For perfectly roasted meat and vegetables, reach for the 3-Quart Heritage Round Casserole by Le Creuset! Made with the same legendary stoneware used in all of Le Creuset’s bakeware, this distinctive Flame Orange casserole dish recalls designs of the 1930s and 1940s with its traditional loop handle and scalloped side handles. Like all Le Creuset stoneware, it maintains even temperatures and prevents scorching, prevents hot or cold spots, and cooks food uniformly, so you produce the kind of food your family and friends will rave about!
The smooth, impermeable glaze resists staining and is nearly-nonstick, so food will release easily, and because the exterior enamel is so durable, you won’t have to worry about chips or scratches. It’s safe for the oven, broiler, microwave, refrigerator, or freezer, and since it resists stains and odors, it’s ideal for preparing your dish and storing in the refrigerator until it’s time to bake. Use this 3-qt Heritage Round Casserole to bake pasta for an easy weeknight dinner, to bake your signature casserole, or marinate and then bake a roast.

By Le Creuset (shown here in the Black Signature Round Casserole)
Mix the strong flour, salt, 2 tablespoons of the poppy seeds and dried yeast in a large bowl and make a hollow in the middle. Add 8 ounces (225mil) lukewarm water followed by 3 of the eggs, honey, and sunflower oil. Using a large spatula begin by mixing the fluid ingredients gently together, and then gradually pull in the flour. Start in the middle and work your way outward. Once the mixture has come together, turn it out onto a well-floured board.
Knead the mixture with well floured hands for at least for 10 minutes until you obtain an elastic dough. Grease the casserole and place in the dough, cover with a kitchen towel and place in a warm dry place. Allow the dough to rise for 1½ hour or until its volume has doubled. You may also let it rise in a cool place for a longer period of time.
Beat the remaining egg and brush over the risen dough and then sprinkle it with the remaining tablespoon of poppy seeds. Bake it in a pre-heated oven at 425°F for 10 minutes, and then reduce the heat of the oven to 375°F and bake for another 30 minutes. Delicious eaten warm with butter.
