Questions on KitchenAid Bowl Lift Mixer - KSM7586PFP

      • Q:  hi is this mixer made in the u s a ? thanks
      • A:  The Kitchen Aid Proline 7 Quart Mixer is assembled in the U.S. with foreign components.
      • Q:  Is there a 7 qt. Glass Mixing Bowl available for this Model?
      • A:  The glass bowl that fits the KitchenAid 7QT Proline Stand Mixers is model number KSMF6GB
      • Q:  When I used it the first 2 times there was a black tint in the mixing bowl in my batter? I washed everything before I used it? Not worried about it. I'm sure it will stop with each use.
      • A:  Hello Jacqueline,

We appreciate you reaching out to us with your inquiry.

When using the KitchenAid mixers with the stainless steel bowl, it is normal to have a gray/black tint in your food. This tint is not harmful but can be prevented for future mixing. KitchenAid uses a food grade mechanical polish to keep the stainless steel bowls shiny and pristine. To remove this polish, KitchenAid offers a few ways to get this removed from the bowl. Please see below information regarding the polish and how to remove it from the bowl:

A mechanical polishing process is used in stainless steel bowls to make them shiny.
Occasionally, new stand mixer bowls may have residue in the bowl that cannot be removed in the dishwasher or by hand washing. This residue can discolor food items mixed in the bowl and is not harmful.

        Resolution:

KitchenAid recommends putting a small amount of olive oil in the bowl and spreading it around inside the bowl.

Let this sit for several minutes, then wipe the oil out.
After removing the oil, wash the bowl with hot water and a good detergent.
Or, use a mixture of lemon juice and salt, or a baking soda paste to clean the bowl.

These are food safe alternatives with abrasive qualities that will adequately clean the bowl.

Hope this helps you, Jacqueline. Have a wonderful day.

        Thank you,

        Everything Kitchens

    Awesome mixer!!! Review by

This mixer is everything I expected, and more. I bought it for bread-making, and it has worked out for many other things, too. I've only encountered one negative, and it's not the mixer's fault: my upper cabinets are too low to allow the mixer to sit on the counter when not in use. (Posted on 7/21/17)

    Fantastic Review by

I have been searching for awhile for a Kitchen Aid Mixer. The frosted pearl is what I wanted. Found it on this website and the price was fantastic. It came in 3 days and is absolutely beautiful. I have used it twice now and I love it. Very happy with this purchase. (Posted on 6/6/17)

    Solid tool Review by

After much research, I decided to get a stand mixer to reduce wear and tear on my wrists and chose the Kitchenaid proline 7 qt. I made butter with the whip tool first; I didn't have to reset the bowl clearance and the only sound the mixer made was a soft purr. Next I made bread: single, 2 loaf recipe half AP flour and half WW flour. The motor began clicking loudly as the torque engaged but I knew this was pretty stiff dough and didn't worry about it. The S shaped dough hook does a nice job but I'll have to watch for overprocessing since the motor's strong. Then, I tried the flat beater with chocolate chip cookie dough. The mixer resumed the loud clicking and rocked while mixing this dough. Kitchenaid considers this normal so there's no "fix." Wanted to love this machine but will have to see if I can make my peace with the noise and how difficult cookie dough seems to be for it. (Posted on 5/25/17)

This new workhorse has won me over Review by

I like this color, however I was leaning more towards the silver color. I replaced a 5 qt white Kitchenaid stand mixer, bought in 1995, which had additional attachments. I was pleased to learn that these attachments can be utilized with my new 7 qt. mixer. The new mixer can handle the toughest doughs, without hearing the strain on the motor, as I experienced with my previous mixer. I love the new splash shield/guard, which is one piece. The previous mixer had one that was a 2 piece set-up, where clips held the shield in place. I never used the 2 piece set up, since it was a hassle to install and remove it. So, no more flour and ingredients popping out of the bowl unexpectedly. The reason I bought this mixer was because the bowl handle that holds the bowl in place to the mixer fell off from the 5 qt. mixing bowl. The 5 qt. mixer also had a part replaced a couple of years ago, when the beater stopped revolving, due to a gear that was damaged from operation. The new 7 qt. mixer looks stunning with the pearl white, and am happy I took the leap to buying this as a gift for myself. I hope this mixer will last as long, if not longer than the previous model I owned. (Posted on 1/25/17)

DON'T BUY!!! Go with a different brand! Review by

I bought this for my wife for mother's day 2015. We have used it for Birthdays and holidays, making sure to keep it well maintained and taken care of. Today the mixer stopped making complete rotations. I contacted customer support and was told Kitchen Aid only offers a one year support and that I would need to pay to have the problem assessed and after that, pay an additional fee to have the problem fixed. This is B#**@#!t. I bought this unit for my wife because it is the pro series, it should be able to stand up to wear and tear from a professional, let alone my wife who uses it seldomly for birthday cakes and banana bread. I was told that KitchenAid products would last forever, and I fully expected that if it did not, KitchenAid would at least take care of their customers and try to maintain brand quality. I will be telling friends and family to purchase different brands than KitchenAid who clearly don't care about their customers.

Great Product but Frustrated Review by

I have used Kitchen Aid Products for close to 30 years now. I recently replaced my 6 quart mixer with this 7 quart model. The first unit came broken in the box and had to be returned to the store - a huge inconvenience the week of Thanksgiving when I needed to do a lot of baking. I completely understand, as these things happen. The store graciousely returned the unit and I have been using the new model very happily until today when I was unable to remove the paddle unit after making a batch of cookies. It is unable to be removed after multiple attempts. This is like nothing I have ever experienced with any KitchenAid products. I do not have the box any longer, but have registered the purchase with KitchenAid. Needless to say, I am very frustrated that this is the second unit that I am going to have to return now with the 7 quart model.

    disappointed Review by

I bought this with great expectations. I have to dig out a hand mixer to whip egg whites or cream because the whisk attachment does not reach all the way to the bottom of the bowl. Furthermore, it is difficult to attach the bowl to the mixer. My kids say they wish I still used our old smaller kitchen aid.

    Wife loved it Review by

Purchased as a gift for my wife replacing her old kitchen aid mixer and she was delighted with the larger version. Her holiday baking went much better with a bigger mixer which allowed her to double batches greatly reducing the time required for baking. The mixer was shipped quickly and we have to this point experience no problems. (Posted on 12/22/16)

    Very disappointed Review by

I purchased this mixer in January. It was a big splurge to upgrade from the standard size. I bake a lot, and often in large batches, so I was so excited about the quiet, stronger motor, and the large bowl. Almost immediately the machine started clicking when I used it, particularly when using the dough hook. In addition, the small metal piece on the neck started producing metal shavings, which I thankfully noticed before it fell into my food and seriously injured somebody. Also, the wisk and blades don't completely reach the bottom, so the there a small layer of whatever I'm making that doesn't ever get mixed in. I'm extremely frustrated and disappointed.

New 7 qt Pro Mixer, click click click Review by

I have a new 7 qt Kitchenaid mixer, and just made bread dough with 4 cups of flour. The mixer makes a clicking sound, like the metal gears are not working together properly. I have read that these mixers are prone to gear failure. This is a very troubling clicking sound.

Major paint quality control problems Review by

I have had multiple units shipped to me and each one has had a serious paint flaw, including one with an embedded hair and one with an embedded wire or plastic string. It begs the question: what is wrong with quality control and does this extend to the inner workings? I am ready to pull my hair out in sheer frustration.

Takes the manpower out of baking. Review by

I have had a KitchenAid mixer for many years. I have always loved it, but lately I have been making more breads. This model makes it easy to knead without any strain on the motor. It will make 4 loaves without a problem. I can also make 5-8 dozen large cookies at one time

Could not be happier Review by

Did a ton of research and found this to be the best bang for the buck. My wife is in culinary school as a baking and pastries major so she is constantly experimenting and tweaking her recipes and this is the staple tool. Purchased this one after our 42 year old kitchenaid mixer finally died. Couldn't be happier!

I chose this mixer because the 1.3 HP motor, and I only trust KitchenAid brand for stand mixers. This mixer is so quiet, and so quick! Plus, the red color looks beautiful on my kitchen counter! I do have to apply more pressure than I would like to snap the back of the bowl into the mixer, but it is still easy to use.

    Superior performance Review by

I have used Kitchen Aid stand mixer for many many years. This recent purchase was my third upgrade over the last 30 years. Please note I said upgrade. My previous machines were still working when I traded up and have found their way into other's kitchens! I bought the largest one I could find as I do a lot of baking. I found my new mixer to deliver high quality results and it is much QUIETER than my old one. Very pleased and thank you Kitchen Aid for making a wonderful product.

First Stand Mixer; Pleased!! Review by

This machine is the premium stand mixer of choice. Frost Pearl color is beautiful in contrast with any kitchen decor. Very impressed with the design and versatility of the KitchenAid Mixer. The dimensions of this bowl lift style mixer are aesthetically pleasing and the machine can work well with both minimal and maximum capacity. I have not used the machine much as of yet but I just had to give it a try. After carefully unboxing the mixer, proceeded to wash all the accessories with warm soapy water and stand dry. Began by testing the fit of the bowl, cover shield and each of the mixing accessories. Found that the machine worked well with all the attachments however, I noticed one feature that I felt could use improving. That is the snap clip located on the vertical stand which bends and snaps the bowl into place. Will explain this further into this review. Also ordered the KitchenAid 7-quart Flex Edge Beater Blade (KAFE7L) so that less scraping of the bowl seemed desireable. This accessory is made specifically for the 7-quart model. To further the completion of my new mixer, I have always preferred the clean look of a heavy glass bowl so with my order purchased the KitchenAid 6-quart Glass Bowl Kit (KSMF6GB), which is compatible with this 7-quart stand mixer and I must say that it is a perfect complement to the machine. This bowl requires the use of different attachments which are the "F-Series" and they were provided with the kit. Finally, the KitchenAid Flex Edge Beater for Bowl Lift "F-Series" 6 Quart Glass Bowl Models (KFEF6L). All nice accessories to have with this mixer. Getting back to the previous explanation of the "Snap Clip" which holds the bowl firmly in place and aligned with the bowl lift arms. The "Snap Clip" is effective in locking the bowl in place however, if it were ever so slightly more adjustable, it may aid in final leveling of the bowl. I found that if the retaining screw for that "Snap Clip" allowed it to adjust vertically some, it would aid in allowing the bowl to level a bit better if needed. As mentioned, the additional Glass Bowl Kit fits this mixer nicely but, could use a little tweaking of the "Snap Clip" for a nice level fit. Both bowls, the included 7-quart stainless bowl and the Accessory 6-quart bowl fit the arms nicely but I noticed with the Glass Bowl, that it could be a bit more level to prevent any possible drag or inherent scraping of the inner surface of that bowl. According to the "User Manual", the adjustment screw on the stand is provided to adjust for any tolerance needed to slightly raise or lower the bowl distance to the beater accessory but there is no adjustment to slightly tweak the bowl to being more level. This is the only feature that I feel needs improvement. I really like the Glass Bowl Kit and accessories and this minor deficiency I felt is worth mentioning. The operation of the mixer is satisfactory with the glass bowl in every other aspect. As i found myself anxious to try out my new mixer, I decided on some topping for a Berry Pie which led me to whip up some simple "Meringue" as a topping. Using the 6-quart glass bowl, two egg whites with about a 1/3 cup of sugar, I had perfect "Meringue" in just a little over a minute and a half.."Nicely Whipped Meringue Effortlessly". Enough said and am anxious to get baking now. I see fresh homemade bread, sweet bread, cookies, cakes and desserts in the future use of this "Outstanding Mixer". This "KitchenAid 7 Quart Proline Stand Mixer" is an easy "Five Star Rating" in every way. Design and finish are excellent and provides a beautiful accent to complement its surroundings. The ample mixer is fully capable of any mixing task, large or small, and would be a welcome addition to any kitchen. (Posted on 4/9/15)

I just bought my Proline mixer and I can't be happier. The quality of the unit is unbelievable! The unit and the accessories are heavy duty and solid. I mixed up a large batch of cookie dough in almost no time. I can't believe I've been doing it the hard way for so long! Amazing bit of machinery and worth every penny spent.

Bought two weeks ago, have made breads, pasta, and cookies. Really is a major improvment over the 6 series. So much quieter - we can now talk in the kitchen while it is running! So much power, now I need to think about what I could make that might challenge it - so far has exceeded my expectations on all counts. No regrets with this purchase, will use with joy!

MY FAVORITE SMALL APPLIANCE IN MY KITCHEN Review by

I SPLURGED AND BOUGHT THIS WONDERFUL APPLIANCE A MONTH AGO. 37 YEARS AGO MY HUSBAND BOUGHT ME A KITCHEN AID MIXER FOR VALENTINES DAY. THIS MACHINE HAS BEEN THE BACKBONE OF MY KITCHEN. IT IS STILL PERFORMING JUST LIKE IT DID 37 YEARS AGO WHEN I RECEIVED IT. I HAVE USED THIS MACHINE ON A DAILY BASES AS I LOVE TO BAKE. MY HUSBAND SURPRISED ME WITH THE NEW 7 QT. MIXER. OH MY GOODNESS. THIS MACHINE WITH THE HORSE POWER AND THE QUIETNESS IS BEYOND MY EXPECTATIONS. EVERY RECIPE I HAVE USED THIS MACHINE FOR HAS TURNED OUT WONDERFULLY. I WOULD ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO PURCHASE THE NEW SCRAPING PADDLE AS YOU DO NOT HAVE TO STOP AND SCRAP DOWN THE SIDES OF THE BOWL WHILE MIXING CAKES AND COOKIES. YOU CAN MAKE A TRIPLE BATCH OF COOKIES ALL AT ONE TIME WITH EASE. EVERY COOKIE TURNING OUT PERFECT. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND PURCHASING THE 7 QT. MIXER. I LOVE MY NEW ADDITION TO MY KITCHEN.

The first one had quality problems, but the second one was f Review by

I bought the mixer on Amazon through prime membership and received the mixer in 2-3 days. Two days later I unboxed it and followed the manual instruction for bowl height adjustment. The beater attachment was hitting the sides of the bowl at speeds over 6. The manual said to run this test at top speed. I called Kitchenaid and they determined that the bowl was out of round and would send me a replacement in 5-10 work days. Several days later while waiting for the bowl, The dough hook seemed to spin with no problems,so I decided to try making bagels. The dough is heavy and the instructions say not to use no higher than speed 2 with the dough hook. the mixer had plenty of power but the gears made a loud clicking noise. After finding several people having similar problems and after getting another mixer the new one didn't click. I returned the mixer to Amazon and received a replacement in 2-3 days. The new one made bagel dough without problems. I like the mixer very much and only giving it 4 stars because of having to return the first one.

Bought this primarily to grind wheat and bake bread. It is wonderful! The grain mill attachment is so much quieter than other grain mills I've used and the mixer makes bread baking so easy and quick! It works great!

I love the power and pasta attachment Review by

I originally bought the Costo version of this appliance. I did not like it. I was replacing my 30 year old Artisan model. So I found the Costco 6500 model. Attachments don't fit right and I returned it. So I decided to go ahead and spend the extra money on this one. I love it. Powerful and the attachments fit right. I'm a heavy user of my kitchenaid as I bake all my own bread and make most of my own pasta. I also use the meat grinder attachment. The extra power and larger 7 quart bowl are fantastic. I'm looking forward to having this 30 years like my older Artisan mixer

    Great mixer! Review by

The 7 qt. Mixer is a real pleasure to own. So powerful it goes through just about anything. With that power you get a quite mixer that doesn't fill the room with noise. And the candy apple red is stunning too. Over all a fantastic mixer.

Best Mixer of all time!!! Review by

I brought this mixer a few weeks ago and it is amazing! It has enough power to handle anything and does not struggle like other mixers out there. I can't even begin to describe how wonderful this mixer is. I recommend this product! It is one of Kitchen Aid's more expensive ones to choose from but it is worth ever penny!

    SIMPLY THE BEST! Review by

Finally a KitchenAid product that I can write a great review about. This is by far the best KitchenAid product I have ever owed! It's works like a charm and I no longer worry about burning out the motor while using my pasta attachment. That happened to my old one. My cookie batters come out to perfection every time! I love my mixer!

    Needing a smile Review by

Whenever I need a smile, I just look into my kitchen where my new KitchenAid proline series 7 quart mixer sits. I am 55 years old and up until last year have lived in apartments my entire adult life. For the last 17 years, I lived in a unit that had approximately 2 square feet of counter space in the kitchen. I love to cook, but to do anything elaborate involved extensive, creative planning of counter space, sometimes floor space and/or bed space. Any baking I did had to be done with a hand mixer which really limited my options. Finally, last year I was able to buy my own place with a lovely kitchen. After a few months, I invest in my KitchenAid mixer. I've made cakes, cookies, breads, pizza dough and more...I'm saving for the pasta attachments, I watch so many cooking shows, and making pasta from scratch is kind of a dream for me. So whenever I have had a rough day, all I have to do is turn from my place on the couch and see the fire engine red of my KitchenAid mixer and I immediately remember how far I've come in the last year, and I smile.

    Great mixer Review by

I purchased this mixer for several reasons. The 5 year warranty, the size, and quiet. I call it my little red kitchen sports car. It will never go in the cabinet. I have made homemade noodles, cakes, and Carmelitas. I pan to make bread. I just retired and it was a retirement gift from my mother! I have only had it for a month, but I know I will treasure it forever. Place the bowl on the two spindles and then push the bowl down in the back. It is a little tricky the first time, but after that it is easy to put on. The paddle and hook are very easy to take on and off. I love my mixer!

    AMAZING APPLIANCE Review by

I HAVE OWNED A KITCHEN AID STAND MIXER FOR 20 YEARS. I STARTED OUT WITH A SMALLER VERSION, TILT HEAD. AS MY FAMILY GREW TO MARRIED CHILDREN AND NOW A TOTAL OF 16 GRANDCHILDREN, I ENDED UP WITH NEEDING TWO MIXERS! RECENTLY I GAVE MY 5 QUART TO A DAUGHTER AND BOUGHT THE 7 QUART. I JUST LOVE THE POWER AND CAPACITY, ESPECIALLY THE WHISK ATTACHMENT. MY LITTLE 4 QUART STANDS NEXT TO IT , LIKE A LITTLE BROTHER, ALWAYS READY FOR MY SMALLER BATCHES, OR WHEN I NEED TWO MIXERS GOING AT THE SAME TIME. THIS IS THE BEST KITCHEN TOOL IN MY COLLECTION. WHEN MY HUSBAND AND I WENT TO TURKEY FOR 2 YEARS AS HUMANITARIAN SERVICE VOLUNTEERS, THE FIRST THING I BOUGHT WAS A KITCHEN AID MIXER (TRIPLE THE US PRICE) BECAUSE I COULD NOT LIVE WITHOUT IT! (I donated it to the next couple that came and replaced us)

This mixer just plain makes me happy to use it. The candy apple red color makes my day a whole lot better. It is much quieter than the one I replaced it with. (I gave my older, six quart KitchenAid to my daughter) These machines last seemingly forever, and although I am older now, I anticipate using it for many years. This week, I will be starting on sourdough bread...chocolate chip cookies yesterday. Thank you for making such a wonderful and trustworthy product!!

    HUGE mixing bowl! Review by

I bought this late December and started to use it in January. I made cinnamon roll dough with the dough hook for the first time. (I have always used my hands but now my arthritis is to the point that it is painful to use my hands) Was very surprised how easy it was to use. Only 2 things I didn't care for; #1- the mixer is very heavy and I have hardly any counter space so it goes back into the box and set onto my dining room floor. #2- the mixing bowl is hard to snap into place but it had to be forced a bit. Afraid it might break the attatched knob to hold it in but when it was set in, it was tight & secure. :) Over all, this is a very good piece of kitchen equipment I use all the time. Very, VERY impressed!

A Monstrously Great Machine! Review by

I've been coveting one of these for a long, long time and finally took the plunge. I'm so glad I did! Compared to the hand mixers I've been relying upon, this is the Bentley of mixing machines. Effortless mixing and beating, no need to worry about the bowl spinning out of control, and more attachments than hubby can buy as gifts for me in our lifetime - how much better can it get? This was definitely worth waiting for.

I'm in Love with my KitchenAid Review by

At the beginning of December, just before my holiday baking frenzy began, I saw the ad for the new 7 quart mixer. I couldn't believe it! I have been waiting for a 7 quart mixer to finally be offered and here it was just when I needed it! I bought it right there and then....it was a no brainer, even though I own 2 other KitchenAids. Baking was a breeze, turning triple batches out with no problem. I kept telling my husband, I LOVE this mixer!. Quiet, easy to use, cleans up with no hassles. Love my color red. Best Purchase EVER! Review by

I bought the KitchenAid Proline 7QT mixer and just love it. The large capasity is perfect for making bread recipes with lots of flour. The Proline also efficiently mixes smaller batch recipes with full contact. You can just tell the motor is powered to handle it all. I actually toured the KitchenAid Factory in Greenville, OH and was convinced to go back to this brand after the tour. It is a well built machine by folks who care about what they produce. The mixer is quiet and the Candy Apple Red is just stunning! I'm a loyal fan of KitchenAid mixers! Sincerely ....Flour Child

    Great Machine Review by

After 25 years of using the old Kitchen Aid stand mixer, it finally gave up the ghost. Last year I purchased the Artisan version which I quickly realized was not powerful enough to do bigger jobs. So, I purchase the ProLine 7 last month and used it for doing big Christmas baking jobs. What a wonderful machine! Quiet, steady and really well built for heavy doughs and large batches. This is the one to get if you are a serious cook!

I think I'm in heaven... Review by

My husband bought this for me as a Christmas gift. I have used it at least once a week to make bread and other wonderful things. I make four loaves at a time and the recipe allows me to go from start to bread in two hours. My friends and family love all the bread. I actually got the mixer before Christmas and gave away probably twenty-four loaves. It is very quiet and so far it has not learned to walk around the counter. I would never leave it unattended, however. I also have a 6qt model and I use the two of them when making pasta, one to knead and flatten the dough and the other to cut the dough into noodles. I am having tons of fun with it.

    Quiet and Powerful! Review by

I've always used a tilt head Artisan, and was concerned about such a big change with the bowl-lift. So far I don't like the bowl-lift design, and would rather use a tilt head. But I suppose there is a good reason this powerful mixer does not have the tilt-head. I don't think I will ever like the bowl-lift, but at least it is quieter than my Artisan!

Love my new stand mixer Review by

I've had an Artisan for ten years and was very happy with it. Recently, I've been making more bread and after reading reviews decided to get the Pro Line Mixer. The bowl ws a little tricky to get on and off on the first attempt but once I figured it out it was easy. I've made multiple batches of bread and cookies and I am very satisfied. The large bowl and more powerful motor make a difference for larger dough volumes. I like the curved lame more than my old hook and the pouring shield is much easier to use. My Artisan has been passed on to my daughter.

Worked exactly as I hoped it would. Review by

I bought my mixer in time to make 26 kinds of Chritmas cookies; triple batches of most. I love that I could mix this much at one time. I did not have a mixer like this before, but it took no time at all to get used to how to place the bowl and insert the blade. I am extremely happy with how well and easily is mixes the batter. I did buy the scraper blade as an extra and rarely did any scraping. I am not sure if much more scraping would have been necessary or not if I had used the regular blade.

    fabulous mixer Review by

I received this mixer as a gift after my Kitchen Aid of 14 year died. I debated long and hard about whether a 6 qt or 7 qt would fit my needs. Thankfully my husband ignored the higher price tag and purchased the 7 qt. I can comfortably single or double batches of cookies or cakes. The only down side of this machine is that it started making a clicking noise. it's hard to tell if it needs an adjustment or if the bowl it's self is somehow moving.

    quiet Review by

My old mixer life was about over when I read about the new Kitchenmaid Pro 7 qt stand mixer. After turning it on, I was so impressed by the smooth sound of the motor. It sounded like the expensive sound of a fine automobile. The sound that indicates luxury. In using it, I really like the way that it slow kneads the dough thereby avoiding oxidation and retaining the real flavor of the wheat. It produces a superior loaf of bread.

    It's great, but.... Review by

Truth be told this is my second one of these. The first one had issues in several areas and had to be returned to Williams Sonoma. First, the front emblem where they attachments go fell off. All the way. Mounting ring and all. Next the handle of the side fell off. Lastly, the screw that hold the bowl bracket in the back came undone and the clip fell off. Disappointing for such an expensive mixer. The motor also had trouble with bread. I returned and exchanged the bad unit for another at Williams Sonoma and I am afraid that the issues will return because after two years it appears that construction is the same. Time will tell.... I do like the mixer and I have always been a big fan of KitchenAid, but I think manufacturing has changed and parts are of inferior quality. The bowl is also deeper than the attachments and many things go unmixed in the bottom.

Must have for anyone who bakes! Review by

I am a professional baker and own my second bakery now. I have used professional commercial equipment and other kitchenaid mixers. When my 5qt's motor died after many years of service (in a professional kitchen with daily use) it was time for me to upgrade and am I glad I did! The 7qt is a diamond mixing machine. It's so easy to use. It's so easy to clean. I love the plastic guard - trust me I know how to make a mess but this machine is powerful and quiet. I am so very happy with my purchase and look forward to buying a second one in the near future. If you can only have one machine in your kitchen - better make it a kitchenaid. They are built solid and they are built to last.

    Love This Mixer Review by

I used to have a refurbished KitchenAid Professional 5.5, and it was loud and did not seem to handle bread dough real well. I ordered the KitchenAid Pro Series 7 qt. and to my surprise it is much quieter and handles bread dough better than the lower wattage mixers. I love my mixer and when this one dies, I will be purchasing another KitchenAid Mixer. The attachments are very easy to clean and work well. I would like to see a glass bowl made for the Pro Series Bowl Life Series so I could purchase it. All in All I am very happy with my purchase and the fact that where I purchased my mixer stands behind their products 100%, that makes me more at ease if something were to go wrong with it, they will replace it, or let's just say, that is what I was told.

    My BFF Review by

Twenty-one years ago, I purchased a Kitchenaid stand mixer. I had developed tennis elbow and could barely pick up a bowl much less do any stirring and mixing. It became the best kitchen investment I ever made. When we remodeled our kitchen, a dedicated cabinet was built for the mixer and other appliances. It wasn't long before I decided to just leave the mixer on the counter as it was used numerous times a week. After all these years, the mixer has worked well without any issues. This last summer, I upgraded to the Pro Line Model in that beautiful pearl white. Now I can make double and triple batches of cookies, desserts and pasta for the holidays! I love both my Kitchenaid mixers (as well as my double-drawer Kitchenaid dishwasher). Thank you, Kitchenaid!

    Excellent choice! Review by

This mixer gets the job done! I love all of the features and am thrilled I purchased this model. It handles large jobs and doesn't sound like the motor is going to burn up. Love it....... I bought the new scraper paddle and I am happy with that purchase as well.

    It's even better!!! Review by

Kitchenaid has really outdone themselves with this new Pro Line 7 Quart stand mixer! I've long loved my Kitchaid 6 quart stand mixer and honestly couldn't imagine the new Pro Line series stand mixer being any better other than just a bit larger capacity. I stand corrected. My new Pro Line stand mixer is totally amazing! Not only can I use the attachments that I'd already purchased for my 6 quart stand mixer, the extra capacity makes making large batches of cookies and bread dough even easier. Best of all, the new Pro Line is amazingly quiet. I can actually have a conversation with my husband while running the mixer! Needless to say, I'm thoroughly impressed! Way to go Kitchenaid!

    love this mixer Review by

I had a KitchenAid mixer that I'e had for 33 years-- it still works! and when I remodeled my kitchen promised I'd get a new, bigger version. My husband bought the new mixer for my birthday and it is great. We have a family that cooks and we all are enjoying it's bigger capacity and power. Hope this one lasts as long as the other one!

    Great Power Review by

I am extremely pleased with my mixer. I've owned a 5 qt. Kitchenaid for 20 years but wanted a larger, more powerful one for doubling cookie doughs and making breads. The power of this motor is exactly what I needed.

    Wonderful product! Review by

My husband got this for me a few months ago. He made sure to get me most of the attachments as well. It stays on my counter and that's saying a lot considering I don't have tons of space. It's working for me almost every day as I cook. I love the bowl lift feature. It's a real improvement over the more standard bend up arm. It means I get to leave the mixer under the above counter cabinet and still remove the bowl instead of sliding it out to the edge. I love the ease of use for the attachments. They are simple to put on, take off, and quick to clean. I used this one to replace a KitchenAid mixer that was nearly 20 years old. If this one lasts half as long, it will be an awesome investment. I would highly recommend this mixer to anyone who bakes/cooks often.

    Heavy-duty! Review by

I've never owned a stand mixer before, but I'm really happy with this one so far. It's really sturdy, easy to use, and has a huge capacity. I wish it had some of the cool new features I see on other high-end stand mixers, such as the countdown timer with automatic shutoff for when your recipe says beat for 5 minutes. With this mixer I have to set a separate timer, so that feature would have been really useful to me.

    powerful, quietly so Review by

unit is powerful, quietly so. only problem encountered was difficulty in mounting the bowl on the latch at the back of the bowl( where the protrusion on outside of bowl inserts into the dimple to stabilize the bowl during mixing). Fixed problem by loosening the dimple mechanism.

    I love it!! Review by

I love the lowest setting for the stirring. I have a KitchenAid for many years but in the past even the lowest setting would send flour and sugar all over the counter but this one really does just stir. Fabulous! I also really like the new protector for the top. It is much easier to use than the older model 2 piece one. I also got the extra scraper beaters blade and that is great but a caution you cannot use this with the plastic lid on top because when you lower your bowl it hits the plastic lid and sends it spinning. Great product I love the size I can now do some of my larger cookie and bread recipes without having to divide halfway through or having the mixer overheat. Great Product!

Very Awesome Kitchen Tool Review by

I purchased this a couple of months ago and was debating the 5 quart versus the 7 quart mixers. Finally opted for the 7 quart mixer with the stainless bowl. This mixer is fantastic. No matter how thick the dough is or if I do a double batch, this mixer is up to the task. To date, I am making bread every week. I have also purchased the full set of pasta attachments and have been making various pasta's. Everything is better fresh and handmade. My wife and I agree, one of the best kitchen purchases we have made. On a side note, the stainless bowl is very lightweight and when I am cleaning, I imagine what the difference would be if I opted for the glass bowl. I am convinced the stainless bowl is the way to go. We have never missed not having a glass bowl.

Great quiet and powerful mixer! Review by

I love the mixer! I bake bread every week for my family plus many other things so it is used frequently. I like the size for my 4 loaf recipes and it is much quieter than the 6qt. which I still own as well.

    Whimpy machine Review by

I bought this about a month ago. No very happy as the motor got pretty hot while making pizza dough. My dough is really light and fluffy not hard so I am very concerned.

Finally - A truly Heavy-Duty stand mixer Review by

This is the mixer that Kitchenaid should have been making years ago, rather than the so-called heavy duty mixer that was the top of line in home mixers for years - I had one, mainly used to make bread, gave me nothing but grief - 4 major failures over 5 years; always sounded as if it was laboring and couldn't properly do the job; always running hot. Have only had the new one for 3 months, but what a difference so far - mixes bread dough with no sign of straining, much quieter, runs cooler, does an excellent job of mixing. I still have my fingers crossed after my previous experience, but it looks promising!

    It's a workhorse! Review by

I upgraded to this Pro Line Mixer from the Pro 600 and there is a world of difference between the two. This 7-qt is capable of mixing large batches of dough without overworking the machine, although I haven't use the mixer much for that application. What I was most impressed with was the way I could use all my KA attachments with the mixer. Even though the Pro 600 accommodated the attachments, they work so much better with the Pro Line. I am able to make several batches of pasta at one time or grind meat or strain vegetables or make ravioli without the machine overheating. Couldn't be happier with it.
