5 Qt Commercial Mixer Bowl. item # KSMC5QBOWL. When using the 5 Qt Commercial Mixer Bowl, you can still use the flat beater, wire whisk, and dough hook that came with your Proline mixer with the bowl. Unfortunately, the KitchenAid 3 Quart Stainless Steel Bowl and Combi Whip for 6 Quart Mixers will only fit the KV25G and KP26M1X models, and will not work with the 7 quart Proline mixer. The stainless steel dough hook and flat beater will work with your mixer as well!!

Hope this helps! Enjoy your day and Happy Holidays!

Great Mixer with lots of power Review by

I received My proline Kitchen aid mixer today
I have made six loaves of bread three at a time and each batch was kneaded within 4 minutes, and it never missed a lick. great power, the last batch was raisin bread which is a very heavy dough and it did great. I love my mixer! and would definitely recommend if you have a large family and make a lot of bread, buy the proline it comes with 5-year warranty and is tough like the commercial grade. (Posted on 3/12/19)

So glad I made this investment!! Review by

I am not new to baking but this is my first stand mixer. I never really thought I "needed" one, but my husband and my sister and niece talked me into it. I opted for the Pro Line 7 qt. because I wanted to be sure I got one that could handle bread dough along with everything else. I was also impressed with the 5 year warranty. I also ordered a 5 qt bowl for smaller projects---works great!! Stephanie with Everything Kitchens customer service was very helpful and suggested the 5 qt bowl--great idea. The 7 qt bowl with the dough hook kneads whole wheat bread dough like a charm, the smaller bowl with the flat beater worked perfectly for a small batch of cookies and for the best pie crust I have ever made (thanks to Flourish for the tutorial). I chose the Sugar Pearl and it is BEAUTIFUL!! I am totally thrilled with the excellent quality of this mixer. (Posted on 6/25/17)

    Great machine! Review by

Love this machine, works great and looks great. Much quieter than my old one (also a Kitchen Aid Pro Line, but quite old). (Posted on 3/26/17)

Best purchase I've made in years! Review by

Replaced my 5 qt. Artisan mixer (purchased in march 2004), that never gave me any problems, with the 7 qt. pro-line. This mixer handles the small amounts better than I could have imagined, no need to keep my artisan now, except I love that little mixer. The pro-line is so much quieter than the artisan that it surprised me, no more yelling when the mixer is running. The wife and I made choc. chip cookies using appr. 11 cups of flour and this mixer could have handled quite a bit more.I make a lot of pasta and if you have experience with pasta doe, you know that the doe is VERY stiff, especially if your using the pasta press. My 5 qt. artisan could only handle the smaller amounts of doe. Not so with the pro-line! It takes a little while to get used to watching this thing hesitate under large loads, but it powers right thru as it seems it only puts the power to the bowl when it is needed. I could not be happier with this mixer. Oh by the way, I purchased the 7 qt. Pro-Line in Candy apple Red because I wanted it to be noticed, and everyone who has seen it on the counter(everyone who's been in the kitchen) has to look and comment, all positive so far. Only issue, or non issue, depending on the person, Kitchen-aid packed the wrong or defective dough hook. I called Everything Kitchens and they contacted Kitchen-aid and I had the correct hook in just a few days, no questions asked, very helpful. Happier and more pleased than I could have imagined, and I expected A LOT... Exceeded my wildest expectations!!! Thanks to Everything Kitchens and to Kitchen aid. (Posted on 2/14/17)

KitchenAid 7 Quart Proline beats expectations Review by

So far this mixer exceeds my expectations. I purchased this 7 quart mixer mainly for the increased power and capacity. I was pleased to find that the bowl position can be adjusted up and down with the slightest turn of a screw on the bowl lift slider. This is a fantastic thing for KitchenAid to allow the customer access too. If a minor adjustment is necessary to ensure the contents at the bottom of the bowl do not fail to become incorporated with the rest of the contents of the bowl it just takes a very slight turn of a screw. I do need to note that my mixer came perfectly adjusted. Many reviews I read prior to purchase claimed the mixer did not incorporate the contents in the bottom of the bowl, but I have not experienced this, and it is possible that those reviewers failed to read that part of the manual. Another complaint I have read about is that the more powerful motor is louder than other models, and that it makes a clicking noise. I have not experienced either of those complaints. In my opinion, this mixer is somewhat louder than the artisan, but with a more powerful motor I expected it to be slightly louder.

So far I have made 4 double batches of cookies, divinity candy, pie crust, and a few loaves of bread. I wanted the more powerful motor to be able to make bread easily, and the larger bowl to make double batches of cookies with room to spare. This mixer worked flawlessly with everything I have thrown at it so far. With my artisan mixer making divinity pushes its limits, and mixer visually and audibly struggles. Making the divinity using the same recipe in the 7 quart mixer was like child's play. Based on my experience with the mixer thus far, and based on the things I have made with it so far I have given it 5 stars, and I would highly recommend this mixer to anyone needing a larger capacity bowl and more powerful motor. (Posted on 12/27/16)

    Wow! Review by

This is my third kitchenaid stand mixer. I have debated aand debated buying this just for the fact my 6 qt 600 Pro had nothing the matter with it! BUT I finally conceded and bought this and have no regrets!! (Sold my other one of 7 years) I have literally used it since I've gotten it. The motor is quiet and never bogs down. Love the coated beaters and the whip is very heavy duty! Not as flimsy as the other ones, this is well worth the money and you will not regret forking out the money, I'm an avid baker from scratch. The candy apple red color is the bomb!!! (Posted on 12/11/16)

kitchenaid 7 qt fantastic mixer! Review by

I chose this over the 5 or 6 qt for the motor size and 5 year warranty. It handles all the heavy batters and doughs flawlessly. There is a 5 qt bowl available AND the 3 qt combi whip fits too!! great for smaller batches! (Posted on 6/21/16)

Well Up to The Task Review by

In my early years I was a Union baker and performed all the jobs regarding the production of bread, buns and rolls, including sponge mixer, final mixer, panner, running the machine that placed the loaves in the pans, proof box operator, oven man, bread slicer, you name it, I did it, so I have a history in baking and know professional equipment

When I decided to invest in a stand mixer I researched commercial equipment for small scale use as well this stand mixer, strictly for use in my home kitchen. When it came right down to it, this 7 quart stand mixer won out on every consideration including price, attractiveness, and especially, would it be up to the task as I do tend to mix large loads of cookies, breads, I even make multiple pies at once

I've had this mixer for several years and it hasn't missed a beat. The only attachment it came with and I don't use is the pouring shield. I don't see a need for it. As long as you add the correct amounts of flour and or sugar (including powdered) and use the right speed, you wont have flour or sugar dust flying around. Besides, a little bit of flour on and around the mixer is part of the charm for this type of machine. It's a tool, meant to be used and it performs all of it's jobs well. I couldn't be any happier (Posted on 2/8/16)

    love my mixer Review by

I purchased this mixer 1/26/2015, so I'm slow writing a review. It's time I (get around) write my comments. I love, love, love my mixer. I waited a long time before feeling ok about paying so much for a mixer, but I couldn't be happier with a purchase. This is perfect for making rolls I usually use 5 lbs of flour. In the 6 months I've had my mixer, using it quite often, I've never been disappointed in it. It cleans up easy The only problem I'm having is I'm baking a lot more and you know what that does for the waist line. (Posted on 6/15/15)

This is my third kitchenaid since the early sixties...best so far! Review by

My mother had a home bakery when I was a child and had a 325 watt Kitchenaid which supported her needs for 17 years. I took it over and used it in my own deli after it had been in storage for a number of years. It finally died in late 2002 or so. I purchased a 6 qt and ran the devil out of it till this year. It needed gear repair but I decided to treat myself and buy a brand new 7 qt. I ordered the thing on the 12 of March and it arrived yesterday...I feel like a kid with a new toy! I can't remember a kitchen appliance I looked forward to as much as this one...PLUS it's a beautiful counter decoration! (Posted on 3/19/15)
