Broke after 3 juices Review by

    Broke after making 3 juices.

    Great attachment Review by

I was happy to find this special attachment to use with my existing kitchenaid appliance rather than set another freestanding juicer on my counter with limited space. It works very well but does permit a few solid pieces through and that is why I gave lt a 4 rating.

    source kitchenaid.com (Posted on 4/2/17)

    Works great Review by

It would be better if the juicer got more juice out of the fruit like most other juicers. Otherwise I have had not problems and I use it every weekend for the past 2 months.

I think for the price this is an excellent juicer. Review by

I had to turn my first one in as it made a super loud thumping sound. Second one better. Juices better, cleans easier, takes less space to store and is just all around more convenient to use than my standalone juicer.

    Brilliant Review by

Research on juicers left me confused and unsure of direction. Everyone has a definite opinion about the best. Well, I just wanted to get some nutrients in my body from the source without putting a 2nd mortgage on the house. Beginner or not, this was the perfect choice for me. It masticates slowly which simply chews and squeezes the juice so I can benefit from the nutrients without having to do the work. Now I use that extra energy to maintain a clean house. Of course we need fiber and I get it when I eat my vegetable bean soups and salads. This attachment made sense in that I could use a tool (mixer) already owned. It was 20% the price of the best Juicer and 100% the satisfaction of filling my nutrition needs. Thank you Kitchen Aid.

In love! Super easy to use! Review by

absolutely looove my juicer ! its super easy to use and really gets every drop of juice. I would have given it 5 stars but there's little things that could have been better like, it's alot bigger than I expected so it's not something I'd leave attached to use daily. Also, it freaks me out that my mixer gets really hot after using the juicer too long. However, I still looove my juicer!

    Great Juicer! Review by

I have been eyeballing masticating juicers for a long time and couldnt believe that i could get an attachment for it on my already AWESOME KitchenAid appliance. For 1/4 of the price

    Doesn't work right Review by

Tried to make apple sauce with this attachment. Followed the instructions and online tutorials, however the sauce was full of pulp. Very disappointing. However a friend has one and it works great! I guess I got a lemon.

    Great Juicer!! Review by

I use this juicer 3-4 times a week and it works great! My only complaint is cleaning is kind of a pain but it kind of comes with the territory!

    Very bad purchase Review by

My son bought this for me for Christmas knowing that I had been unsuccessfully searching for a better tool for making tomato sauce and raspberry jam. I can't tell you how badly I feel that he spent his money on this product. There are far too many parts to make this easy to use, and once I got it together I had to take it apart every few minutes to clean the tomato seeds out of the strainer and pulp chute. I freeze my tomatoes in the summer and process them in the colder months, and I was only trying to process two defrosted gallon bags of tomatoes. And to top it off, what did come through was a very thin liquid full of seeds. I ended up just giving up and tossing the rest of the tomatoes because it was so frustrating. I don't know how you can make a product that plainly doesn't do what it was built to do. I'd return it in a second, but my son was so proud to have gotten it for me that I'm going to have to keep it and hide the new strainer that I'll have to buy. Maybe it works as a juicer, but if you're thinking of buying this as a saucer, don't.

    Great product Review by

This juicer works great! I have used it several times and it works really well. It gets most of the juice out of things, which is evident by how dry the pulp is. There are a lot of parts, so it turns into a project to clean up afterwards. This deters me from making juice as often as I would like to; that is just me being lazy though.

I love my New Attachment Review by

Juicing with this KitchenAid Attachment is so easy to use & easy to clean as well! I just love the different pulp level filters! Being able to get all the vitamins & nutrients from fruits & vegetables, so quickly, never been more fun! I don't even have to add water! It's amazing to see all that turn to pure juice before your eyes!

Good trade off if you already have the stand mixer Review by

I bought this because I was looking for a masticating juicer but didn't want to pay $300. If you already have the stand mixer, it's a good deal. I doubt it is as good as dedicated masticating juicers. It slows our Artisan and the pulp shoot clogs up occasionally, but it gets the job done.

    Good Option Review by

My husband wanted a juicer, but I didn't want another large bulky appliance on our kitchen counter. This was a great compromise since we already have the kitchenaid mixer. It is still rather larger, but we can easily store it away in a cabinet. Like most juicers, it's a total pain to clean. It's definitely slow and I feel like I'm going to burn out my mixer motor when I use it because you have to have it on high. It does a great job of getting all of the juice out of your veggies. The pulp comes out really dry and dense.

It really speeds up the process of making tomato juice. Review by

I bought this a few months ago, specifically to make my homemade V8 juice. I am so glad I did. It sped up the process so much. I like all the different features of the juicer, but there is a little bit of a learning curve to it. I love the fact that it has rubber scrapers inside the bowl of the juicer. It was well worth the money paid for it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. After I made the juice, I made some salsa. It worked great!!!

Very Easy to Use Review by

I love this juicer. It has made making fresh juice pretty quick and easy for us. My kids love it! There are a lot of pieces to wash, so I would say that would be the only down side.

    Good product Review by

This juicer is average in terms of noise level while juicing, I don't find this extremely important as far as juicing however, some may so I included this for those this applies to. One feature that is difficult if your not accustomed to an attachment juicer is the latch in back on top has to have some force to opporate this item if it isn't secured then the juicer will not run. When I first began using the juicer it was a little unsettling because I feared the plastic would snap but it hasn't and all runs nicely. After one pitcher of juice the pulp catch does fill, I believe this to be positive because it allows the user to remain faithful in keeping it clean which allows for a better juicing experience. I give this a three thumbs up overall because the juice does come out nicely.

    Great attachment! Review by

We bought this as an alternative to buying a separate juicing machine to save on cupboard and counter space. Seems much smaller than a regular juicer would so happy about that! We aren't everyday juicers but it has worked well so far. The low pulp basket split at a seam in the first month and Kitchenaid sent a replacement right away- great customer service.

Good but not quite as good as it should. Review by

Normally I love Kitchenaid products but this one falls a bit short. After only having the juicer a month both juicing strainer baskets have cracked. I believe this is due the fact the molding process leaves the metal at the bottom of the basket exposed creating a weak point. Also there is a gap at the top where the press and the basket meet that allows large chunks of fruits or vegetables to get to the juice side of the extractor. Finally the input shaft of the juicer leaks a bit of grease during use. It's not noticeable until you remove the juicer and end up with grease all over your hands. When this juicer was new and working properly it worked fairly well. Processed fruits and vegetable as advertised, minus any seeds of course. The small bits that escaped into the juice were easily strained out, which was only a minor annoyance. All in all I thought I would use this attachment for quite a while, but at this point I'm not sure it will last. I'm going to try and get the baskets warrantied in hopes that they have been redesigned or may possibly last a bit longer. If not I will be sadly looking at a different product.

Easiest and best juicer i have ever used Review by

This juicing attachment is so simple to attach to Kitchenaid mixer, and all the parts clean up quick and easily. I have used several juicers in the past, and I have to say this is the best one I have ever used. it gets every drop of juice out all you put in. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT.

    Love! Review by

Love juicing tomatoes to use for canning!

    source kitchenaid.com (Posted on 11/26/16)

    Good attachment Review by

This attachment works quite well. Just make sure you align the red arrows on the lid to the main unit before running the motor. The pulp/no pulp slide is a little confusing at first, but through trial and error, it works great at adjusting how much you want to let through into the juice. It extracts a good amount of liquid from vegetables and fruits. It seems like it will be great for making tomato sauce, but have not tried it yet for that purpose. Clean up is pretty standard fare for a juicer - many parts, but they rinse off very easily if done right after usage. Not a five star because it's hard to find a compact way to store the attachment when not in use.

KitchenAid Slow juicer attachment Review by

We started juicing a year ago and love it. We had a Sandström juicer from and used it for 2½ years until it burned up. Bought the KitchenAid Slow juicer attachment last month and it's worked great, I'm a big fan of Kitchen Aid products. I'm educated as a professional chef and have worked in restaurants of & on for 40 years. After 4 weeks of juicing 1-2 times daily the gear jammed and wouldn't move. I sent a letter to Bagaren och Kocken in Göteborg and I'm sure they will replace it right away. I hope I have better luck with the next one.

KitchenAid Juicer and Sauce Attachment (slow juicer) Review by

The Juicer and Sauce Attachment to the KitchenAid is a must have in my kitchen now. I use it almost daily with 5 High School and College age kids at home. They seem to always have a hungry appetite whenever they come thru the door. The Juicer helps with making them something quite and healthy like a fruit smoothy or a some fresh applesauce with cinnamon. They also come up with many ideas of their own when they open the fridge and see what is in there. They put many things together using peanut butter, jam or jelly and etc.

Great Idea.... Poor execution Review by

I bought this in March of 2016 as a gift. Its broken already but cannot seem to get it fixed or exchanged Bc the company claims it was bought it 2014? This will be the last kitchenaid product I buy personal or for my restaurant.

    Good juicer Review by

I've never used a juicer before but this one works very well. We have juiced all types of vegetables such as carrots, celery, and peppers as well as fruits. We make up our own recipes all the time and they always taste great. The only problem is the strainer that separates the pulp from the juice so hard to clean.

Great option for a slow juicer Review by

Just as good as the $500 juicers from Omega and Horum. Works very well. Easy clean up. Multiple screens for different levels of juice pulp. Includes a cutter head to make juicing more efficient. My only complaint comes when juicing passion fruit. If you fill it too full of plup, some seeds will slip by the screen over the top.

I can't recommend it Review by

I've bought one from Amazon and it broke after just 1 week. It got completely stuck, when I was puting some Kale salate :( Since it needs a lot of force to extract the juice, now I think is much better a juicer with direct drive then some intermediady mechanism. I wouldn't recommend it. I'm a kitchenaid fan, I have many thing from them, but this one I would return it, if I could.

Great time saver and works pretty slick. Review by

I bought this unit about 2 weeks ago. We have about 30 bushels of tomatoes being made into sauce. I have used a food mill before for this task and was not looking forward to repeating. I was in Canadian Tire and saw this unit on the self. Didn't care about the price which was not that bad actually. This unit works GREAT and saved me a DAY of hand milling. Cleans up pretty easily and has every thing you need in one box. And the plastics are TOUGH and look like they will last a long time. Wish I have done this years ago. Worth every DANG DIME.

    So-so performance Review by

I was super excited about this juicing attachment BEFORE I used it, but soon realized that it clogs quickly, is fairly messy and is a pain to clean. I recently tried using it to make tomato sauce and found that I could only process 3-4 tomatoes before it clogged and I had to disassemble and clean out the skins. I think I'm going to buy a real juicer and go back to my manual food mill. Would not recommend, especially for the price.

MAKES FOR A GREAT SAUCE!!! Review by

I juiced almost 800 pounds of tomatoes this year!!!! This juicer made my life sooo much easier... less cleaning, no blanching, better tasting, no time wasted in the kitchen! This product cut my saucing from a 4 hour job cutting, peeling, straining 12 cups to less than 30 minutes per 12 cups!!! I LOVE this product and would highly recommend! Let's not forget, my family loves the taste, and enjoyed having our kitchen back to normal quickly :)

    Awesome kitchen addition Review by

I got the Juice as a wedding present. It is great and easy to use. It's also easy to clean as most of the pieces are dishwasher safe. Since opening, I use my juicer roughly 5-6 times a week.

Does the trick without taking up counter space Review by

Bought for celery juicing, which is tough on a machine & works well! Does not take up valuable counter space, since we already had our stand mixer on the counter.

Bad performance and hard to clean Review by

Juiced quite different fruits so far and I am not happy with this add on, my dad's juicer from the 60's works way better. With pineapple, the mesh of the finest accessory is still too big and you end up eating the juice With drier fruit the dried stuff clogs the machine and you have to empty it by hand There are a lot of pieces to clean The rotating blade is worthless and makes the juicing process really slow.

    source kitchenaid.com (Posted on 9/5/16)

    Don't bother! Review by

I used the juicer twice and it stopped working. I read the recommendation for the product, so I steamed the hard fruits and veggies for 3 minutes. I made sure not to rush so that the machine could clear itself. Well, that still didn't work! The produce would get stuck the the auger! I had to stop twice to clean it and when I tried to start it up again the juicer wouldn't work!

    sturdy parts Review by

I've been using this for about a month and love it! I feel like the parts are all strong and well-made. My blend typically consists of green apples, carrots, celery, parsley, kale, beets (with greens), lemons and ginger. It works well for everything. Very impressed! Since we are planning on building a small home and minimalizing in the next couple of years we know that anything we have must serve more than one purpose to save space. This fits right in with our new lifestyle.

I'm a daily Juicer Review by

At first it was difficult to use. I even broke a basket. Kitchenaid replaced without question. The excess produce left behind and the getting plugged all the time bugged me. This happens the most with leafy greens. Then I discovered a trick or two. I leave my speed on 10 and start and finish with ice cubes. If it starts acting or sounding like it is going to plug up I put ice cubes in it.

    Amzing juicer Review by

I was in the market for a juicer and it was hard to decide which one would be the best investment. My boyfriend bought me a Kitchen Aid for my birthday and I was so excited for all of the attachments I couldn't wait to purchase. This juicer is great! Not only can I make juices but I can make sauces and just get creative. I am culinary student and the fact that I have more than one use for this attachment is a huge bonus. Very Pleased After Three Months Review by

This was a Christmas present that we immediately put to use. We have used it at the very least once a week for three months now, and have been very happy! We love the juice and have been extremely happy with the juicer attachment! We really wish we got one sooner. Our first concern after the first use was how hot it made our Professional HD 475 Max Watt Stand Mixer's motor. I think I noticed it at first more due to a smell, that went away after the first couple uses. Either the motor doesn't get as hot any more, or what was really bothering me was the smell, or I'm just used to it now, not sure which. The mixer with or with out the juicer attachment has yet to give me any issues. The other little complaints I think are more just learning this tool/attachment. For instance, the pulp and juice containers are very short compared to where the juicer attachment is. The juice one is the real issue, because the juice splatters. We ditched the juice container for a large pitcher. The juice spout when closed drips juice. The juicer isn't perfect, but it is close. I'd get one again, and recommend the juicer attachment and mixer to anyone. On a different note, I think this juicer gets more juice out of an orange then the citrus juicer, and is easier, and funner to watch for the kids. But a lot more clean up.

I bought it and I use it every day. Love making juice and I use the juice for ice pops and it is working with my diet and my friend uses it also and she loves it and if hers at home breaks she will be getting one for her kitchen aid mixer. Thanks so much for this fantastic attachment.

So Far, So Good Review by

I have had this juicer attachment about a week. I bought it so I could start incorporating more fruits and veggies into my busy busy life. It has worked well for me so far. It's a masticating juicer, so it's slower than other juicers I've had, but I like how this one can be used with my KitchenAid Architect Series stand mixer. My fiancée is an engineer, so he showed me how to properly assemble and disassemble it for cleaning. I can even make homemade applesauce for my infant grandson when he comes over. I like it so far!

    juicing Review by

You get a lot more fiber than juice, even when you steam the hard fruits and veggies for a few minutes as suggested. It's not worth the space it takes up. I haven't tried making sauce, but my Cuisinart does a great job.

    Expensive mistake Review by

The juicer attachment does not fit in the hub of the Professional 600 model, although it is marketed to fit all models. After inserting and pinning the attachment in the hub, the drive shaft turns without engaging the juicer attachment, which jumps and rattles. In addition, the gasket on the pulp chute either blocks all passage or lets all leak out. We need to get a refund.

    Love it Review by

Sturdy on my KitchenAid stand mixer. I juice lots of root vegetables, had no issue and machine never even gets warm. It is nice that it has three baskets. The best part besides the juice, of course, is that it is so easy to clean. I strive for easy to clean appliance because I know that I will uses them more. I use mine every second day.

    Very Disappointed Review by

I bought this in August 2015 along with a KitchenAid Professional 600 series stand mixer and had used it twice and loved it. It was exactly what I was looking for. The third use, it locked up in my mixer and stripped the metal away. I called KitchenAid and they sent out a new mixer and juicer attachment right away, hassle free. Well here we are again in January and the same thing has happened again. With the cost of this thing, I treated it very cautiously and never put any parts in a dishwasher. I would not waste your money on this attachment.

    Beets are bad Review by

I finally got my wife a stand mixer for Xmas, but our son bought one for the both of us. We took one back and got a bunch of attachments, including the macerating juicer. We were really enjoying it. The pasta sauce recipe was delicious over some spiralized zucchini. We managed to try 3 of the juice recipes in the manual. The ruby red juice killed the juicer. I dropped a half a small beet down the feed tube and heard gears stripping until it seized up entirely. I hope I didn't damage the mixer also. We're hoping to replace it, but won't be juicing any beets or hard vegetables. We have a 525 Watt mixer, but the juicer couldn't handle a beet.

    Not impressed Review by

Really not impressed with this product. Way too many pieces, difficult to assemble, makes very little juice for a tremendous amount of fruits/vegetables. Makes a terrible grinding noise. Difficult to clean.

Bought this for 2 month and have been using it almost everyday. Just some area is difficult to clean cause the residue of the juices is trap in some places. Overall a very good product. There is even a casing provided to store different filter.

    Works very well Review by

I had a centrifugal juicer from Brevelle. I was never happy with and returned it. This is MUCH better. Juice doesn't separate and taste much, much better. Cleanup is about like the old machine, but they are all so so when it comes to that. I've made a few sauces, they turned out very well!

    Juicy Juice Review by

I have had my Kitchen-Aid Juice for about a month now after purchasing it from Bed Bath & Beyond. I'm loving the quality of the juice, I feel like this appliance juices more juice from the fruits and vegetables than my previous juicers. I love that appliance doesn't spin the vegetables, but smashes them. I have found that this appliance is slower than other than other juices though, it takes me a little longer even when the Kitchen Aid is on Level 10. I have also found when I'm juices Carrots & Beats that the appliances makes a loud clicking noise when its spinning, its as if its too much for the appliance at one time. I'm still figuring out what is making the sound, but have noticed it.

I bought this just in time to handle my bumper crop of small plum tomatoes and it worked great for sauce. It removed all skin and seeds and left a nice consistency sauce which I then canned. For me, well worth the investment. Just be sure to read the instructions carefully.

Love my new Juicer Review by

I received this juicer as a birthday gift and I LOVE it! I have only used the juice option, I haven't used it to make sauces yet. Occasionally, it will get stuck or hug up when juicing things like pineapple or kale, but generally following it with a veggie that has structure (like a cucumber) will help push it through. It is a Slow Juicer so by by definition it isn't a quick process but I feel that this juicer does a much better job than my previous one at extracting more juice from my fruits and veggies. Having it on for long periods of time, can cause the motor of the mixer to get hot. It is very easy to take apart and clean. I know that there are many who would say that it is expensive, but considering it is a masticating juicer, I think it does well for the price. (there are many masticating juicers that are even more expensive)

    Review of Juicer Review by

We purchased the juicer attachment with the notion that we would use it to make beet juice (definitely an acquired taste); however we look forward to every trip to the grocery store to get some new type of fruit to juice. Pineapple is so far the favorite. We love the juicer attachment and would highly recommend it.

Best juicer & sauce maker I've ever used!!! Review by

This attachment works great. I've made both sauce and juice with it. I have used a variety of different fruits and vegetables and have not had a problem. I love how dry the pulp extract is, it really gets all the juice out of the product that you are processing.

I was a little concerned when I read some reviews of it burning up the mixer. However, I am using the Professional series stand mixer which is a heavier made mixer than the Artisan series. This product does not strain the motor when using it, it does get some what hot, which makes sense because you are having to run it on high speed as you process the food. Although the reviews I read about it burning up the mixer didn't specify what series mixer they were using, I wonder if it wasn't the Artisan series. I'm not sure I would recommend using this product on the Artisan series mixers because of this. If you do have an Artisan series mixer I would just keep an eye on my motor and use common sense - if the motor starts to strain - stop, if it gets to hot or you start to smell the motor - stop!

Read the manual before use! I've used several kinds of juicers and they are all a little different, including this one. Some reviews seemed like if they had only read the manual first and learned how to use the product properly that they wouldn't have had such a hard time or bad experience using this product.

I am not one who likes washing things by hand so I love that pretty much all the parts are dishwasher safe (on the top rack). Even though the manual says this, I am a little spectacle. I have owned other types of juicers in the past that also say they are dishwasher safe, but inevitably the blades over time would dull. I don't know exactly why, maybe they weren't made as well as this product. But in any case, I'm not taking a chance, I wash the blade and strainers by hand. I also love how easy it is to take a part and clean. It comes with a very handy cleaning brush that makes getting all the left over residue out of those aggravating nooks and cranny's (including the screens) very easy before washing.

All in all I love this product and would recommended it to others. (Posted on 7/29/15)

Broke on first use Review by

Broke the first time I used it trying to make carrot, kale and celery juice. Nothing was too overwhelming for this apparently sturdy juicing attachment but it made several clicking noises, stopped rotating and jammed. The plastic container does not sit flush with the metal base even when locked in place. If I push down hard it will begin to rotate but the same awful clicking noise when the inner scraper catches and releases still occurs. Return/refund. Worst wedding registry item yet.

Very easy to put together (at least that's what I find) and works great! I've tried it so far with banana, various berries, apples, mango, ananas... Best juicer. Review by

Love this juicer! I saw this while shopping at Costco and knowing they have a great return policy I was willing to try it. I have a son with autism who has trouble with a lot of food textures but loves orange juice. It is a great way for me to get fresh juice for him, I also add an apple, lemon or piece of pineapple in with the oranges. I do not even add extra sugar. I had a different juicer but it took so many oranges to get a small glass of juice. I use about six to eight large oranges to get 3 glasses of juice. It is not too hard to clean.

    Dissapointing Review by

I was SO excited when I found out Kitchenaid made a juicer attachment only to be extremely disappointed. Like many other reviewers, i thought this would solve our need to have a separate juicer appliance and take up less counter space but I will be replacing it. It's loud, very slow and often struggles to keep up. When trying to juice leafy vegetables such as spinach, the juice jams up and the basket clogs up. I've given up on juicing carrots because it just can't seem to keep up and the pulp still has LOTS of juice. All in all I'm very disappointed.

    Absolute Garbage Review by

I got My Juicer attachement for Christmas, Anxious to juice myself and my wife bought a backload of Vegetables and Fruit. the First Morning we struggled to get the thing together as you need a fair amount of brute furce to get the safety pin to engage. At first it worked welll on soft fruit and Leafy Greens but as soon as the Root Veg or even Apples were added you could hear the strain on the Mixer, this was followed by the attachment jamming up and us having to take apart a machine that was full of beet pulp ( Pretty Messy). I would definately not recommend this product to anyone serious about juicing, if you want it to puree a sauce or jam I could see it working but seems cumbersom in comparison to food processor or hand blitzer.

Great addition for our family Review by

We got this as a gift, and prior to using it researched the heck out of juicers. Once we figured out we wanted an auger-type(better at extracting, and juice lasts longer-less oxidation than a centrifuge-type), we put it to the test. There are a couple of advantages which become apparent only after using the juicer. One, we are able to adjust the speed. This enables me to lower the revolutions, therefore allowing more juice to be extracted, or increase the speed when I hear it starting to strain a bit. Another is that the auger has a slicer blade on top, similar to a food processor. This effectively slices up the food products such that the auger is much more efficient and to date we have not had it get stuck. I must say after watching countless videos and reading reviews about the pros and cons that we are very happy with this choice. We do not have another appliance, it works as advertised, and my wife is very happy with her great tasting and healthy juice. Thank you KitchenAid!

I have a Breville Juice Extractor and the Kitchen Aid Slow Juicer attachment. The slow juicer is nice because you can get some of the fiber in the juice which you cannot with the Breville Extractor. Its also nice to have the ability to make sauces and jams with it.

Struggles to keep up Review by

The juicer is slow, this didn't bother me much. It handles decent sized pieces of fruit and veggies. It is easy to clean and use. The extruded pulp however is quite wet, so it doesn't squeeze it very well. The pulp shoot plugs up frequently. Harder veggies like carrots and beets challenge the motor. We used this machine about 4 times, then a small plastic piece snapped off while it was running. It still runs, but I question the quality of the machine.
