KitchenAid Slow Juicer - Maximum Extraction

Quickly extract fresh, flavorful, nutrient-rich juice with the KitchenAid Maximum Extraction juicer! The patented two-blade extraction system efficiently juices fruits and vegetables while being quieter than other centrifugal juicing systems. Preparation time is reduced as the KitchenAid juicer accommodates larger cuts of fruits and vegetables with the wide mouth feed chute. Juice consistency is easily selectable with the included filter screens; a low pulp screen filter extracts the smoothest of juices while the high pulp and sauce screens maintain some fine fruit and vegetable extract.

KitchenAid has also included a storage tote to conveniently house the three pulp screen filters. A specially designed cleaning brush is provided to aid in cleaning the screen filters and narrow spouts and keep the juicer free of unwanted debris. All of the attachments and containers are top rack dishwasher safe and simply assemble for storage or ready to juice again. KitchenAid performs quietly and efficiently to extract the most nutritious juice to support a healthy body and lifestyle.

Ex: Low yield compared to centrifugal juicer Review by

I have been using a centrifugal juicer and decided to upgrade to an auger-press style juicer after doing research and believing I would get more juice from this more powerful, more expensive design. The KitchenAid is very quality built. It is a lot heavier than my centrifugal juicer, and wow does it have A LOT more parts! I set the 2 juicers up side-by-side and juiced 2 apples and 2 carrots in each, weighing the fruit ahead of time to make sure I was making a fair comparison. The less expensive juicer made 2-1/2 times the juice (5 oz) compared to the KitchenAid which made 2 oz of juice. The pulp from the centrifugal juicer was dry and lightweight. The KitchenAid pulp was heavy and chunky - clearly still containing quite a lot moisture. Summary: I don't recommend the KitchenAid for the following reasons: - low juice yield; wastes a lot of the fruit and vegetables - expensive initial cost to purchase - hard to clean - incomplete instructions for setting up and using the juicer (seriously incomplete) - many, many pieces to the unit - pulp chute overflows the sides of the chute and misses the collection jar (seriously design engineers??) - large volume of wet pulp left over (wasty!!!)

Like mst things; dislike a few Review by

I bought this to replace a Jack Lalanne juicer when its motor seized. I would never pay its original price but it was on a clearance sale, reduced by $150. I generally like KitchenAid products and figured it would be well made. It was certainly heavy enough! I lugged it home and set it up...and couldn't get it to work. I don't know how many times I took it apart and put it back together but eventually it came on. I have no idea what I did differently but I do think a better indication of what to do with the rubber gasket on the bottom would be helpful. What I like best is that it takes up a lot less room on the counter than my old product, making me more inclined to use it; the second best feature also makes me more inclined to use it which is that that all parts are dishwasher-safe..which is a good thing since teeny-tiny food parts get stuck in small crevices on the slicing blade. It is very quiet when in operation, and I like the notion of options for differing pulp amounts. Not sure I will use them however. I don't think it produces the amount of juice that my old juicer did (even if a lot of that was, perhaps, foam and pulp); and it seems that I always have some large slices left of whatever went in last which don't get moved down the grinder-thingy. Yesterday I juiced 5-6 very large carrots and had a pound of pulp left (and about 6 ounces of juice). That seemed like a lot to send to the compost heap so I made a carrot cake with it. That leads me to my biggest complaint: the amount of pulp left seems quite wasteful. Fortunately I have a large garden and produce is plentiful. Maybe KitchenAid should start a recipe section on what to do with pulp leftovers. So far I have come up with cake additions, dog cookie ingredients, and pasta sauce additions.

Very slow juicer, not easy to clean Review by

this machine is too slow working and too complex to clean. we very much doubt that there is a different in the quality of the juice, compared to normal juicers. will go back to a normal juicer

    Highly Recommended Review by

I've been using this juicer just about every day since I purchased it last November. Juicers, in general, are tricky, complicated appliances to use but KitchenAid has done a great job of focusing on usability and maintenance. For a start, the juicer is heavy so it holds its place on the counter and doesn't move around even when juicing hard produce. I also like that it looks like a beverage dispenser and dispenses downward with a convenient (and apparently totally unique) drip tray that confines any dripping and makes it easy to clean. I've sampled juice from other juicers and there is something about this juicer - maybe it's (another) unique feature of the gentle slicing blade that sits above the auger? I don't know - but the juice it makes is rich flavour and consistency. It looks great on the counter as well. I have the Medallion Silver which sits discreetly next to the stainless steel sink; the chrome elements on the juicer really pop. You can juice anything with this juicer including greens but, as with any appliance, you would do well to read the short manual before use to get the best results.

Easy to use and makes excellent juice Review by

Had a chance to demo the juicer for about 8 weeks. Used it about 50 times and never was I disappointed. The juice quality, taste and texture was unlike any other I have I have experienced. My favorite was the High Pulp Screen andI loved the option of making sauces.

Easy to Use, Quiet & Yields a lot of Juice Review by

Great Juicer! It's narrow, sleek design makes it easy to add this appliance to your countertop. The juicer itself is extremely efficient. It slices each piece of product quickly and extracts a high volume of juice. In addition it is extremely fast and easy to clean. Lastly one of my favorite features are that this machine is quiet as a mouse.

Doesn't work - AVOID Review by

delivers less than 1/3 of the juice than my existing (considerably cheaper) juicer. The juicer becomes blocked and doesn't extract the pulp. Really so far below par for any manufacturer especially Kichenaid!!!!!!

poor design and exceptionally fiddly to put together Review by

Just purchased the Kitchen aid juicer, and I am returning it straight back to the store. very fiddly to put together and didn't cope at all with celery, spinach and apples. got blocked and jammed straight away and the blade was very sharp and awkward to remove
